   The countdown. From the second a shout was heard that there was a minute left in the year, the room quieted. Staring at the television, Seven started counting down at forty-five. Yoosung joined in at thirty. You joined at twenty, along with Zen. Jaehee joined in at fifteen. Saeran and Jumin started at ten. By one, everyone was screaming. "Happy New Year!" Everyone cheered, hugging and laughing.

   That was about an hour ago. Now it was calmer, with only you and (C/N) still in the living room. Watching the TV and the pop singers performing for those time zones that hadn't yet celebrated New Years. As you two watched everyone else celebrate, you moved closer to each other. Close enough to cuddle, you leaned into (C/N). They put their arms around you and watched as there were five minutes before another midnight, and another time zone's celebration. The clock ticked down, and you smiled as the announcers started counting down from twenty. As they reached one, (C/N) pulled you in for a gentle kiss.

  "Since I didn't do it for our midnight, and our New Year," they explained. You smiled and kissed them again. Breaking apart, you cuddled into them, continuing to watch the singers and fireworks, awaiting yet another New Year. Smiling slightly, you fall asleep just before the third New Year. As (C/N) counted down quietly once again, you widened your smile slightly.

   "Happy New Year (Y/N)," they whispered as they kissed your forehead.
