|Felix's POV|

"So" Mor asks me as I drive to the Denali's. I need to ask Eleazar one question and then we're leaving. It's been a month since what happened, I would have Demetri track down that human but he'd ask questions and there are already too many as why I haven't returned "these vampires are what? As old as you?"

"Eleazar and his mate Carmen are the youngest" I tell her "Tanya, Irina and Kate are the oldest. Tanya is the coven leader—they can be trusted, the Cullens no matter who cannot"

"Okay" nodding her head before looking off into space "how sure they won't try to kill me or you?"

"Just stay in here" I order, brushing her hair "I can't lose you"

"I can't lose you either" she says "I just want to find a place and call it home"

"Home isn't the place" I tell her "it's the people" when we arrive, I park then turn off the  car seeing the Denali's all come out.

They all are curious as scared seeing me as I walk up to them "Felix" Tanya speaks since she's the head, we have about ten feet between us "what brings you by?"

"I don't come here on the ancient's orders if that's what your wondering" I tell her, they look relieved slightly but are still scared "I came to ask Eleazar a question"

Looking at him along with the others but Kate who is looking at Mor who is tapping her foot "What" Eleazar asks "can I help you with?"

"I need to know if someone I suspect" being vague "has a shield"

"Why?" Irina demands

"As you know Chelsea's gift is psychologically" I've tried leaving a few times but Chelsea's gift makes it near impossible "only a shield could protect me, I need to know if my daughter is a shield"

They all share a confused look "we didn't know you turned someone"

"I didn't" looking at Eleazar "can you just check...please"

"Did you" Kate asks "really say the word please"

"Eleazar?" Wanting to be out of here

He nods his head "Alright"

I look over to the car, Mor looks at me and I nod my head. She comes out of the car rubbing her shoulders, she isn't use to these temperatures. It's why I made sure she wore warm clothes. A black long sleeved shirt with black low cut jeans with black boots and a red and black warm leather jacket.

"When you said" she is beside me rubbing her arms "it's cold, you could have told me the degrees" she lets out a breathe and we see the fog "woah!" She blows again and touches it before giggling. Shaking my head smiling at her childish behavior, I take my large coat off placing it around her "thanks dad"

Looking at Eleazar "Well?" He looks from me to her.

"Dad!" Mor exclaims smiling when she sees it snowing "it's snowing!"

"Why don't you catch a snowflake?" I suggest, she heads off jumping high into the air.

"What is she?" Irina demands

"Eleazar?" I demand

"He'll tell you" Tanya says "once you tell us what she is"

I debate before saying "A hybrid. Five years ago I impregnated a human" their eyes widen "I've hidden her from the Volturi for five years because of her ability to manipulate light and for being a hybrid"

"She's five?" Carmen asks

"Her growth rate is unprecedented" I say "your the first vampires to meet her...she can even show you" I don't know how but after assembling the Cup of Ankh, she's been able to project her thoughts.

"I'd like to see" Tanya asks

"Morrigan" I call, she comes back down "could you show Tanya here the truth?"

"Sure" nodding her head, I stay by her side as she comes up to Tanya. Placing her hand on her cheek—she could ask for your hand but her gift seeks to be like Aro's where she needs to touch you, I think if she has a shield she could one day learn to project the gift without touching anyone.

After a minute, Tanya's eyes widen looking at her coven "It's true, she's a hybrid"

"Eleazar?" I ask

He nods his head "She is definitely a shield...I've never heard of this"

"Do you understand why I can't let the ancients find out?" I ask "I can't lose her"

"We promise not to tell anyone" Tanya promises and her coven agrees.

"Where" Kate asks "will you go?"

"Forks" I say and they have a worried look "what?"

"Carlisle" Tanya explains "he's moving his coven there for the next few years"

"Is it" Mor asks "possible for me to project my gift?"

"It takes centuries for most vampires" I tell her

"But I could" she states

"If you want" Eleazar offers "I could help you learn to project your gift or enhance the natural shields we all have"

"What?" She asks

"Everyone" Irina tells her "has a natural shield, but not all take form. Not like you"

"Can we stay dad?" Mor asks "until I can project my gift or enhance your shield? Keep anyone from finding us?"

Nodding my head "If it's alright with you Tanya"

"Of course" nodding her head "please, come in"

|Two Months Later|

"Ready?" I ask Mor, she nods her head using the light to hide herself. Blending in. Camouflage. I have all my things packed up, I just need to send it to England. It's in a storage locker but I need to tell the ancients first.

We head inside, going to the throne room I walk in to see the ancients on their thrones. "Ah" Aro smiles "Felix! Your back! How was your travels?"

"They were good" I answer "and I'm not back, I came to inform you that I'm leaving"

"Leaving?" Caius asks

"The Volturi" I say "become a nomad" my friends look shocked by this, I notice Chelsea is here.

Aro stands up and comes down to take my hand, he is silent before frowning letting go "Why can't I read your mind?"

"I don't know" I answer, the only thing I'm afraid of is Marcus since he can see bonds despite the shield. But I know my daughter and she's out in the hallway, she's able to project her shield from a mile away.

He clenched his jaw "Are you certain about this?"

"I am" I pull out my necklace and hand it to him, I leave then.

"Dude!" Looking behind to Afton and Santiago "why are you leaving?"

"I just want to leave" I say "no specific reason, I just do. I'll see you around"

"We'll miss you" Santiago says

"Same" we have brief hugs before leaving, when I find Mor she's uncloaked with blood coming down her nose. I pick her up and run her out of here as fast as I can since I know Aro and he's probably having Chelsea come after me. No. I can't continue to stay there.

Once I'm miles away, I don't sense Chelsea and smile. Finally! I'm free of them.
