Beautiful scenery of dawn, First ray of sunlight just touched the earth. Flowers were glowing with the first light reflected from the water drops placed on them. Water drops were glowing like crystals.  

And everything seemed more beautiful at the bank of a beach . 

People were doing their jogs and walks early in the morning. Some were just enjoying the morning aura of this beautiful place. Birds chirping were adding more beauty to the morning. 

Here, A couple just stepped on the sand of the shores. They were enjoying their morning jog. The girl stopped at the coconut water stall.

"Hey Love, I need some coconut water." She said lovingly as she was tired before completing her jog. 

He turned back to her and glanced at her sternly. "Finish your jogging first. "

She pouted. "Dushu I'm tired. Please. " She pleaded ,emphasizing the word 'please'.

He smiled at her innocence. "Don't look like this. Myra you promised me to complete at least one round." 

Myra smiled. Her innocent smile was enough to melt his heart. 

"Okay fine. Come. "He moved back to her and ordered  coconut water for her. 

"Love, you are doing lots of run and chase with criminals. You don't need any jogging or exercise. You are already fit and healthy. "Myra said while looking at him. 

Myra used to call him love as he loved this name and He too loved to be called as love by her. 

"But you don't get enough time to maintain your fitness, honey."Dushyant replied while forwarding her a coconut. 

" But I'm fit. " She shrugged her shoulders proudly. 

Dushyant smiled."Okay finish it fast then we'll resume our jogging. "

Myra nodded. They were walking and Myra was having her coconut water while walking with Dushyant. 

They moved ahead while talking. Suddenly Myra's foot stuck with something. She looked down and found a polythene bag stuck to her foot. "Why don't people avoid this plastic? This is really dangerous. "She said angrily.

"Okay leave it. It's our Sunday after three months. Finally we got a day to relax so just don't spoil your mood. " Dushyant patted her cheeks .

She glanced over him in anger. "At least they could throw it into the dustbin. "She frowned.

Dushyant held her from the shoulders. "C'mon I'll throw it. "

He was about to hold the plastic bag but was shocked to see something in that. It was stained with blood and half of the bag was buried under the sand. 

"Myra we need to check."He said and removed the sand from the bag. He was shocked to see the scenario in the front of his eyes. 

Bag was full of blood and a dead body of  a few months old baby was in it. Dushyant heaved a deep sigh. 

"Myra call the team and seal the area. "Dushyant came into his officer mode immediately.  She nodded and called someone. 

….

A beautiful room, painted in black and white.  A princess cozy bed and big sized teddy bear placed on the bed. Room was messy. Laptop was placed on the side table. Someone was sleeping while covering her face inside the blanket, Room was totally chilled. 

The sweet sleep of the owner was disturbed by the mobile's ringtone. A hand slipped out of the blanket and grabbed the phone. Hand took the phone inside and hit the green button. 

"Hello, " A sleepy voice replied to the call. 

"What the! " She yelled in frustration and jumped out of the blanket. 

"Coming. "She yawned and threw the blanket. 

She placed her phone on the bed and made some faces in irritation. 

"Sunday ruined again. " She ran to the washroom.

She is Anamika, the technical expert of the team. She loved to sleep but she had a busy schedule due to her duty. She was running here and there while getting ready.

She was ready to go. She looked at her bed and pouted. "I'll miss you my love. " She ran out of the house.

She started her car, meanwhile her phone rang again. She heaved a sigh. She looked at the screen and it flashed Amma written on the screen. She shut her eyes for a while and received the call.

"Hie Amma! "She said sadly. 

"What happened Anu? "Her mother asked, sensing some sadness in her voice.

"Amma I got a holiday after a long time of three months, but a case has been reported. I wanna sleep, Amma." She said kiddishly.

Her mother laughed a little."Stop acting like a kid. You chose to be an officer so why are you complaining now? You make us proud Anu. " her. Mother said. 

A sweet smile played on her lips listening to her mother.. 

"Love you so much Amma.  I didn't choose this, my nation chose me but I need a sleep Amma. " She frowned again. 

"You are driving!  Take care Anu." Her mother bid her bye and cut the call. She smiled and focussed on driving to reach the crime spot. 

….

Here,  at some shooting range, A young lady and a man were practising shooting in the shooting range.  They targeted their target on the board. Bullets fired in the air. 

"Check Ruhana, I am the winner again. " Man said, while pointing towards the board.

Ruhana smiled and tilted her neck towards him.

 "Vineet, I guess you aren't the winner alone. I'm not a loser. Check. "She said, while showing him the board. 

He frowned. "I am better than you Ruhana. " 

She glanced at him. He became angry at little things so did now.

Ruhana smiled at him.

 " Stop getting angry on the little things, bunny. " Bunny, a name Ruhana gave to Vineet.

 She called him with this name whenever he's angry. 

He smiled. " don't call me this. This name is so kiddish." He complained like a kid. 

Ruhana looked at him and pulled his left cheek. "Aww! You are so cute my angry man. Come let's go for another round. "She said, loading her gun. 

He nodded and was about to load his gun but disturbed by the phone ring. He replied to the call and was asked to reach at certain place.

"What happened? "Ruhana asked.

"A case has been reported. We need to reach there. " Vineet said and both moved out of the shooting range.

….

Here at the beach, Dushyant and Myra already started their investigation. Myra was a forensic expert, so she started collecting blood samples. She had already sent the dead body of the baby to the forensic lab.

In the Meantime, a man in his thirties in  all formal way, came there. He removed his goggles and stopped near Dushyant. 

"Dushyant, what happened here? " He asked. 

"Sachin, We found a baby's dead body.  It was in a bad condition. Myra collected all the samples and sent them to the lab. We need to investigate more. " Dushyant said. 

Sachin nodded simply.

 "Body had turned blue and it smelled foul.  Maybe the body was buried few days back. " Myra said while coming towards them. 

"I have asked many people but no-one knows anything . "Anamika said, writing down some points in her notebook. 

"how insensible people are!?  They killed a few month-old baby just because it was a girl.  I'll make sure that they will get punished." Sachin said while discussing something with Dushyant. 

"Some couples are just praying to get a baby and some just kill because they didn't want a girl. How cruel! "Ruhana said while coming towards them. 

"We can't be emotional." Vineet said in his firm tone. 

"Myra, make a call to Dr. Suhas and tell him to get ready for this case. If you have done with your investigation then you can leave to Lab. "Sachin ordered her. 

"Okay Sir. I'll be leaving. "Myra said and took her leave with samples and evidence. 

Vineet scratched his forehead. "What do you think?  Why did they kill this baby?"  he asked. 

"Because she was a girl. " Anamika replied. 

"No Anamika. There's missing something. If they had a problem with her gender they would have done it before. They won't have waited this much. " Sachin said thoughtfully. 

"Quite possible. Okay do one thing, me and Ruhana will go to different hospitals, if we get any information about her. And you guys will check other aspects. " Vineet said. 

"okay Vineet. Sachin, You will go to the forensic department first.See what the experts say? "Ruhana said. 

Sachin just nodded. Ruhana and Vineet left the place.

"I guess we need to interrogate people on the beach. There must be someone who must have seen this baby. We will definitely get a clue. "Sachin said and Dushyant shared a picture of the baby on Anamika and Sachin's phone. 

They moved to different directions on the beach. Sachin and Anamika were together. Sachin was quiet and was moving towards the food stalls of the beach.

"Vada paw!! Wow sir.  Can I have one? I am really hungry. Please." Anamika pouted. Whether she was an officer but always acted like a kid in front of her seniors. 

Sachin glanced at her in anger.

 "No sir, I am not hungry. Just kidding. My stomach is full as I have some air,  fresh air you know. " She said sarcastically. 

Sachin stopped near Vada paw stall. "Excuse me! We are from crime branch. We need your help! " Sachin started a conversation with the food seller. 

"yes sir!."

"have you seen this baby? "He asked, showing her picture in his phone. 

He looked at the picture quietly and seemed to think something. He denied.

Sachin turned to move and looked once at Anamika's face.

"Boss, give her Vada paw. " Sachin said , keeping money on his stall. 

Anamika's face lit up in happiness. "Thank you sir! " Sachin smiled and patted her head. 

"Sir I saw this baby." That man almost shouted.

Sachin smiled. "Where? "

"With some kids who begged at signals. "He answered. 

"Where will I find them? "

"Exactly, I don't know. Maybe at the slum area. " He replied. 

Sachin heaved a sigh. "Are you sure? "

He nodded. Sachin thanked  him. And moved from there with Anamika.
