It was the season of mangoes and watermelons. I was at school attending a boring lecture with a class full of day dreaming students and a talkative teacher. When the last bell finally rang, we all were very glad to hear it ring and were also in a hurry to go back to our sweet havens.

On my way to the bus stop, I spotted a group of girls huddled together in a circular manner. As I got closer, I realised that they looked familiar, and one of them was my best friend. Others were just my acquaintances. I stood beside my friend to see what these girls were discussing about.

"...and this app is vast! You can find anything! I'm currently reading a fanfiction of fifty shades, and it is out of this world! You should seriously check it out." I heard one of them saying. At once, everyone took out their phones and started typing on their screens.

"What was she talking about, Cici?" I asked my friend whose eyes were glued to the screen. 

"It was this," She replied by showing me an orange color 'W' icon. "Wattpad is an app where you can read books for free!" She said with excitement.

And that is how folks, I discovered wattpad in the year 2017. And ever since that day, wattpad has always been with me. Wattpad is a whole new world with many crazy worlds in it, and probably this could be the best thing that would have happened to a bibliophile. At least, it did for me.

The very first book I read on wattpad was, 'Revenge of the dead girl'. I don't know the author's name, but the book gave me chills after reading it. Horror books on wattpad are mind blowing! Okay, not only books belonging to horror genre, but books of every genre I have read to this day are amazing and worth reading it! I mean, it's only through wattpad that we have found such talented writers.

In the initial days of using wattpad, I realised why people are into reading and writing books. I swear, most of you will agree upon this, I think that books are the best creation ever created by the mankind. What do you think? For me, books help me in avoiding reality. They build a better world in my mind than the world I'm currently in.

Wattpad has become a huge part of my life and I should thank wattpad for who I am today. Yes, you read that right. I thank wattpad for who I am today because I gained a lot of knowledge from it and it also made me fall in love with English Literature. I can say that I'm very mature than I was before discovering wattpad.

Back in school days, I was addicted to wattpad. I used to read books 24/7 on it. I admit I still am addicted to it, but not in the way I was back then. You won't believe that I have read more than five hundred books on wattpad. You might have read more than I have, and I'm proud of you, lad! Keep it up!

I also have come across people from different countries through this app, and surprisingly they all are really friendly and free of stereotypes. This platform could definitely help us make this world a better place if more people are interested in using it.

In the month of October, I was influenced by a poetry book to write a poetry book of my own. So, I started writing one. I didn't expect it to get views and votes, but I was on top of the world when I saw that my beloved readers were showering me with love and compliments for my book. And I'm grateful to each and everyone who read it and added it to their booklists. I can't thank you enough! These people inspired me to keep on writing and offered me help even when it was not needed. I'm blessed to have such readers. Wattpad truly helped me in achieving my dreams.

Later, I read a very famous book which everyone is aware of, and that book is 'Chasing Red' by Isabelle Ronin. If you have never read that book, what were you even reading on wattpad? Just kidding. There might be chances that you were reading 'Storm and Silence' which is another beautifully written book by Robert Thier, or you were reading other amazing books on this app. Okay, so, coming back to Chasing Red, I was in awe with this book and it made me fall in love with love. When I got to know that paperbacks of this book were available, I bought it right away from amazon! And I was happy to see that I finally received an actual book which was originally written on wattpad! By the way, Chasing Red is divided into two, one is 'Chasing Red' and another one is 'Always Red.'

For the last three years, I have read and wrote poems on wattpad and now, I'm planning to do something different on wattpad. I'm thinking of writing a book, okay, not different at all, but yeah, whatever. *laughs nervously* It could be anything except for poetry since I have already written it. But I'm not sure about the idea of my book and I'm not at all ready for it. I will just try my best to complete it.

And through wattpad, I was also able to find my true self and build my character. Being a part of this journey is blissful, and it evokes the wanderlust within me. Wattpad is a gift from heaven which you can carry it in your pockets and take it anywhere, and devour yourself in it when ever you feel like reading. I hope this journey never comes to an end, I hope I will be able to discover all the other magnificent stories I haven't read yet, and I also wish that people keep up their good work of writing such inspiring stories.
