Sarang:

Yes, sir! I did that.

Jungkook:

Are we back with sir now?

Sarang:

Huh? I didn't get you.

Jungkook:

Will you start acting formally now? 🤨

Sarang:

Oh no, nothing like that! It just came out since I'm used to calling you "sir" while we are discussing work.

Jungkook:

You sure?

Sarang:

Yes! 

Jungkook:

Okay then! What's Hana doing?

Sarang:

Just sitting in front of me. She isn't ready to leave me 🤗

Sarang:

Look at how sweetly she is looking at me. My heart is melting 🥰

Jungkook:

My baby looks so cute! I can't believe you are showering her with so much love and affection.

Sarang:

She is a sweet girl and she deserves all the love.

Jungkook:

Sarang, I know we didn't talk about this before because Hana isn't leaving you alone even for a minute. 

Jungkook:

Please don't think that I didn't mean to share about this before. It's just that we didn't get the time. Hence, I'd like to talk about my past with you over messages if not personally.

Jungkook:

So the thing is, her mother died in a car accident and she was just 5 months old at that time. Since then, I have been taking care of her. I never shared with her that her mother died. I have always told that her mother is young and beautiful and she loves her. She is just not staying with us for a bit.

Jungkook:

She is too young to learn about the reality.

Sarang:

I understand. Were you married?

Jungkook:

Oh no! She was my girlfriend and I really liked her. Hana wasn't a mistake.

Sarang:

Oh okay!

Jungkook:

Is all this too sudden?

Sarang:

It's fine now! The day when I met Hana was a bit overwhelming. But now I'm fine. Hana is really a sweet girl and I love spending time with her.

Jungkook:

I apologise for flipping your life like this. I'll make her understand and then if you want, you can return to your home.

Sarang:

And then who will take care of her?

Jungkook:

Ah! She used to spend time at my parents' house while I'd be at the company. And I would pick her up after work.

Jungkook:

Is it okay if I tell her that you're my girlfriend? 

Sarang:

Of course! I know how curious she is. So it's totally fine.

Jungkook:

Okay! Just give me a day or two and I'll talk with her. She needs to understand that she can't just be obsessed with you like this to stick around you 24/7.

Sarang:

You don't need to be harsh with your words. She isn't obsessed; she is a baby. It will take her time to let go of those insecurities.

Sarang:

We don't need to rush things. We need to assure her that her mother won't leave her again. Let her get used to seeing me around for a while and then we can talk about this with her gradually.

Sarang:

She's too young for us to throw things at her one after the other.

Sarang:

If we want her to grow like other kids of her age, we need to be patient with her.

Jungkook:

Are you sure about this?

Jungkook:

She can get a bit stubborn. I don't want her to get used to seeing you so much that it would hurt her eventually after you leave.

Jungkook:

I don't know how I'll handle all this.

Jungkook:

Do you think I made a quick decision to introduce you to her?

Jungkook:

The thing was, a few days back she fell down and her head was injured. It got me worried and then all I could think of was to give her a mother. 

Jungkook:

It's tough to handle kids alone. And on that day, my mom said that they had a discussion with Hana. She was acting like a brat, asking about her mother continuously. 

Jungkook:

She didn't eat on that day since she wanted to meet her mom. My mom made her understand that her mother would come to meet her soon. But she ran so fast to not get caught that she injured her head and got unconscious. 

Jungkook:

Though it wasn't that serious, I couldn't see my kid lying on the hospital bed so peacefully. It pained my heart. That was the reason why I did all this.

Jungkook:

Hey? You there?

Jungkook:

What happened suddenly?

Jungkook:

Is everything okay there?

Jungkook was confused as to what would have happened suddenly for Sarang to get lost. She had been reading the messages but then she went offline suddenly. 

He continued to stare at his phone screen with a worried gaze and furrowed brows until he couldn't stop himself from calling the girl. He dialled Sarang's number and waited for the call to be received. Soon, the call was received and before he could let out a "hello," he heard loud wailing.

His heart began thumping abnormally when he heard the cries of his daughter.

"Hana? What happened, princess?" He questioned abruptly as he rose to his feet.

"Appa, blood... Will mumma leave Hana? I didn't do anything, pwomish." And again, the girl began crying. Her voice was rushed as if she wanted to assure her father that she was behaving well so that her mother wouldn't leave her again.

Jungkook's heart almost stopped for a second when he heard "blood." He grabbed his car keys and tried to calm his daughter as he made his way toward the parking area. 

He got into his car and accelerated. His hands were sweating when the cries of Hana didn't die down. But he made sure to mumble sweet nothings to his daughter every now and then, assuring her that her mother wouldn't leave her. 

And he knew at this point that he had to be patient with Hana, just like Sarang said.
