Yeah, I know, I'm a month and a handful of days late, but I want to at least provide this to those who haven't had the opportunity to get a chance to play the April Fool's DLC! (I literally did my first place through today).

A long time ago in a galaxy far, far away....

Episode 401 April Fool's Day

[MC] downloads an app out of curiosity...

She ends up talking to someone by the name of Unknown by accident, and heads to an apartment to help him find the pone's owner

The minute she enters the apartment, she's signed into a group chat room...

Jumin Han, Zen, Yoosung, 707 and Jaehee Kang are flustered at [MC]'s sudden appearance and put up their guards

But upon realizing that she's not an intruder, they introduce themselves as members of the RFA and ask [MC] to join as their party guest coordinator.

[MC], the new party coordinator, helps the group as they organize a charity party...

And Aprils 1st comes around...

The only day of the year when lying is allowed

At the same time, it's also a very special day for someone...

What could happen in this one day...?

A mystic air envelopes the messenger...

Alright! So that's the prologue to the April's Fool DLC! It's got that Star Wars scrolling word thingy going on, so that's pretty cool. And all the music is kind of an 8-bit (really cute, imo). 

April 1st, the day where everyone can tell lies and play pranks (whether innocent ones or really, harsh, tasteless ones). But! That's not all this day is for! April 1st, is Zenny Zen Zen's birthday! The game starts off with Zen complaining that nobody takes him seriously when he tells others his birthday, or how everyone would rather play a prank on him than genuinely celebrate his birthday. 

The new DLC includes one day worth of chats, new pictures (really hi-def pictures yall), new (8-bit) background music, three endings and voice calls! 

SO, how about we start with some profiles? 

Nobody really changed their picture throughout the gameplay, except for Yoosung (who went from two eggs to an omelette) and Zen (who went from his selfie to a plaster bust of some greek dude ((who is supposed to be him))). 

The gameplay is pretty normal, except for some weird conversations. Luciel says that his present for Zen was 1 ton of cardboard boxes. Yoosung said that he would cook for Zen. Last year, Jumin gave Zen Mr. Chairman's 12 volume autobiography of how to be successful in life. According to Jumin, since Zen lacks the intelligence, went with high end cereal (which ends up being cat food!). Surprisingly, Jaehee said happy birthday, but said that she wouldn't be able to get anything for him, since she was busy at work with everyone else's pranks and with a fever of 140 (that's not a typo!).

It took me a couple hours to figure this out, but as it turns out, everyone's display picture symbolizes what each person actually is. Yoosung was an egg, but became an omelette. Luciel is a paper man who is the Ambassador of Cardboard. Jumin is a cat and Elizabeth is a human. Jaehee is an electric kettle that occasionally gets disconnected. 

You're given the option to play along with everyone else's shenanigans or defend Zen and I went to defending/romancing Zen (THAT'S A FIRST, I BETRAYED JUMIN). It was a bunch of confusion, with other's sharing pictures, that are actual pictures of real life things, and Zen asking MC if he was going crazy or whatnot. Also, there's a "bug" where Zen isn't able to log out of the messenger.

Eventually, Yoosung invites Zen over to eat the omelette he made around early noon. So, Zen heads over to Yoosung's place, stopping by a convenience store for ketchup (shout out to Krogers, a southern-ish grocery store in America, who was given a reference). When Zen gets to Yoosung's place, he knocks on the door and Yoosung tells him to come in because he's fixing his hair. Zen goes in and he doesn't see Yoosung anywhere, and Zen calls out to Yoosung. Yoosung says he's right in front of him, but at this point, I'm starting to believe his hiding somewhere. 

TURNS OUT: there was an omelette on the desk and that omelette happened to be Yoosung.

Well, this leads to more shenanigans. Breaking news: Jumin partakes in recreational drugs and is high as shit.

Zen starts to believe that this is one big dream and Yoosung tells Zen that if he wants to be like them, he has to change. Yoosung says that Zen is a smart guy and that if he looks in the mirror, he will find who he truly is.

Next chat, Zen pretends to be that plaster bust and Yoosung is like,,, you should seek medical help. And that joining them requires Zen to be in a different dimension or some thing like that and at this point, Zen is utterly convinced that it is a dream and that hum and MC are the only normal people around.

Also, Unknown makes an appearance and there is casual wall-breaks, no biggie. 

After the chat with Unknown, Zen says that he's going to sleep bc he's stressed about this dream and he read somewhere that in order to stop a dream, you have to dream?? So bedtime.

9 pm and Luciel has changed to a picture of him, saying that the server is going under maintenance and that the "dream has ended" and the "curse has been lifted"; the curse being Zen not being able to log out of the messenger.

At this point, Lucile starts to say some really cheesy stuff that got me kinda teary eyed,,,

I kinda felt like this was a... self-awareness kinda thing, it kinda tripped me out but it was really sweet, in all honesty.

The chat finishes and there's silence until 11 pm. At this point I'm like??? It's 11:30 pm and the game says only one day of chats and I'm still on 90% day completion??

Speak of the devil, the final chat appears and everyone is in their usual pictures and making a fuss. "Where is Zen? Where is MC??" Apparently, they were trying to contact us, but they couldn't reach us. And that they organized a party to celebrate Zen's birthday, but he hadn't been seen all day.

It was as if nothing happened and Jumin decides to have the party moved to Zen's place (despite whining how tiny it was). MC goes to Zen's place as well and they all celebrate the party, and tah dah, that's the good ending!

I may try again, aiming for the other two endings, since they're only a day long, but we shall see.

Also, from my past update, I was playing the common deep route and I tried to get the bad end for Jumin (yknow, the one with the kinky ribbons) and I FAILED. I got the day 10 bad end where eventually MC does go home but when she gets inside, Unknown is there and ends up blowing the apartment up. Fuck me right lol
