That same day, there had been a fault with the fire alarm that was installed in the house to which they had scheduled for it to be fixed in three days time when Mama and Papa would both be home.

After a little while, Martha started smelling burning stuff and thats when it clicked in her head. Shit!...she had completely forgotten about her practical cooking snacks...trying to run back inside,  she stopped in her steps watching flames of fire ascending up.

She froze! Right there...screamed on the top of her voice....Martha woke up all sweaty and tears filled her eyes. Aunty had hwr scream and came running right upto her room in her pajamas.

"Martha, are you ok sweetie?...oh poor girl...its that dream again! Aunty said as she sat on Martha's bed embracing her into a warm hug.
"Its ok love...its fine am here...its just a dream". She sat there with her for a long time which seemed like forever listening to her sobs until when she finally slowly slumbered to sleep again...snuggling her head into the comfort of Aunty.

Aunty slowly shifted her body and adjusted Martha's pillow under her head and creful not to wake her up,  she reated her head back and later her sleep. Wiped her puffy eyes with her fingers...watched her sleep peacefully again and prayed in her heart for Martha to wake up with no.memeories of this nightmare....as she ways did whenever this had happened in the past.

It had been a while since she last had that dream...and everytime she did she would wake up all broken up, moody or just lazy to even get out of bed.

But it seems like things had changed alot this time round. Maybe because she had finally decided to let go of the past and refocus on her future? Well maybe, because when she woke up today, she was just fine...she didnt remember any bit of it! Big step to recovery..

As she was brushing her teeth getting ready for breakfast, she had Aunty call her from down stairs.
"Will be there in a few Aunty" she replied at the top of her voice so Aunty could here her.

Jst in a few before she could even wind up, she heard footsteps and then a knock on her room door. "Come on Aunty, just give me a minute" she lazily grumbled as she pulled on her cropped short jeans from her dresser and a purple t-shirt with bold black words 'LAZY DAY'.

As she folded the ends of her shirt either sides tsking a final look in the long dressing mirror, the door creaked open and there was Lunn striding at Martha with an impatient face!

"OMG! Lunn" You so early....jeeez am so damn happy to see you girlfriend" Martha giggled as she pulled UP Lunn and embraced her in a huge long hug...clinging on each other and jumping along like kids.

"Hmmm, am not early you sleepy head! You just slept too much...mehn when did i last see you?! Feels like years" Lunn uncontrollably pulled Martha into another huge long hug!

"Ok! Ok! Enough with the hugs girls! Breakfast is ready...here you go". Aunty interrupts the duo as she appears with a wooden tray bearing their breakfast with a huge smile on her face.

"Awww! Aunty you didnt have to do this! We were just coming down to join you guys...thanx alot- this is so sweet of you" Martha tells Aunty as she takes the tray from Aunty's hands placing them on a small glass table.

"Alright girls! Have fun. Love you lots". Aunty waved them off left closing the door behind her.

"We love you too Aunty". Both Martha and Lunn chorused together then went into a phase of childish gigggles. They sat and ate while rumbling through stuff that happened since they last saw each other..

"Am worried, Mum and dad have been fighting so much lately. It started off as small fights but am afraid its getting worse day by day....they just cant stop anymore" Lunn tells Martha with a very sad expression on her face.

"I dont know Martha...i just dont want the worst to happen! It will break me if they decide they want divorce...its getting out of control" Lunn finishes with a hard sigh as she tries to fight tears from streaming down her face..

"Oh Lunn! Am so sorry that you going through that! You are just so sweet you dont deserve that drama at all" Martha tries to calm her friend down.

"I dont want to see you sad so please dont think about it too much because we both know its out of your control. The decision remains on them but lets just keep hoping for the best. Let's be positive for now". Martha shifts a little to give space for Lunn to lean in and place her head on Martha's shoulder as she comforts her.

"Come on now...lets eat up. Remember we have got lots to do today" Martha cheers her frnd before they both start eating again and chatting away...

As they both clear up the place,  they head down stairs to help wash up the utensils in the kitchen.

"Hey Martha,  did you ever hear from Jason? Jason Walters?"
Lunn asks her friend with hope filled in her voice.

"Jason? No, why?? Martha answers less enthusiastic but a hint of sadness can be heard from her voice. "Why would you want to hear from him?"

"Why? Come on Martha the guy was super nice to us! Duh". Lunn rolls her eyes at Martha.

"Hmmm. Anyway, never heard from him since that day thay we left his house. Wait? LUNN! So you like the guy??? Ewwww!" Martha says as she makes a disgusting face at her friend.

"Well yeah! Have been thinking about him lately....i -i dont know but like did you like like him too??". Lunn asks unsurely. "Because i mean he is cute and all and-

"Lunn! No! I didn't like like Jason and we dont even know anything about him so would you just stop drooling already". Martha almost shouts at Lunn as she cuts her off from her love stricken dreams of Jason.

"Whooooa Martha?! What the heck was that for? Am Just asking!"

"Am sorry Lunn. Didnt mean to shout at you. I-i...i..Jason is...is a nice guy". Martha struggles to bring those words out of her mouth like they are damn poisonous!

'Does she like Jason?' Lunn thinks of her friends wierd behavior buy doesnt dare voice her concerns.

"Fine! Lets roll girlfriend" Lunn taps on Martha's arm excitedly as she leads her back to her room. Its gona be a fun day!
