👻Phantom Lover: A Short Story👻

"Ma'am, your husband is dead."

Silence was heard on the other side of the line. The patcher patiently waited while the woman took time to process this.

"Ma'am--"
"It should've been me! He didn't deserve to die!"

Breaking down in tears, the woman took time to compose herself. Every time she attempted to though, she would break down once more.

By her fifteenth attempt, the patcher had given up and hung up. Sighing weakly, the woman glanced at the silver wedding ring before taking it off.

"I miss you, Tyler."

Walking dully to her restroom, the woman cleaned her face before drying her face. Her blue-bell eyes were puffy and bags formed due to her being incredibly busy.

As she left, the woman failed to notice an envelope with her name on it.

What did you think? Let me know in the comments below!

A/N: This was inspired by my conversation with KahlenAkinli12 and her one-shot Mortician And Her Ghost (which is a sad and short one-shot).

I would recommend checking that out in her book titled 'My Original One-Shots'. While, she mostly own hers, I wrote a few of my own in her book, so yeah.

Mine are Run, Gold: A Story Of Regret, and Her Reflection. Feel free to check it out!

Anyways, have a great day and thanks once again for reading this! ❤
