Saeyoung Choi x Reader - Forbidden Love

Warnings!!! - Slight mentions of death, murder, and suicide. They are not descriptive or graphic, and the story is not sad at all, but they are mentioned. If this bothers you at all, please do not read.

Ever since you found yourself in the secret RFA server, your entire life changed. You met six new people and found yourself with a new non-paying job as a party organizer. You didn't mind, though, as your new friends welcomed you with open arms and made the transition much easier. Had you been forced into a group with anyone else, you're not sure you would've survived.

There was just one problem: even in this group, you couldn't escape problematic love triangles.

Yoosung seemed to fall for you the fastest out of the group, but it didn't feel right. Every time he talked about his feelings, he compared you to his deceased cousin, Rika. You couldn't help but feel that his feelings weren't real, but rather a result of transference. He wanted to feel Rika again, and he would get it from anywhere possible, especially from the new girl that had recently taken over his cousin's old position in the organization that he had never seen or met before. He could imagine you as Rika to his heart's content as long as the situation stayed that way.

The awkwardness you felt around Yoosung did nothing to stop you from developing feelings for the organization's resident hacker. His goofy personality always made you smile, no matter the situation. Even when you found out that there was a bomb in the apartment, you couldn't worry as long as Seven was on it. He made you feel better by supplying the group chat with endless stupid jokes that made you smile and laugh every time.

As much as you wanted to confess your feelings to him, you knew you couldn't. You would break Yoosung's heart if you did, and you were sure that Seven would never even consider dating you after Yoosung claimed you so aggressively. You were too nice to hurt anyone in the group, so you decided you would make yourself uncomfortable for the good of the guys.

When you got to the party, you were greeted with a giddy Yoosung who couldn't contain his excitement.

"Oh my gosh, t-that's MC!" Yoosung stuttered as he saw you, "I can't believe I'm finally meeting her!"

He nearly ran to you, wrapping his arms around you and hugging you to him tightly.

"H-hey, Yoosung," you smiled, returning the hug gingerly, "It's nice to finally meet you without a screen."

He pulled back, a wide smile plastered to his face. "I've imagined this moment thousands of times, but I never thought it'd be this perfect. Although, you don't quite look the way I expected..."

This comment drew the attention of the other RFA members. They had been worried about the sincerity of Yoosung's feelings, and now, he seemed to be confirming their doubts.

"What did you expect her to look like?" Seven asked, a teasing smile playing at his lips, "She looks just like her profile picture."

He winked at you, causing your cheeks to tint pink as your eyes darted away from him. You couldn't help yourself; he was even better in person. Even just being around him was enough to make your heart race.

"I don't know," Yoosung contemplated, "Maybe a little more blonde with a bit longer hair. She's also a little tanner than Rika ever was, and not as soft..."

"Oh my gosh, again with Rika!" Zen exclaimed, throwing his hands wildly into the air, "You can't project Rika onto MC. It's not fair to her!"

"Seriously, Yoosung, this isn't healthy," Jaehee fretted, "You don't love MC. You just want her to replace Rika."

"That's not true! I love MC because she is sweet! It just so happens that she is doing Rika's same job-" Yoosung defended.

"You can't even talk about MC without bringing up Rika," Jumin pointed out, cutting off the younger male.

"Yoosung, are you sure you really like MC?" Seven asked wearily.

"Oh my gosh, you guys are unbelievable! You're just jealous of my relationship with her!" Yoosung spat.

"What relationship? This is the first time you're meeting her and you still can't get Rika out of your head," Zen groaned, rolling his eyes at his friend's immaturity.

"None of you guys understand what I went through with Rika, before or after her death!" Yoosung thundered, "My comments are meant as compliments, and nothing more. Rika was an amazing person, and MC should be honored to be compared to her!"

You couldn't take this anymore. "Look, Yoosung, it is really easy to find people you love in others when they're gone," you sighed, looking at him softly, "but you can't do that because it only makes everything hurt worse. Trust me, I know better than anyone."

Silence fell over the group almost immediately as they mulled over your words, trying to decipher your meaning.

"What are you talking about, love?" Yoosung asked, reaching out to grab your smaller hands in his.

You flinched back, deciding to cross your arms under your chest if you were going to talk about such personal information. "I-I just grew up in a rough area, so I know a thing or two about loss."

"What? You're scaring us, MC," Zen spoke up, his voice much softer than it was during his altercation with Yoosung.

Taking a deep breath, you decided to explain. "I-I just...I grew up in an area where you couldn't get attached to things because you could lose everything in an instant. It was rough and violent, and I lost a lot of people I loved. My dad was shot and killed on his way home for work, and my cousin was attacked in an alley when she came to visit. The worst one of all was my best friend..."

Your voice cracked, and you could feel tears pricking your eyes. You couldn't cry yet, not without telling them the most important one.

"Hey, it's okay," Yoosung's soothing voice rang in your ears as he placed a hand on your shoulders, but it didn't calm you down. You didn't want Yoosung, you wanted Seven, no matter how selfish the thought was.

"My best friend shot and killed himself," you forced out, "so I know what it was like for you guys to lose Rika."

"M-MC, I'm so sorry...We didn't know," Zen stuttered out an apology as you allowed yourself to break down the rest of the way, tears running freely down your cheeks.

"I-it's okay, just..." you sighed, not sure how to ask for what you wanted, "Can I be alone for a second?"

"Of course," Jaehee nodded, "There's a private bathroom at the end of the hallway."

"T-thanks," you nodded before speed walking towards the door, hoping to hold back any more traitorous tears that threatened to fall before you reached the bathroom. You could tell Yoosung was offended that you didn't run to him for comfort, but you just couldn't do it. Not when you wanted Seven to wrap his arms around you and make everything better.

Thankfully, when you got to the bathroom, you noticed a small bench along the wall. You sighed, plopping down onto the seat as you cried, burying your face into your hands as you hoped to contain your ugly tears as much as possible.

Seven, however, couldn't stand the fact that you just ran away from the group. Today was supposed to be a happy reunion for everyone, and the person he worried about the most was in the bathroom crying. He thought for sure that you wouldn't be able to wipe the smile off of your face after meeting Yoosung, but instead, you seemed to be uncomfortable.

Due to Yoosung's obvious feelings for you, Seven never allowed himself to indulge in the idea of loving you. He couldn't hurt Yoosung like that, but that didn't stop him from growing more and more invested in you as time went on. Even the threats from the agency couldn't stop him from involving himself with you every time he got a chance.

After seeing your shaky encounter with Yoosung, Seven felt rejuvenated, a spark of hope igniting in his chance. Maybe he really had a chance to be with you, but he would never find out if you spent the entire party locked in that bathroom by yourself.

Instinctively, Seven rushed off after your quickly-retreating figure. He tuned out the sound of his friends calling after him, his focus set solely on you and your well-being.

You hadn't had much time to yourself in the bathroom before you heard a soft knocking at the door.

The door didn't have a lock, so before you could respond, the door was slowly inching open, revealing the handsome face of Secret Agent 707.

You hid your face in your hands almost immediately, hoping to conceal your tears from the one person you didn't want to see. While his comfort was desired, you hated the idea of him seeing you while you were so weak.

"H-hey, MC," Seven spoke softly, hesitantly breaking the tense silence that surrounded you like a thick haze, "How are you feeling?"

You sniffled, wiping your tears on the back of your hand before speaking. "I-I'm okay. I'm sorry, I don't know why I'm crying right now. It doesn't look good for us if the guest coordinator is crying in the bathroom-"

"Hey, don't worry about that," Seven reassured you as he plopped into the seat next to you, "You only need to worry about feeling better."

"Honestly, I don't even know why I'm crying," you hiccuped, cringing at the embarrassing noise, "He died so long ago. It shouldn't bother me like this."

"You're crying because you lost people that were very important to you," Seven spoke evenly, a soft hand rising gingerly to your back, "That's going to hurt no matter how much time passes."

Before you could register what was happening, Seven's arms wrapped around you, pulling you into his warm body, a woodsy scent sneaking into your senses. You couldn't tell if it was cedar, pine, or evergreen, but the longer you sat there, the more you wanted to find out for certain.

Slowly, you melted into his embrace, your sobs slowly dying as your breathing evened out. You gripped him tightly, fearing that he would disappear if you let go.

    But this was wrong.

The realization hit you like a ton of bricks. Before you could even fully comprehend what you were doing, you pushed yourself off of him, retreating to the opposite side of the room.

Your heart nearly broke when you looked up and saw the pained expression etched onto Seven's face.

"W-what's wrong? Did I overstep or something?" Seven asked, his voice dripping with concern.

"N-no, you're fine, it's nothing-" you began, but you couldn't finish.

"Then what's the problem?" Seven thundered, the sting of rejection making him angry, "Why can't you let me comfort you?"

You were never one to back down from a fight. "Because I'm not supposed to like you but I do!"

"W-what?" Seven stuttered, his eyes softening almost immediately.

"I-I like you, Seven!" you admitted, fighting through your discomfort as your cheeks darkened to match his red hair, "But we both know I can't. I'm supposed to be with Yoosung, not you, but I just can't help it because you're just so perfect-"

It all happened so fast. Before either of you knew what was happening, Seven bounded over to you, slamming his lips to your own as he pushed you against the wall. You didn't have to think about it; you reacted just as enthusiastically, just as quickly.

The two of you remained together until you couldn't reject the need to breathe any longer. When Seven pulled away, you missed the feeling of his lips on yours, causing you to lean forward in a desperate chase for that addictive feeling. However, the burning of your lungs brought you back to reality, forcing you to open your eyes and realize what had happened.

    You just kissed Seven.

"I-I..." Seven mumbled, not sure how to continue.

"Yeah..." you breathed, trying to find the right words for the situation.

"I'm sorry, I didn't mean to..." Seven began to apologize, but his mouth seemed disconnected from his brain.

"N-no, I liked it..." you admitted, choosing to look down at the floor, "...a lot, actually."

Seven lit up like a Christmas tree almost immediately. He had imagined this moment thousands of times, but never could he have hoped it would be as amazing as it was in reality. Thinking that you actually returned his feelings was euphoric in its own right.

"Really?" he enthused, his eyes shimmering with giddiness, "That's amazing!"

You giggled at his excitement. "Shut up, idiot."

"Nope, you already admitted it! No takebacks!" he taunted, raising a single finger to boop you on the nose.

As much as you wanted to enjoy his teasy nature, you knew you couldn't ignore the elephant in the room.

"Seven..." you sighed, "What do we do about Yoosung?"

"Do you actually have feelings for him...?" Seven asked nervously, seemingly afraid of your answer.

"Honestly...? No..." you shook your head, your voice quiet as you revealed the one thing you promised you would never speak aloud.

"...You know he doesn't actually like you either, right?" Seven reiterated as he reached for your hands, "He thinks your Rika."

"I know," you nodded, "but I'm not Rika."

"He needs to understand that," Seven admonished, "and he should know that you actually like me."

"But it'll break him," you whined. You always hated confrontation, especially when you knew it would hurt someone's feelings.

"The longer we hide this from him, the more it'll hurt when he finds out," Seven reminded you, "You know we can't keep this a secret forever."

He was right. Now that you had a taste of the glorious redhead, you knew you wouldn't be able to stay away from him. You couldn't ignore the fireworks that sparked in your stomach the second his lips touched yours. You would never be able to get enough, and you definitely wouldn't be able to stay away.

"You're right..." you conceded, a sigh of defeat leaving your lungs, "but what do we do?"

"We have to tell him," Seven exclaimed, "It's the right thing to do."

"Why does the right thing have to be so hard?" you groaned, earning a slight chuckle from the older male.

"It'll all be worth it when we're done," Seven reminded you, a small smirk tugging at his lips, "I mean, I'll have you all to myself."

You giggled at what he was insinuating. "Let's get this over with, then."

As Seven led you back to the party, your feet turned to lead. You couldn't believe you were really about to break a fragile kid's heart. Your stomach twisted and turned, urging you to turn around and forget your confession. The only thing keeping you there was Seven's firm hand that rested softly on your lower back.

"Yoosung," Seven called to the younger blonde, "We need to talk to you."

You took a deep breath, focusing solely on not throwing up in front of everyone.

"Hold on, me first," Yoosung interjected, turning his full attention to you, "MC, the group made me realize something while you were in the bathroom. My feelings really are just a manifestation of my hurt surrounding Rika's death. It's hard to cope with, but I know you're not really her. I can't be with you when I know deep down that this is wrong. I'm so sorry to lead you on like this."

As difficult as it was, you had to fight the smile off of your face. Apparently telling him about Seven wasn't going to be as difficult as you thought it would be.

"It's okay, Yoosung, really," you nodded sadly, "I kind of expected this."

"Still, I'm sorry," Yoosung sighed, his eyes falling to the ground, "A gentleman doesn't treat women like this. It wasn't fair of me at all."

"Really, it's fine, Yoosung," you smiled, sharing a side glance with Seven, "I promise, I will be okay."

"Okay..." Yoosung nodded, trying to convince himself with your words, "I just hope you find it in you to enjoy the rest of the party."

With that, Yoosung walked away, his head drooping as he tried to ignore his guilty conscience.

You turned so that you could fully enjoy Seven's proud smirk, the two of you realizing that there was now nothing stopping you from being together.

    "Oh don't worry, I will."

I know I've mostly been writing for Seven recently, but he's my favorite! If you want to see stories with any of the other characters, leave a request in the comment! I will write for pretty much any of the other characters.
