Hours slowly pass by as teachers continuously drone on.
Friends come and go, while a few stay beside you.
Social time never seems to fade, as newbies try to find their calling.
If you're lucky, you won't be weighted down by homework.
Stress begins to pile up on you while, time is slowly turning against you.

With the clock ticking, how long you last without cracking under the pressure? 

School might be for learning, yet drama follow you around.
Teachers expect the best of you, yet your grades show otherwise.

The overachievers are the ones you want to beat.
Determined to prove that you're the Alpha of that class.
Yet... You forget the answer when it's your turn.

Being the new kid is no fun.
Being laughed AT, rather than being laughed with, is a downer.
Being friendless is a pain.

Smart is the new cool, yet relationships are the new trends.
What happened to just being single?
Why must we fall in love?
Knowing, that they'll left us soon after.

Sticks and stones may break you, but anxiety gets the best of me.
Being nervous wasn't part of the prologue!
Nor was the agonizing assignments.

Time soars by, while I'm barely passing through next week.
Days and nights pass by, while I'm recovering.

Thinking, blinking, eating, sleeping, writing, reading, this is my routine.
Five days a week for the next several months.
Weekends are my way of finishing homework.

Oh, school, I hate that I love you.

A/N: This was my poem titled School! Do I hate school? Not really.

Am I dreading next week? Yes.
Am I stressing? Yes.
Am I panicking? Maybe.
Is all this true? Some of it is true. The rest isn't.

Yet, to you, this might be true.
It just depends on who's reading this.
