Cody's POV
Terrance picked me up and drove me home. That's when it clicked that I wouldn't need rides anymore. I could finally legally drive my dad's car. It was very dirty but I was willing to clean it up and fix it up just to keep it and drive it. Terrance suggested to help me but I told him this is something I would like to do alone. By myself with nobody helping, well especially him. My dad loved mom and now Terrance was with her. Just wouldn't feel right letting Terrance help me. Besides I didn't want his help. But I couldn't do this alone because Natalie was on my ass.

"Terrance said he would buy you a new car," she said standing near the garage door as I washed the car.

"And I said I want dad's car. He wanted me to have it anyway." I roll my eyes at her scrubbing hard.

"Well I could have got the car," she muttered glancing up at me from her phone before looking down at it again.

"You don't even have your permit," I say rolling my eyes as I finish washing the car.

"Well you have a car, drive me to get my permit," she replied glaring.

"Not now I just got off work a while ago. Ask Terrance or mom." I said standing up dropping the towel in the bucket, the water splashing a bit on Natalie.

"Watch my socks idiot!" she yelled hitting my shoulder and I glared rolling my neck.

"Whatever, maybe don't wear just socks outdoors when you're near someone washing their car," I replied smirking as I walked past her to the front door.

As we got inside together I remembered the questions I wanted to ask her about before. That tall girl that she was with before. Eventually the two click together. That must have been Rose, that girl she was always talking too. It seemed like she wasn't calling much on her phone anymore though. And what Darby had said the night he was over for games...could that be the reason?

I turned around to finally speak my thoughts but Natalie was not in my sight. Blinking I checked the living room to find mom laying all over Terrance. Probably even sitting on him. Thankfully she was asleep and there was nothing else to it. Terrance was petting her hair and I rolled my eyes. It was still disgusting.

While making my way to the kitchen I heard Terrance say something. I was about to keep going but he might have been talking to me. Turning around I see his head is turned in my direction. Guess he was talking to me.

"Yeah?" I asked raising an eyebrow.

"You sure you don't want a new car?" he asked and I rolled my eyes.

"Just get it for Natalie," I replied walking into the kitchen.

Natalie was in the kitchen making cereal. She was taking all the coco pebbles. My favorite cereal and she knows it. She could have eaten fruit loops. Those are her favorite anyway. She's just being a brat today. Guess she hasn't grown up much from her elementary self.

"So what's up with that girl...Rose?" I asked and suddenly she spits out milk and cereal. "That's disgusting..." I made a face at her and she glared.

"Nothing, it's none of your business," she replied wiping her mouth getting up.

"So it isn't nothing and it's really something. But you don't want to tell me?" I asked laughing as she gets paper towels cleaning up the mess she made.

"It's just none of your business," she muttered and threw away the paper towels.

"True but I'm curious. I'm your big brother, I have to protect you." I said grinning and walked over to the fridge.

"You don't have to protect me from anything, I just don't want to talk to Rose anymore," she mumbled softly as I got out the milk.

"And I don't want to have to eat mom's cereal," I said pulling out the Chex cereal box out of the cabinet.

"These are two completely different matters!" she glared at me putting her dishes in the sink.

I opened my mouth to reply to get on her nerves more but my phone rings. Pulling out my phone I see Patrick calling. It's something I never thought I would see. Patrick calling me? Me not calling him? This had to be serious.

Sorry if I take a break from updating soon! I have a lot of things like tests and projects coming. But don't worry I'll update again once things are down. Plus this is just a warning just in case I do stop updating. I might be able to keep updating. Anyway love you all! Thanks for the support ❤❤❤❤
