Y/n's POV

I sat peacefully on the couch watching Steven Universe humming to the opening. It was currently 10:00pm and I was waiting for my lovely girlfriend to return home. My ears perked at the sound of a creak from the door.

"Ah! Jaehee! Your home!"I jump up and tackle her in a embrace.

She smiles slowly wrapping her arms around me and embracing me back. I notice how wet and pale she is and frown in concern.

"Are you alright?"I ask worriedly but she waves her hand dismissively.

"I-I'm fine just had a lot of work"her smile falters.

"Maybe you should go rest"I suggest and she shakes her head.

"No I want to spend more time with you"I look at her in worrisome.

"No you have to rest you look like a ghost!"I exclaim pointing at her pale fragile arm.

"I'm fine-"her eyes widened and her smile falls.

It was like it was in slow motion as her body fell forward lifelessly. My eyes grew wide and I scrambled to catch her. My hands grasped her shoulders making me fall with her.

"Jaehee!! JAEHEE!! Answer me damn it!!"I screamed shaking her madly.

I grabbed my phone and pressed a familiar number. My heart was obnoxiously pounding while rolls of sweat glistened on my face.

"Hello what-"

"PLEASE HELP MY GIRLFRIEND IS HARDLY BREATHING!!"I begged.

"Calm down miss, please tell me your address"I quickly told them and hung up.

After a while they arrived and toke Jaehee and me away to the hospital. My stomach felt sick, I covered my eyes with my hand gasping for air. I had called the others and they said they were on their way right now.

It has been weeks and Jaehee has been in the hospital. I would visit her everyday with new presents and jokes to cheer her up.

Until today.

I had finished wrapping my new present which was a cute teddy bear I had bought the other day. My phone buzzed and my favourite song played. I reach out and grasp it falling backwards. I giggle and press the screen answering it.

"Hello?"I chirp swinging my legs around in the air.

"Hello? Is this Y/n L/n?"I giggle at my own name.

"Mhm!"

"I'm sad to inform you that Jaehee has passed away"my legs stopped moving and so did everything else.

My eyes were wide and started to shake uncontrollably and my finger pressed down harshly on the end call. I sat up slowly, the only sound was of my shaking breath. Finally I let out a scream and tears rolled down my cheeks soaking my hair.

"NO!!!!"

"JAEHEE!!!"
