What prompted you to become a writer?

There was an assignment in my grade ten high school English class, that really moved me to become a writer. The assignment was to write a story choosing the pictures that our teacher selected for us. It was a twenty minute exercise, expect as I was writing a sense of completeness filled my mind and body. My hand glided on the paper as my mind was living a story like a movie. I was blown away by the experience and since then I haven't stopped writing. 

What inspired you to write your first story and hit the publish button on Wattpad?

Originally, I was looking for a way to publish my books. I couldn't find anywhere to do it without feeling a sense of fear or anxiety; it was also very expensive to publish as well. But then I found Wattpad. As I had written King's Queen already, I knew that the only place I could publish my work and reach a wide group of readers was on Wattpad. With that in mind, I published my first book on Wattpad. 

Where do you find inspiration for your newest stories?

Music gives me the most inspiration. Sometimes I listen to Kpop, country music and old 90's Hindi music. All three of these take me into my world in my head and inspire me to come up with my newest novels.

Share some of your writing tips and tricks (i.e. routines, rituals, exercises). When do you find time to fit writing into your day?

My first tip would be to always plan your book before writing it. I always, for any book that I write, create a chart with all the information on it. So, when I begin any book, I don't get lost as I go. With this chart, it helps me stay focused on the goal and it doesn't let me forget small details. My only ritual is make a cup of coffee, without it, I cannot write at all. I also write every idea I get, good or bad, that doesn't matter. Getting in the habit of writing down stuff helps me stay focused. Writing is my only focus right now, so I have all the time for it. Wattpad has become a career for me.

What are some common themes that appear in your writing?

One common theme is that my characters are definitely not your typical male or female. I present characters that are mature and not toxic at all. I do not like it when characters unnecessarily cause problems for themselves. Romance is a common thread in my work as well. I like to bring together a group of people who will fall in love and share a bond like no other. Family is also a theme that I love dressing in my work. 

What bit of advice would you like to share with aspiring writers? 

Don't give up just because it's hard. I was never a good writer, but with practice and studying, I have proved myself that I am actually really good at writing. I think many get disheartened because there are better writers than them out there. I felt the same way and I got nowhere with my writing. It was only until I pushed myself to study, that I got better. I taught myself to get better at my grammar and writing format, which has worked really well for me to be more confident.

Tell our readers about your experiences on Wattpad. What do you enjoy most about the platform? What would you like to see added to it or changed? 

My experience on Wattpad has been nothing but exceptional. From day one, I found kind readers who supported my work and helped me rise on this platform. What I love about Wattpad is that I can interact with all my readers any time. All of us live in different parts of the world, but we can connect on this site through my books. All my readers share their love for my work to me personally and I love that most of all. For Wattpad to add is that I would like more opportunities for writers to share their work to readers. There isn't anything that I can think of to change. I think Wattpad is handling this website really well.

Who is your favorite Author and why? 

My favourite author on Wattpad is Natasha Ili ( She is currently writing a book called Spring in Hades, which is about Hades and Persephone's love story. I wrote King's Queen which is also about Hades and Persephone. So, we connected through our love for Hades in the Greek Mythology. I read a few others about that mythology, but no one wrote it the way Natasha has. She wrote a beautiful story and her research on the Greek myths is beyond phenomenal. 

If you could meet any Mythological or Legendary person, entity, creature, ect; who would it be and why?

I would love to meet Hades!! He was my first love and the first character that I wrote about in my book King's Queen. He has always been a myth that I was interested in. I also love Hades in the Disney adaptation of Hercules. Ever since that movie, Hades has been the love of my life. I know it sounds weird, but I love him too much to feel ashamed.
