Shannon had a lot in her mind as she went back home that summer, Gryphus and Rolf had taked about their weird school being in Scotland, was it connected to the flying car going to Scotland. And why the lack of a mail service?

"Shan your friends are here" Her mother yelled as Maddie and Alfie came through the door.

"How was your holiday" Alfie asked.

"Nice but confusing, do you know of any weird old boarding school in Scotland" Shannon asked

"is this about Potter again, I thought you went away to forget about that" Alfie asked.

"no, I wanted to go to Scotland but I couldn't, this,I don't know what it has to do with Potter but the neighbors from my farm talked about their weird school that just happened to be in Scotland" Shannon said.

"Well I am starting to believe now that there is something weird going on with him, so after you left the Dursleys got a visit from Vernon's sister, you know the fat one who loves dogs" Alfie said.

"Yeah I think she visited them for his 5th birthday as well, she scared me" Shannon said.

"So the day she arrived there was something in the air like a balloon or something, I can't remember well, and apparently it was Harry's fault so they kicked him out..." Alfie began.

"They kicked him out?" Shannon asked. Had they finally done it? but what could have caused it.

Months later in Hogwarts Gryphus was trying to escape the castle to go into the forbidden forest, his favourite place in the school, last year there had been a little of a spider infestation, the other creatures were nice but those spiders made things unconfortable reading muggle books to the different creatures was fun, Gryohus loved reading about the muggle world, muggle studies was his favorite elective along with care of magical creatures of course, so he liked to combine both by going to the forest to read. He dreamed one day muggles Wizards and other magical creatures and beings could co exist peacefully, without secrets and discrimination.

"Hey Gryph are you coming to the Quidditch match or are you running away to the forest? with the dementors running around is probably not a good idea" said Cedric Diggory passing by.

"The dementors are here to protect from a killer, the creatures will help me if anything happens" Gryphus said with confidence.

In reality Gryphus was planning of getting off the school premises Where no dementors would be, as always everyone including the dementors would focus on Harry Potter and he could sneak out.

Shannon had a hard time trying to sneak out from the class with her friends they walked with a tour guide in a bunch of sightseeing places, and there were teachers all around the group to make sure no one dissapeared.

"Today is the day" Shannon said.

"You're sneaking out?" Maddie asked.

"Yes! today we are going near some old ruins no one is ever been to, like for some reason archeologist always avoid it, saying it's too dangerous and faulty, there are danger signs surrounding it but no one has been there or knows who the castle belonged to" Shannon said.

"So you are trying to die in an old castle?" Alfie said.

"I just want to see it up close" Shannon said.

"To search for aliens?" Maddie said.

"Maybe" Shannon said.

"If you get abducted, we won't know what to tell your parents" Alfie said.

"I'll be fine, don't worry" Shannon said.

And after they reached some woods near the castle Shannon was interested in, she hid behind a small hill she found as the group moved foward. It would have been fun to bring her friends along, but incase anything happen it was better if someone with the group knew where she went.

She looked at the edge of the woods, something about it was strange, after a chilhood close to the jungle and summers in the countryside, Shannon enjoyed nature and didn't fear being in the forest as much as some people, but this forest seemed to repel her, making her afraid of it. Perhaps she could surround the forest.

Gryphus had made it into the forbidden forest, his favourite place in the school, it was almost like a sanctuary for magical creatures, students were forbidden to go unless they were punished, and muggles were magically kept away. But with the dementors around it was better to go to the edge of the forest, sometimes muggles would pass close by visiting the area, Gryphus would watch them with their cameras, they couldn't take actual images of the forest or really see what is inside the forest, it was a shame, or perhaps it was for the best, muggles try to control what they don't understand, and magical creatures are not meant to be controlled. As he got closer to the edge he didn't notice he was being followed by a jackalope, but he did notice there was someone outside, closer to the edge that muggle tourists would get.

Shannon was walking around the edge of the mysterious woods when she saw a shadow approaching, two shadows a big one and an small one, she couldn't see what the shadows were, until one appeared to emerge from an invisible barrier, it was Gryphus. He looked at her and went pale, he had this black robe with a blue and yellow scarf.

"Sh... Sh... Shannon? what are you doing here" Gryphus said.

"A school field trip, I decided to take a little detour, but what are you doing here? these forest is like unexplored, it's scary, it repels people, I am quite shaky" Shannon said

"I..." but before he could say more something else came out, a jackrabbit with antlers on it's heads, if there were aliens making genetic experiments in there, that would be the result.

"What is that?" Shannon said pointing at the creature.

"What?" Gryphus said.

"That animal behind you, the rabbit with antlers, tell me you see it" Shannon said.

He turned around. A slight expression of shock, maybe he did see it.

"It's a ... duck!" He said as a bigger animal followed the rabbit and went over them. If that was his idea of a joke, it wasn't a good one but then she realized she was inside the forest.
