I Glance at my watch for the eighth time in the past half hour, "He should have arrived by now"-I muttered releasing a sigh.

"Sorry, I am so late" -He said rushing toward the table with an apologetic smile, before taking a seat next to me. "It's Okay"-I said with a smile, but my mind couldn't help but wonder-

"Huh, Am I late?"-I thought looking at my watch worriedly.

5:54 - No, I am not late, I am 6 minutes early - I thought looking toward the table on which Allan was sitting tapping his fingers on the wood almost nervously.

"Hi"-I said approaching him, my voice although soft but with an undertone of nervousness, because yeah! I am nervous.

"I hope it was not a bother to come here"-he said standing up from his chair and presenting a red rose in front of me.

I softly grabbed its stem, its fragrance was already reaching me proving that this was a freshly picked one.

So he not only came early but also bought a Rose with him even when knowing I would probably not come.

"Thanks"-I said putting the rose on the table with a smile.

He held the chair out for me to sit. "It's the bare minimum I can do," he said with a charming smile. I couldn't help but feel a blush creep up my cheeks as I sat down, feeling grateful for his chivalry. He pushed my chair in and took his seat across from me, his handsome smile making my heart skip a beat. It was a small gesture, but it meant the world to me.

"-you want to order?"

"Huh?"-His voice snaps me out of my thoughts as I look toward Nicholas confused, what was he saying?

"What do you want to order?"-He said looking at me with his expression confused, that's when I realized that the waiter was standing there, and I was in my mind dwelling on the past.

"A New Year special combo"-I said glancing at the menu. The waiter nodded once again repeating the order before going away.

"Like no offense, but aren't you concerned about your weight-most girls are?"-Nicholas's voice rings in my ears as I look toward him confused, what does he mean? His next words make it quite clear-"I mean the New Year combo contains quite a lot of calories."

"Only this much!"-Allan said his expression perplexed and voice loud as his eyes was trailed toward my plate.

"Jeez, Calm down."-I said rubbing my ears, he can be quite loud when he wants to.

My eyes widen as I see him putting more food on my plate, oh my gosh what is he doing? It already contains too many calories!

"Hey, wait What are you doing? It is too much"- I said trying to grasp my plate but stop mid-way seeing his glare.

"If you will not eat, how are you going to be healthy?"-He mutters putting the plate which is now stuffed with calories, in front of me.

"It will increase my weight"-I said solemnly, my fork playing with the food in front of me.

He scoffed "Increase your weight, I doubt that will happen. You are as light as a feather-One day a strong wind will blow and blow you away too"- he said with a 'don't-you-dare-argue-with-me' tone. "So, eat all of this now."-He said like-ordered.

"Hmm"-I mutters eating the food and smiling, he was the first person who saw how I was starving myself.

"No, I am not"- I said putting the menu away from me. I can't believe it, I promised Indigo that, I would give Nicholas a chance-I would forget about him but here I am, comparing everything with him.

"I see."-Nicholas said nodding his head before his eyes met mine with a soft smile.

"You are looking beautiful by the way"-He said leaning on the table and staring into my eyes.

"Thanks"-I said with a smile. "You look good, too"-I compliment him back, and I have to admit it is truth-he is one of the most handsome person in our workplace not more than h-

Stop it! Stop it! Ayla. Stop comparing everyone with him!

"If you don't mind, I notice you wear these earrings every day. Any special reason?''-He asked his voice curious as he tilted his head.

"Allan"-I whines holding his hand as he holds me by my waist, guiding me through the steps.

"Yeah, yeah just wait for some seconds"-He said stopping and moving some steps back. "You can take it off now."-He finally said as I removed that blindfold turning around ready to scold him.

"Finally, you k-Oh my!"-My words fall short, He was holding a box with two beautiful blue crystals inside it. My eyes dart toward the small sticky note on the side 'One year passed by, and I wish you would allow me to be with you for a thousand more."

"You remember?"- I said teary-eyed. It was not our anniversary but the anniversary of our first date, even I remember it now after seeing these earrings-the very same, I wanted to buy that day, but they were out of stock.

"Of course, I do"-He said smiling.

"These are just... special."-I said feeling a lump forming in my throat, it's so damn difficult to not think about those memories now.

"Oh, well they suit you."-He said, leaving the question probably by sensing my mood.

The awkward silence was soon replaced by the exchange of our interests and small talk, time soon passed by with him narrating a funny incident of the morning. And soon our dinners were served, I took a bite with the flavors exploding in my taste buds-this place always makes awesome food.

"Wanna, take a walk?"-He offered his hand after paying the bills with a smile hooked on his lips.

"Sure"-I said slipping my hands in his anything to make this time worth it.

"Winter is my favorite"-He said looking at the road stacked with snow and the pine tree.

"Mine too, the way the snowflakes fall, the cool sensation, everything"- I said glancing toward the frozen lake, the bridge where we find ourselves after walking- was built on top of the frozen lake Baikal. It is a popular spot for photoshoots in winter and it is really beautiful indeed.

"Right"-He said grasping my hand tightly and leading me some steps ahead, 

We stood by each other side for some time, gazing at the scenery as the New Year countdown started.

"Nico"- The words left my mouth as I looked toward him surprised, he turned me around caging me between his hands and the bridge rail.

"You look even more beautiful in this dazzling sky"-He said huskily, his eyes looking at me while he leaned in.

I hesitated for a moment before closing my eyes too-maybe this will help- maybe this way I will stop my feelings for him.

"I love you" -He mutters softly kissing my forehead while I lay my head on his chest in his warm embrace.

"I love you more than you think."-I said snuggling into him.

His hand slid around my waist holding me close, as he also closed his eyes.

"T-This is a joke."-I said shaking my head this can't be lying!

"Ayla, no this is not a joke, I-"-He said his expression defeated-no no He can't do this.

"Why?, Don't you love me anymore."- I barely choked out, my eyes filled with tears, he was thinking of breaking us just like that. Please let this be a joke.

"I do, I do."-He said holding me by my shoulder-his warm touch that right now feel like it's burning me.

"But Ayla, I don't know for how much time I will be gone, I don't want you to ruin your time for me-"-He continued cupping my cheeks and looking into my eyes, his eyes were also tear-stricken but I care less about that right now.

"I will wait, please, I will wait for years but please-please just don't break this.''-I said my voice desperate and pleading while I held his hands in mine looking toward him pleading.

"I can't keep you hurting."-He mutters releasing my hand and taking a step back-i never thought it would feel like someone stabbed me.

"This is the goodbye"-He said before closing the door and walking out.

I can feel his hot breath on my cheeks and his lips tantalizing close to mine, while the sky was adorned with fireworks-beautiful and serene.

"If our love is strong enough, we will meet again."- A message popped up on my phone as I held it sniffling, my room was a mess and so was I, but the message gave me hope even if it was small.

"I am sorry, I can't do this."-I said holding my hands on his lips that were just a inch away from mine, my eyes closed and teary.

I can feel his confusion as I step back and- I don't blame him, it was my fault, I waste his time and lead him just for my own selfish sake.

"I am Sorry- I waste your time just for my sake-I am sorry... Don't follow me, please."- I said before I took on a runaway from there, near the park my only solace.

"It was so easy for you, wasn't it?"- I mutters to myself leaning on the railings and wiping my eyes.

It was stupid of me to think that I could go on a date, and I will forget him just like that.

"Please come back, just for a second but please. Tell me our love was strong enough."-I said tears rolling from my eyes.

I wish, I wish so badly that, I can hold him close again and tell him that our love was strong enough all that just seems like a dream right now-

"Ayla"-A voice reaches my ears, a voice I know so well.

"A-Allan"-I said swiftly turning around, I wiped my eyes to get my vision clear- is he here?

He was here, standing in front of me, a blue suitcase in his hands while his breath was heavy indicating that he was running. He was still the same-brown hair falling over his eyes, his pale complexion glowing in the moonlight.

"Indigo told me you were her-mmph"-I cut him off by grabbing his collar and pulling him in for a kiss, his lips against mine-I am afraid he will tell me that he is now with someone else after he started his business in foreign. So, just this one last time.

"I missed you."-I said breaking away from the kiss, looking down while my grip was still on his collar.

"Our love was strong enough"-He whispered his hand gently grabbing my chin to make eye contact with his eyes that still held the same adoration for me.

His eyes briefly glance at my lips, before looking back and asking for consent "Of course." I whisper as he slowly leans in, both of our eyes closing while he holds me close by my waist. Our lips connected in a sweet, loving kiss under the moonlight, and I don't know about the sky but inside me, the fireworks were exploding.
