A certain secret
Contrary to belief, Sherlock was not 'his' real name.
Sherlene Holmes was the only sister to her brother Mycroft Holmes, though people had not seen her in a long time.
Since she was young, she had been sickly. Mycroft had to focus on his work and get his sister the help she needed since their parents died.
He had Hudson act as a caretaker for helping Sherlene, but she had her mother's adventurous spirit. She wanted to go and see the world.
But in the world they live in, women were expected to stay silent, tending to the household, have children, and be submissive to their husbands.
Sherlene never liked the idea of being a housewife. She wanted to do something with her life.
She took an interest in criminology and forensic psychology. She wanted to be a Detective like her late father.
Unlike most fathers, Millard Holmes supported Sherlene through thick and thin. He was even amused when Sherlene told him she would be a Detective like him once she got better. He would even teach her a few subject involving psychology.
She would learn the violin from her mother, Marianne, who was beautiful and kind inside and out.
What was surprising about this family, Marianne came from a rare noble family that allowed females to be the heirs.
The Ravenscroft Family was an ancient lineage since the Middle Ages. And generation after generation the family had a strong line of females. Some were assassins, swordfighters, combatants, and even gunslingers. Their distinctive traits were their dual blue colored eyes and ebony hair. And since Mycroft was involved with the government, Sherlene was left as the last heir.
Usually when a Ravenscroft heiress marries, her husband takes her name and so do their daughters. But for Sherlene's safety, she had to take her father's name until she takes the title as heiress once she was 20.
But no one would take a female Detective seriously. So Sherlene took to Disguising herself as a man and made up a story that she was living in the countryside with some family friends to tutor young ladies.
Only a few people knew of her true identity.

One day.....
"Mycroft, what brings you here?" Sherlene asks her brother who came by.
"I need a favor." Mycroft said as he sat on the couch and took a cigarette.
"You know I don't like when you smoke in the house, neither does Miss Hudson." Sherlene frowned.
"You've heard of Blitz Enders?"
"The one rumored to hunt people for amusement?"
"The very same. Scotland Yard and even Her Majesty are getting more suspicious of him due to the growing number of missing persons. But before they vanished, we were told the last person they were with was Enders. He's going to board the Noahtic on Tuesday next week. That will be a perfect scene to corner him without him escaping. I want you to be my representative on that ship to get any evidence you have on him. I already arranged a luxury suite for you on the liner." Mycroft summarized.
"Well, you do give me hard jobs, but I accept your request brother. As Private Inspector Holmes, I will bring this criminal to justice. " Sherlene smiled.

Sherlock was dressed in his tailor made suit, and walking up, with his invitation in hand.
"Ah, sir, you'll need to-" A man in a police outfit said only for Sherlock to show the invitation.
"Sorry, but I was asked to act as representative for my cousin. He couldn't be able to make it." Sherlock explained.
The policeman looked over the invitation and nodded. "I see. Apologies, and enjoy the voyage."
'Oh, this may be an interesting one...'
Sherlene thought to herself.

Plz comment!
I plan to have William not know of Sherlock's true identity till later.
How surprised do you think he'll be learning his new adversary is a woman that managed to fool him of her gender?
