The girls awoke when the sun began to shine into the room, Emily looked around and sighed. "Alright, so do we split up and talk to locals or a new plan?" She asked, "Usually you come up with the plans. What do you think?" Abi asked, "No, no no. I don't like being left with making decisions, i just happen to make good plans." Emily said uncomfortably. "We need to figure out who has the real dagger, because as Emily said, that wasn't the real one." Said Candy.

Zoe, who was reading a spell book, looked up and gasped. "What?" Asked Candy. "Your gonna think i'm nuts, but, i think i know how we can find the person who stole the artifacts!" She exclaimed. "Maybe whoever stole them has the dagger! Considering we didn't find the real one at the Orc kingdom." Emily stated. "What's your plan, Zoe?" Abi asked. "Well, i've been reading up on this spell, and i think i can do it. What if we went back in time, found out who stole the artifacts, and take 'em down!?" She said, "Can you preform the spell?" Abi asked. 

"I'm like, 99% sure i can!" Zoe said, and rubbed the back of her neck. "Hold on a damn minute! Time travel? Is that really even possible?" Candy asked, a bit skeptical. "Seriously? I killed a dragon, Zoe murdered over fifty Orcs, and Abi nearly broke the earth in half, and your asking if time travel is possible?" Emily asked her skeptical friend. "Well, i just don't wanna get my hopes up if she can't preform the spell." Said Candy.  "I can do it, i'm sure!" Zoe butted in. 

"What if we don't find who did it?" Abi asked, sadly. Emily placed a hand on her shoulder, "We will find who stole the Artifacts, we will get them back to the school, and whoever stole them will either rot in a dungeon, or die by my blade!" Emily reassured her. Abi nodded, Zoe stood up, and walked to the others. "Ready?" She asked nervously. "As we'll ever be..." Candy replied. Zoe cleared her mind of everything, her eyes went white, and she held all her friends close, they closed their eyes. ~

When they opened their eyes, they were almost see through, and in the main hall of Mystic High. "Let's get to the hall of the Founders!" Emily yelled. "Wait!" Shouted Zoe, They stopped and looked back, "We have a limited time here.." She warned, "How long?" Candy asked, "About an hour?" She said, unsure herself. "Then let's hurry the hell up!" Emily yelled and began running.

They stopped when they saw themselves running to class "Don't worry, they can't see us." Zoe stated. "Wow, i really do dress like a bum.." Emily said as she watched her past self walk away. Candy hit her on the back of her head, and they kept running. They saw two of the teachers talking in the hall, It was Miss.Samantha, and Mr.Novak. They listened to their conversation about the girls for a moment. 

"They are much more advanced then most of the others, in a special way though." Said, Miss.Samantha. "Their good kids, usually late, but i agree. Their powers are different then the others." Replied, Mr.Novak. Emily smiled, and they continued their journey to the hall. Once they arrived there, the Artifacts were still in place. "It must've happened while we were in class." Said Abi, "Where are the guards?" Candy asked. Emily took a walk, and saw no guards stationed at the most important place. 

"Bet they were either sleepin' or raiding the donut box!" Emily stated as she returned to her friends. They laughed, "They can be kinda dumb sometimes, and not pay attention." Candy said. "I once pick pocketed a few bucks from one, and then bought coffee." Said Emily. Zoe walked over to the portraits of the founders, "They were all siblings, right?" Asked Abi, Zoe nodded, "Yeah, Rashell was the oldest, then Arthur, and Mina and Joshua were twins." She said.

"Guys, if we do find out who stole the Artifacts, what to we do to him? Kill him, or take him in alive? What he doesn't have the dagger? What if we don't return with them in time?" Emily asked, overwhelming herself. "Don't worry, Em. We'll burn that bridge when we get there, and we will get the dagger." Zoe reassured her friend. "Don't worry yourself so much." Abi said, "I have to! I feel like...i'm responsible for you guys. If something were to happen to any of you, i'd never forgive myself, i feel like it's my job to keep you all safe, and if i die trying then so be it." Emily said, now feeling awkward having opened up to them like that.

Zoe was about to say something, they a hooded figure snuck in through the back door of the Artifact room. "Look!" Candy yelled, The figure seemed male, had the body shape. He used magic to break the glass, and swiped up all the Artifacts, he rushed out and made his way down the hall, avoiding the dim-witted guards. He stopped upon reaching the Principals office, he opened the door, and walked in. 

He took off his hood, and it was Principal Ray! "What!? No." Candy yelled, "That's impossible, he seemed like such a nice man!" Abi exclaimed, "Well, obviously, looks are deceiving." Emily said with clenched fists. Everything started going blurry, and it all started fading. "What's happening?!" Candy asked, turning to Zoe. "Our times up!" She yelled. Before they left, they saw another cloaked figure, it all faded and then they were in the Principals office? They saw the Principal and the cloaked figure, who was behind the desk. 

It all went dark, and they were back in the present. Zoe got up, and helped the others off the ground, "What was that last thing? Was that the past yet?" She asked, "I-..i don't think so? I can't be sure." Zoe shrugged. "So...the Principal betrayed the school, and he stole the Artifacts?" Abi asked, seeming very upset. "It seems that way, huh?" Candy said. "Something doesn't seem right, he always seemed so...good." Abi stated. 

"Can't always trust people who look nice, evil can disguise it's self in many ways." Emily said, and kicked a chair into the wall. "We have to go, now! If we don't get back to Mystic High, then he could hide or destroy the dagger, we need to get him, and destroy him." Said Emily. "Whoa, destroy him? Seems a little extreme doesn't it, Em?" Candy asked. "He betrayed the school! Stole the artifacts, and who knows what else! The school could be burned to the ground for all we know. The sooner we get back, the better!" She said.

"We should let Zoe rest." Stated Abi. "I-i'm fine.." She said, then collapsed. "Zoe!?" They yelled, and picked her up, and set her on a bed. "Abi, see if you can whip something up for her. Candy, mind cooking up some food?" Emily asked, Candy nodded. Emily went away from the others, and sat in the courtyard of the Inn. She looked out at the water, mind going a million miles per hour. "What was all that?" She asked herself.

She unsheathed the sword of Arthur Mystic, and looked it up and down. "Was he just trying to get rid of us, so he could unleash something worse? Why would he send us to retrieve these artifacts, and not the dagger?" She asked, no answer but the wind. "Did he really think we couldn't do it?" 

She put the sword away and went back inside, seeing Zoe still out like a light, and Candy cooking canned beans. She sighed, and sat down on her bed, and began to write:

"If someone doesn't believe in you, work harder to prove to them you can. Don't let anyone drag you down, and feel worthless. If you keep fighting, and believe in yourself, almost anything is possible. And if you have other people with the same problem as you, help each other overcome your fears, insecurities, and work together to accomplish the unimaginable. Don't ever quit, keep moving forward, always keep fighting, it always gets better. No matter how dark and bad things seem, there are people who will be your beacons of light in those times, and if you can be someone's beacon, don't burn out. Don't let them down."

She put her book back in her bag, and ate what Candy had set on the table beside her. "We leave at dawn, we'll carry Zoe if we have to.." She stated, and covered up. "Good night, Emily." Abi said, "G'night, Candy, Abi. Night Zoe.." She whispered and fell into a deep slumber.

~Though the path seems rough, keep walking. That path will soon soften.~
