IOUND
I put the book down on my bed and pull the shades to my windows. My room has shadows casting up and down the walls and floor. Shadows. Heh. I step back from the windows and over to the mirror. It reflected the true monster inside me. The black took over now half of the silver that resided on my ears and tail, rather than just the smaller tips. My teeth were sharpened to a point as to which I believed they were able to break bone. My eyes showed a terrifying silver, which was the equivalent to what I knew Aaron's were. Silver was for me. Red was for him.
"You left me," I say aloud, clenching my fists tight as I move my head from the mirror, "You made me this thing..." I turn back to the mirror and let out a sigh. There was nothing I could do. No one I could blame. No one that could help me. Half the danger in me was in control. It had been a good 5 years since I had last seen the sharpness in my teeth or the silver in my eyes. As for the rest of it, no one could help with that. I'm an Ultima Dominant. Containing multiple wolves inside one mind. I need to put the chains on them and forget it. Control them. Control me. "But these are my monsters, and I'll deal with them... My own way." I leave the view of the mirror and book it downstairs to the extra room I had made for all of my music equipment. I stood at the piano, grazing my hands against the keyboard shakingly. Words to a song I had heard years ago, when I dealt with a situation just like this came to mind. I picked up my black headset with a white painted K on each side, and the top that was lined with white music notes. Plugging it into the computer I began singing the tune, pressing my fingers gently along each key.
(PLAY SONG NOW OR DON'T! UP TO YOU!)
I took a breath when I finished the song, turned off my piano and took my headphones off my head. I looked around the room at all the equipment, I had a bit too much for rarely using any of it. I rested my headset down on my piano and reached up to my head, feeling no ears or tail. My teeth were back to normal, and I was able to see the sanity around my house again. Back to normal, forgetting everything around me again and keeping it that way.
"I didn't know you could sing?" A voice says causing me to jump back and stare at them. Zane... "Jumpy now aren't we?"
"Zane, sorry about that..." I reply, "Look just, don't tell anyone. I don't share my voice with people." I kept my head turned from him, but my senses told me he was walking closer towards me.
"I won't," Zane says, surprisingly, to me, from what I've heard. He isn't normally nice... weird. I didn't want to, but I just had to question it.
"Why are you being so nice?" I question, "No offense meant. But by what I hear, you aren't like that."
"I get that a lot, but, I'm trying this new thing called caring, and it starts with your dog and ends with your voice," He tells me and I nod.
"So, where is he?" I say looking around. What makes me shake inside, is Zane starts looking as well.
"He was right next to me." I began freaking out and ran out the door still in a pair of my blue jean shorts and a tank top with the American flag printed to the front of it. What can I say? My house is really well heated. I had no shoes on and my hair had to have been a mess.
"DIEGO!" I shout and run outside my snow covered fence to the sidewalk. I can hear Zane calling me, but I don't listen to him more than my name a few times. Which he says wrong. I close my eyes and run around the block, past Garroth, Laurance and Dante's house, around behind Aphmau's, Katelyn's, and Kawaii~Chan's house and more. I couldn't stop freaking out! Diego has been there for me since I was 6. When I needed help he was there, and now... now I needed to be there for him. Wherever he was. "DIEGO!" I go running off across the street again until my feet give out from under me in the cold air. I drop right on the corner where the roads meet next to the guys' house. I cover my face with my hands and shake my head. This had to be a dream. It had to be.
"Guys!" A voice shouts, "I found her!" I pick my head up slightly and see a blur of who appears to be Dante through the thick air I breathe. "Kya, you alright?" I feel his hand touch my shoulder and then quickly remove itself. "You're freezing!"
"I-I-I need t-t-to find Di-Diego," I breathe as he drops down to my level and drops his coat over my shoulders. His one arm slides across my back while the other one goes under my knees and he picks me up. My head rests against his shoulder as I begin shaking wildly.
"Your dog? He's at our house, I found him last night," Dante says. I don't know what I do, maybe I cried. Maybe not. All I know is I was quickly welcomed inside Dante's house and onto his couch to warm up.
As I sat there warming up, Diego rested his head on my leg, a warm cup of coffee in my hands. I smiled at Diego as he just looked at me. I smiled brighter until Laurance came to my side.
"You warming up Kya?" He asks. I nod and take a small sip of my coffee. "I get you were looking for Diego, but, why would you just charge out in the cold like this?" I sat in silence. Frozen myself and shaking my head.
"Thank you for the help guys. But, I think I'll go home now..." I say setting down my coffee, standing up with Diego and heading to the door, "Dante, for finding him, I owe you. Thanks."
"How about a date Beautiful?" he asks. I turn my head just enough to see him flash a wink, me flashing him a smile and then turning back to the door.
"I owe you, no date," I say and head out the door, "C'mon Diego, let's go home." I shut the door behind me, and walk home, ready for a long hot shower to start this day. Maybe even some Christmas Decorations?
