Hello, everyone! Today we have another mythical and amazing author, Sofufff, whose story 'Fallen' achieved the status of Wattys 2022 Shortlisted.

About the Author: Sofufff (aka Sofus) is an author who likes to write silly stories in his free time.

About 'Fallen': Caleb is an ordinary teenager living a somewhat drama-free life. Well, at least until a tall and handsome angel crashlands in his backyard with a damaged wing, a broken memory, and a whole lot of unwanted trouble.

1. What made you start writing on Wattpad? What has been your favorite moment so far on the orange app?

I have always enjoyed writing stories and liked the thought of putting it up online somewhere, but always cowered away out of fear of not being good enough. Then suddenly, I just decided it was better to just write and be bad at it, so that I could learn and eventually become better. So far my favorite moment was waking up after a BAD BAAAD hangover to being featured on Editors Choice, and my phone just blowing up with messages of amazing people liking my story!

2. Which mythology and/or legends influenced your story? Why did you choose those?

Angels... definitely. I see angels less in a religious aspect and more of a guardian of some sort, pure-hearted and true fighters. I've always loved the thought of putting someone who seems human enough, but not nearly enough to wander around on earth without being recognized, with someone so insanely human. And then them learning the good and the bad together and growing like that.

3. Tell us about the main character of one of your stories. What inspired their creation?

M, short for Michael, is one of my main characters in Fallen and he is a big lovable idiot. He's a take on how I see an angel, both brave and ready to take up a fight for what they love, but also somewhat naive and prone to doubt. And that's how he came to be, falling from the sky and into the backyard of someone very special ;)

4. What were some challenges you experienced while writing the story?

There has been quite a lot of challenges while writing Fallen. Trying to uphold a reasonable schedule in uploading chapters while also having school on the side and exams... was certainly one of them, and don't even get me started on writers block.Another thing I struggled with was the thing I like to call "the call of cringeness," where I just felt like I should've just hidden in a hole and given up because who in the hell would even read my story? But I've learned that as long as I enjoyed writing it then nothing else really mattered.

5. Do you have a song playlist for writing? Can you share one with us?

I don't actually, I just listen to whatever I'm in the mood for... and It can vary, a lot.  

6. What is your favorite myth or legend? Why?

I would have to say Icarus from Greek Mythology because I find the daring dumbass-ary of Icarus and the crash and burn it precedes to cause is amazing to think about... also because I've oddly been compared to him once, which I find very interesting to say the least.

7. What is your favorite mythical creature? Why?

That gotta be Unicorns, hands down. I have no real reason for why I have such an unwavering love for them, but I do. Hell, I even have a small tattoo of a goofy looking unicorn on my arm!

8. If you could have the same powers as a creature and/or deity from mythology or legends, what would it be? Why?

I would love to become a unicorn. Imagine sprouting glitter and rainbows from every hole while being all sparkly, sounds like magic to me.

9. What is your advice for other writers who want to use mythology in their stories?

Go for it! The words are beneath ur fingertips and you just gotta let them fly. To hell with all the doubt and fear, it shouldn't hold you back because as long as you have an idea (even with how dumb it may sound) You have what it takes!
