Shannon's time in primary school had been great, for the most part, she and Alfie had made a new friend Madeleine, who was as curious as Shannon herself, but about other things like math and geometry. She tried to avoid Harry Potter, after everyone didn't believe her when she said she saw him dissappear, not even her parents, strange things kept happening around him and Shannon kept writing them down as if it was a great mystery like the ones in the tv shows she liked to watch and the books she likes to read.

But that summer day she was going to the zoo with her friends. Growing up with a naturalist father had given Shannon a deep love for animals, except for snakes those freaked her out still for some reason, much to her father's efforts to persuade her that they were just living creatures. Shannon prefered birds, even insects which her mother hated.

Her friends weren't that fond of reptiles either so they wouldn't go to the reptile house, she was so excited. Sometimes she liked to think she could talk with the animals when she went to zoos or with her dad on his discovery trips, she imagined voices coming out of them, that only she could hear.

They were celebrating the end of primary school as after the summer they would go to the local highschool, Stonewall High, where she hoped to be able to finally figure Harry Potter out and get that incident of seeing him dissappear on halloween, without Dudley threathening anyone who tried to be friends to his cousin, this fall Shannon was going to change that.

Shannon was making her plans while they saw the frogs, some colorful but poisonous like some har dad had showed her before, from a far, or on pictures he took, she had never seen one so up close, behind a protective plastic panel.

Lost in her frog thoughts Shannon did not notice when Alfie pushed her to the next room, the reptile room, where the snakes were making her nervous, it got worse after she saw the Dursleys in the room, well Dudley was with Piers Polkis pestering the animals and Harry Potter was there too, it was weird to see him, they never took him out to leisure activities anymore after the Halloween night when Shannon said she saw him disappear.

Harry appeared to be talking with one of the snakes, if it wasn't a snake Shannon would have joined in, probably it was part of her plan to get to know him in Stonewall and finally solve the mystery once and for all.

Lost in her thoughts Shannon barely noticed the protective glass disappearing and the snake leaving, as the crawling creature passed next to her Shannon managed to produce a scream before passing out.

When Shannon woke up she was back in her house with her parents, Maddie and Alfie next to her.

"Hi darling you woke up" , her father said

"I am so sorry, I just wanted to give you a little scare, I had no idea one of them would scape and pass next to you" Alfie said.

"Well I got distracted, the Dursleys were there with Harry" Shannon said.

"Oh yes Shannon and her crush on Harry Potter" Maddie said.

"Is not a crush, I am just curious about the weird stuff that happens around him, like he was talking to the snake that escaped before it happened" Shannon said.

"it was just a coincidence sweetie" Her father said once again.

"I am not so sure, I think I saw the protective glass disappear" Shannon replied.

"You were in a moment of stress and just imagined it, it's pretty normal" her mother said.

"Perhaps Shannon needs a vacation, to get away meet new places, like we used to do when she was a little girl" Her mother said again.

"We could go to the old family farm house, I had the best time there when I was your age and our neighbors, thanks to them I fell in love with animals" Her father said.

"that is a great idea Mr Combe, can we go" Alfie said.

"I don't know, you would have to ask your parents" Shannon's mother said.
