After going through many of the Mystic Messenger books on Wattpad, I've noticed that nobody loves Jaehee and no one had made a one shot for her so...

It had been a long day at the office, but what’s new? When she signed that contract with Jumin Han, director of the C & R Company, she wasn’t expecting to gain anything else out of it. She never really got a day off, she never really got thanked, she wasn’t ever asked if she needed a break.
… However it would be strange if Mr. Han was concerned about her wellbeing all of a sudden. So when he told her she could have the rest of the evening off, she was surprised.
“I-I’m sorry?”
“I said you can have the rest of the evening off.” He repeated himself.
“But why?” Jaehee asked. Jumin gave a sigh, rubbing his temples.
“Assistant Kang, I gave you the rest of the evening off, do not question me before I change my mind and give you another cat project to work on.” That made Jaehee straighten and with a curt nod, she turned on her heels and stalked out of his office.
Jumin gave a small smile.
[Jumin Han entered the chat room]
Jumin Han: Assistant Kang will be our of the office for the rest of the evening, so if you need me, you will have to reach me at my office.

An evening off… an evening off! Jaehee always imagined what she would do with a day or even a couple hours off, but when it came down to it, she had no idea what to do.
Should she get groceries? Should she get that mani-pedi she had been wanting? Or should she go get those shoes she told herself she was going to buy?
“What to do, what to do?” Jaehee sighed, fixing her glasses on the bridge of her nose. She glanced at her watched and looked at the time. “Might as well pick up the dry cleaning and stop by for some takeout.” She didn’t feel like cleaning or cooking.
What was the point of buying groceries when she wasn’t going to be able to use them for the rest of the week? She could get her mani-pedi, but it probably wouldn’t last long and the acrylic nails got annoying aver a while.
“Thank you.” She smiled as the cleaners gave her the clothes. She never brought her clothes to the dry cleaners but when she ran out of lint rollers and there was still cat hair on it, she decided to add her clothes to the suits Mr. Han had given her to take to the cleaners.
“Jaehee! You’re out early today!” The cook at the takeout restaurant down the street from her apartment welcomed her.
“Yes, it seems like Mr. Han let me have the evening off.” She smiled.
“How nice! The usual?” The man asked and she nodded. They fixed up her food and she paid, making her way home.
It was like… any regular day? Except this time, she was getting out at a decent hour. Maybe after she ate, she was going to go to bed.
When was the last time she got proper sleep? Anything beginning with the word ‘proper’ was nearly impossible for her. Proper was a word that belong to Jumin Han’s dictionary and she desperately wished that it could be in hers too.
“I couldn’t even say a ‘thank you’ to Mr. Han..” She let out another sigh as she looked for the key for her apartment. “Then again, he probably would have dismissed me.” She unlocked the door and pushed it open with a heel, before reaching to turn a light on. As she flipped the switch, the room lit up and pops surprised her.
“Surprise!” Startled by the yelling and the sudden party poppers, Jaehee dropped the dry cleaning and stood with her jaw dropped.
“Hey, that just got cleaned-“ Celine patted Jumin’s shoulder playfully and stepped out towards Jaehee, picking up the dry cleaning.
“Happy birthday sweetie!” Celine stood on her toes and placed a kiss on Jaehee’s cheek, prompting a blush from her.
“W-What is this?” Jaehee asked.
“It’s your birthday, silly!” Luciel came forward as well, taking the box of takeout out of Jaehee’s hand.
“You didn’t think we’ve forgotten about it, Jaehee.” Yoosung and Celine wrapped their arms around Jaehee, bringing her to the dining table that had a cake with a candle and an assortment of wrapped presents.
“Mr. Han?” Jaehee was more than surprised to find her own boss in her apartment, along with everyone else from the RFA.
“Despite the amount of work we could have gotten done today, Celine talked me into giving you the day off.” Everyone could hear Celine’s aggrivated sigh from the kitchen.
“Don’t you have something to say to Jaehee, Jumin?” Zen crossed his arms, looking at Jumin expectantly.
“Oh yes.” Jumin turned to Jaehee. “I want to thank you for all the hard work you’ve done. I know I don’t say this often, so be sure you’re listening carefully.” Zen let out an annoyed sighed and rubbed the bridge of his nose.
“What did you expect, it’s Jumin.” Luciel added with a chuckle.
“I know I don’t say it often but I appreciate everything you do for me. You are a hard worker and I admire that.” There was pure silence.
“Wow, so the jerked can be grateful.” Zen whispered to Yoosung and Celine elbowed him.
“And?” Celine added.
“And,” Jumin gave a small exhale, annoyed by all of everyone’s harassing. “I would have given you Elizabeth the 3rd for a day, so you could play with such a majestic creature, but Celine said no.” Jaehee gave a light chuckle, glancing over at Celine.
“Thank you for that.” Celine smiled before stepping forward and coming behind Jaehee to light the candle.
“Of course.” She spoke softly, almost like a whisper. “Time to blow out the candle!” She smiled and straightened, cueing everyone to start singing. At the end, Jaehee blew her candle and smiled.
“I had actually forgotten about my birthday.” Jaehee admitted.
“We know.” Of course Jumin would know.
“Celine actually planned all of this for you.” Yoosung said and Jaehee looked over shoulder.
“You shouldn’t have.” Celine rolled her eyes.
“I shouldn’t have, but I wanted to, so I did.” She wrapped her arms around Jaehee’s neck and leaned into her back. “It’s another year I get to spend with you.” Celine kissed the corner of Jaehee’s lips.
“Now, before you start getting all lovey dovey, can we cut the cake? I'm dying for some cake!” Luciel interrupted. Jaehee chuckled and motioned Celine to go.
“I’ve made dinner that you’re going to eat first, then you can eat cake.” Celine rubbed Jaehee’s shoulders roughly, but it was very soothing to Jaehee. “I’ve also got a surprised planned after the party.” The whisper was quiet and the tone was seductive and Jaehee had to clear her throat quietly to stop herself from blushing.
“Thank you for everything, Celine.” Celine straightened, putting a finger to Jaehee’s lips.
“Enough thanking me and enjoy your birthday party. You can thank me later.” Celine winked and went to get the knife to cut the cake.
Of all the birthdays that Jaehee has had, this was probably the best one she’s ever had.
