"Sasuke. I'm at point B."

"Sakura. I'm at point C."

"...Naruto. I'm at point A. Believe it!"

"Too slow, Naruto. Nue, where are you?"

"Aww! You're just so cute! I love you!"

I was playing with the lost cat, Tora, we were assigned to bring back to some lady. I was talking to it, asking it why it ran away. "I ran away because my owner kept hugging the hell out of me!" Tora hissed.

"I can understand that. If I was a cat and I was being hugged to death, I'd run away, too." I said. "You seem to be the only one that understands me." Tora said, sitting down in front of me. I smiled softly at him and petted his head.

"Hey, why do you wear that cloak? It's not cold out here. What do you have to hide?" Tora asked with suspicion in his voice. I looked off to the side a bit. "I'm sorry, Tora. But if I told you, then you would be afraid of me. I know that for a fact." I said.

"Afraid? Why would I be afraid of you?" He asked. I didn't answer as I avoided eye contact with him. When I turned back to face him, he was grabbed my Naruto. "I got 'em! I got 'em!" Naruto yelled as Tora struggled to get out of his grip.

Tora began scratching him because of how tight he was holding him. "Can you identify a red ribbon on right ear?" Kakashi-sensei asked. "Yeah. We got a perfect copy." Sasuke informed. "Good job, everyone. Lost cat, Tora, found." Kakashi-sensei said.

"Can we do a different mission?! I hate cats!" Naruto screamed into the microphone. I sighed and teleported to Hokage-sama's office. "Hello, Hokage-sama. Iruka-sensei." I greeted. "Hello, Nue. It's nice to see you." Lord Hokage greeted back.

"Hi, Nue." Iruka-sensei said with a smile. "How have you been?" Lord Hokage asked me with a smile.

"Pretty good. I got just got done with my mission for finding Tora." I explained. "Then, where is your team?" Iruka asked. 

"I think they're still in the woods."

"You left them?"

"Yes. Why, was that a bad thing to do? It was, wasn't it? I'm sorry, Hokage-sama. Please forgive me." I bowed my head, apologetically. Lord Hokage chuckled for some reason. I lifted my head to look at him with a raised eyebrow.

"You are Luna's child, for sure. You remind me of Iri." Lord Hokage said, smiling. I grinned at him. "Hokage-sama?"

"Hmm?"

"Have you heard any word from my mother or sister?"

"I'm sorry, Nue, but I haven't." He said. I hung my head in disappointment. "Okay." I said, sadly. I really missed them. They've been sending me messages that they've been getting recent break-ins from  different villages.

They said that they had to erase any trace of me. I understand that they want to protect me.  They care about me. "Cheer up, Nue. Don't look so down." Iruka-sensei said. "How am I supposed to cheer up when I'm missing my family?" I asked.

"Come here, Nue," Lord Hokage said. I did as he said and walked towards him. I stopped in front of his desk before he placed a hand on my head. I looked at him, confused. "Nue, you have nothing to worry about. I'm sure your mother and your sister and doing everything they can to come see you." Lord Hokage assured me.

I gave him a small smile. I really liked Lord Hokage. He felt like a grandfather-figure to me. "Thank you, Hokage-sama." I said with a small bow. I looked at my cloak as my wings twitched under it. "Nue-chan!" Naruto called as he burst through the front door.

I turned around to face him. "Why did you leave me?" He whined. "I'm sorry, Naruto. I just had to speak with the Hokage." I explained. "Regardless, you shouldn't have left the team, Nue! You need to be more like Sasuke!" Sakura scolded.

"And another reason why I left." I mumbled as I rolled my eyes. Sasuke and Sakura was also one of the reasons. "Man, issss Duckbutt all sssshe talkssss about?" Kiyoshi hissed, annoyed.

"Well, she does have a major crush on him. Anyone can see that. Maybe Sasuke can, too, and he just wants to ignore it." I replied. "Or he'ssss too sssstupid." Kiyoshi said. "That could be it, too. Maybe Sasuke is too stupid to realize that." I said.

"Say one more bad thing about Sasuke!" Sakura yelled as she raised a fist, challenging me. Oh, she heard that? Oh, well. "Sasuke's a dumbass." I challenged, smiling.

Sakura came at me with a punch until Maria appeared out of nowhere and grabbed Sakura's arm before flipping her over her shoulder. Sakura landed on her back with a thud. I smiled sheepishly while Lord Hokage sweat dropped.

"Hey, Babe! I wassss wondering when you were going to ssssee me." Kiyoshi said with hearts in his eyes. Now, it was my turn to sweat drop. "Um, I don't think she came here to see you, Kiysohi." I said. "I'm sorry, I'm late, Nue-sama." Maria said as she bowed.

"Actually, you're right on time." I corrected her. "Hey. Isn't that the girl who showed up after you beat Sasuke?" Naruto asked. "Yeah. You've met her before. Do you even remember her name?" I asked. "Of course, I do. It's... Mary?" He guessed.

I sweat dropped again. "You're close, but no. Her name is Maria Asanaki." I corrected him. I leaned on Maria's shoulder as I yawned. "Is everything all right, Nue-sama?" Maria asked me. "Yeah, I'm fine. I'm just a bit tired, is all." I said before yawning again.

"Perhaps we should go home and let you rest?" Maria suggested. I shook my head. "I need to stay and see what our next mission is." I said as I rubbed my right eye. Maria was about to respond until Naruto said, "I want a real mission!"

I looked at Lord Hokage as he frowned at Naruto. I don't think there was any point in arguing with Naruto because I think he'll throw a fit if he doesn't get what he wants. "Fine. You will be assigned a C-ranked mission." Lord Hokage said, giving up, or maybe he wants to test Naruto's strength.

"All right!" Naruto cheered. "It'ssss about time. The missionssss you guyssss been doing have been kind of lame." Kiyoshi hissed. I smiled at him before remembering something. "Oh, Hokage-sama! How rude of me! I didn't introduce you to Maria!" I said.

Lord Hokage chuckled. "Maria and I have already met, Nue." He said. I shot him a confused look before looking at Maria. "Nice to see you again, Lord Hokage." Maria said with a smile. Hokage-sama looked at her, eyeing her suspiciously.

"I see you've grown a few wrinkles while I was looking after my Mistress." She joked. I saw an anime vein appear on Lord Hokage's head. "Uh, Maria... maybe you should stop while you're ahead." I said, getting a bit nervous of what the Hokage might do.

Lord Hokage coughed, getting everyone's attention. "You'll be assigned to escort a bridge builder back to his homeland." He explained. Cool. So, who's the bridge builder? The door opened revealing a guy who was holding a beer bottle.

"You. The short one with the idiotic look on his face. I'm supposed to trust you to take me back to my village?" he said, pointing at no one in particular... I think? "Hey, who's the short guy with the idiotic look on his face?" Naruto said.

I zoned out pretty quickly, but I do think I lined up with Sasuke and Sakura. As we lined up, Sasuke was the tallest, Sakura was next, I was two centimeters shorter than her, and Naruto was the shortest.

"I'll demolish you!" Naruto said as he tried to charge at the bridge builder, but Kakashi was holding him back. "My name is Tazuna and I need to return to my country." The drunk man said. "All right, everyone. meet at the front gates in one hour." Kakashi-sensei said.

"Hai!" We all chorused. "Maria, let's... huh?" Maria wasn't standing at her spot anymore. "Where did she go?" I asked Kiyoshi. "Maybe sssshe went home. Let'ssss go ssssee if ssshe's there." Kiyoshi suggested. I nodded in  agreement and went to the house.

When I got there, Maria was by the doorway with my bag. "What the... Maria?! How did you get here so fast?" I asked. Maria gave a closed eye smile as she held a finger to her lips. "It's a secret." She said. I giggled slightly and looked at her as she held a face of... sadness?

"Maria, what's wrong?" I asked her. "Nue-sama, I'm afraid I won't be accompanying you to the Land of Waves." She said. "Why not?" I asked, confused. "A message was received today from Luna-sama earlier today while you were on your mission. An army of ANBU Black Ops has infiltrated your home and are attacking the castle." Maria explained.

"ANBU? Who was sent by them?" I asked. "It's unknown, Nue-sama. But Luna-sama needs my help right away." She said. I gazed at the floor, sadly. "Please try and understand, Nue-sama. If I don't leave now, your family will die." Maria said.

"No, it's okay. I understand." I said. If I don't let Maria leave, Okaa-san and Iri will die and it will be all my fault. "Nue-sama," I looked up as Maria was in front of me. She used her thumb to wipe away a tear that escaped my eye.

"Please don't cry. I don't want to see you in tears before I leave." Maria said. I gave a small nod. I was sad about being left alone. I was sad because I was afraid I wouldn't see Maria again. How will I know she won't get killed on his mission?

What if she dies helping Okaa-san and Iri? I quickly embraced my maid. "Just please... come back to me alive, Maria, okay?" I said. "Is that an order, Nue-sama?" She asked. "Yes, that's an order." I said, hugging her more tightly.

"Hai, Nue-sama." Maria replied as she wrapped her arms around me, hugging me back.

After I was done hugging Maria, she offered to walk me to the gates. Once we were there, I hugged her again. "Please be safe, Maria." I said. "I wish the same for you, Nue-sama. I'll try to be back as fast as I can as soon as my duty is complete." She said, hugging me back. 

She let go of me and headed off towards the castle. "Where's your maid going, Nue-chan?" Naruo asked me. I didn't answer as I gazed at the ground. "Is she leaving you for good, Nue?" Sakura taunted.

"I don't want to hear it from you right now, Sakura." I said with a frown. But of course, she had to challenge me and continue. "I think it's about time she left. She's was annoying us anyway. I hope she never comes back. Wherever she's going, she's probably going to end up dead." Sakura said.

That's when I had enough. I spun around and punched her hard in the jaw, nearly breaking it. No one insults Maria, and I mean, no one. "I swear, if you insult Maria again, it won't be your jaw that gets punched." I warned. Sakura frowned at me as she rubbed her jaw.

I glared down at her as I wanted to hurt her some more, but I knew I couldn't. Sakura stood to her feet while I turned around to walk away. "Whatever." I heard her mumble. I was quickly behind her as I twisted her arm behind her back.

"Keep testing my patience, Haruno. See if I'm joking. I could break your arm right now if I wanted to," I bent her arm back a bit more, almost to the point where I could shatter the bone. Sakura grunted a bit, feeling the pain.

"What do you say, Sakura? Surely, you don't need this arm. How about I break it off and keep it as a souvenir? Right, Sa-ku-ra-chan?" I said with a smirk. I bent her arm back some more, making her cry out. "Nue, that's enough." Kakashi ordered.

I frowned before letting Sakura go. "Let's go before I kill that bitch." I said as I started walking ahead of the group. "Assss much assss I don't like SSSSakura, don't you think you were being a bit cruel?" Kiyoshi asked.

I ignored him as I pulled my hood over my head. He sighed and slithered near my bag. "I'll be in here if you need me, okay?" He hissed. I gave a small nod and he disappeared into the bag. The team and I walked on the empty path quietly.

No one said a word while so many random things were going through my head. I sighed as I passed a puddle and looked towards the sky. Wait a second. A puddle? It hasn't rained in weeks. Why would there be a puddle here?

Something doesn't feel right. I stopped walking and let the rest of the group walk ahead of me. I gazed down at the puddle, narrowing my eyes at it. "Are we going to do this the easy way," I took out my kunai knife. "Or the hard way." I whispered.

Two ninjas slowly emerged from the puddle. I took a couple steps because they were freaking tall! They stared down at me for a moment before their eyes widened. "No, you can't be her..." One of them said. I raised a brow in confusion.

I can't be who? What are they talking about? "Nue... Houjuu?" The other black ninja said. I gasped slightly. "How do you know my name?" I asked. They stared down at me, not answering my question. I gasped again, this time at their speed, because they were heading right for my teammates.

They made their chains wrap around Kakashi and "kill" him. After that happened, they went after my teammates. I so wasn't in the mood for this today. I jumped on one of their backs and summoned my trident. I held the handle firmly against his throat, choking him.

He fell on his knees and gasped and grunted while he tried to breathe in air. Yeah, like I was gonna let that happen. I continued to hold the handle against his throat until he blacked out. I got off of him and looked at his partner who was charging at Naruto.

Oh no, you don't. I tackled him to the ground and sat on his stomach. I held out my kunai knife before stabbing him in the eye. He screamed in agony, making me smirk as blood gushed out and splashed on me.

"If I take the kunai out, will your eyeball come out as well~?" I asked, chuckling to myself. I pulled the kunai knife out of his socket, and I was right. The eyeball did come out as it stuck to the end of the knife.

I chuckled darkly before throwing my head back, laughing manically. I lifted the eyeball towards my face and opened my mouth.

A drop of blood escaped the eyeball, landing on my tongue. I smirked and began to laugh again. "Nue," I giggled darkly and turned around, facing Kakashi. "Care to play with me, Ka-ka-shi~?" I asked, playfully.

Kakashi's POV

I narrowed my eyes at Nue. It was just like in the bell test. Except she's gone completely insane, and her eyes were glowing purple again. Nue giggled before coming at me with the kunai knife in her hand. I quickly dodged out of the way and grabbed her wrist.

"Drop the knife, Nue." I said with a frown. Nue smirked and used her other hand to take out another kunai knife and scratch the front of my vest, drawing a little bit of my blood. Some of the blood got on her kunai knife as well, but Nue didn't care as she licked the tip, tasting my blood.

"That was delicious. Come, let me have another taste, Kakashi. Let me have more, KAKASHI!" Nue screamed before running towards me. What's gotten into her?! Nue's eyes went back to red. She blinked, then stopped in her tracks.

"Huh?" Nue shook her head hard, as if shaking something out of her hair. "Huh? What... happened?" Nue asked. She looked at me, then at the bloodied kunai knife in her head. Nue freaked out and tossed the kunai away. "How... When did I... do that?" Nue asked.

"Are you saying you don't remember anything?" I asked her. Nue grabbed her head with one hand. "I... don't remember much." She said, softly.

"What do you remember?" I asked. "Um... I remember walking with you guys and I saw the ninjas kill you. Then, they went after Naruto. Everything after that is kind of a blur." Nue said. I narrowed my eyes at her. Nue looked at me before moving her gaze to the front of my vest and gave a small gasp.

"You're hurt." Nue noticed. I looked at the scratch she gave me. "It's just a scratch. I'll be fine. Don't worry." I told her. "Are you sure?" Nue asked. "Yeah, I'm fine, Nue. Don't worry." I repeated with a smile.

She smiled back before going over to Naruto. "Are you all right, Naruto?" Nue asked him. Naruto gulped before nodding his head. "What's the matter? You look like you've seen a ghost." Nue said before chuckling.

She really has no idea that Naruto was afraid of her. "Nue, you have some blood on your face." Sasuke mentioned. Nue blinked her eyes before wiping the blood off her cheek. That didn't make a difference because all she did was smear it all over her cheek.

 "Here, let me get it." Sasuke offered. "Nope," Nue slapped his hand away. "Don't touch me, Uchiha." She said. I guess Nue wasn't kidding when she said she didn't like Sasuke. She won't even let him touch her.

Nue used her cloak to wipe the blood off her cheek before facing me. "Well, what are we waiting for? Let's go before something else happens to us." She said with a smile. I looked at her for a moment before nodding in agreement. "Yeah."

Nue smiled at me before walking next to Naruto. Does Nue really not remember what happened? Is she lying? It was hard to tell. I'll have to be concerned about that later. Right now, getting Tazuna to his country was our top priority.

Naruto's POV

Nue-chan walked beside me as we made our way to a boat. We all got in and Nue-chan sat next to me. "Whoa, this is cool! Believe it!" I said, rather loudly. "Quiet down, ya runt!" Tazuna said. I frowned. I blinked when I felt a hand ruffling my hair.

I glanced over at Nue-chan to see her smiling at me as she was ruffling my hair. I smiled back. After a while as we were in the boat, I noticed Nue was trying to keep her eyes open. Her eyes kept closing and opening every now and then.

About a minute later, I felt weight on my left shoulder. I turned my head to see Nue-chan fast asleep on my shoulder. She looked kind of cute when she was sleeping. I felt my face heat up when she wrapped her arms around my neck and buried her face in the crook of my neck.

I blushed even more. "We're here." The person rowing the boat said. "Nue-chan, wake up." I said as I nudged her a bit. She didn't budge. I tried again, but nothing happened. She didn't wake up. I hummed to myself before an idea popped in my head.

I picked up Nue-chan and set her on my back. My hands were under her legs so she wouldn't fall off my back. Nue-chan smiled in her sleep as she wrapped her arms around my neck. My face turned red again, but I smiled and carried Nue-chan as the team and I walked on the empty path ahead of us.
