Author Note: This is my version on how fire was created. This one isn't as dark as the other one, so enjoy!

Little Hephaestus was born to the goddess of marriage, Hera. However, Hera was disgusted by his form and threw him Mount Olympus.

Luckily, he was saved by two mortals as they raised him. Due to him being deformed though, he was often bullied at a young age. As a result, he became bitter towards people and turned his love towards machines.

Time passed as Hephaestus grew older. He lived on Earth for most of his time before realizing that he felt... Different. After building an machine, Zeus acknowledged his talents, and requested his skills at once.

When Hephaestus arrived, he was ordered to materials for their upcoming war. After realizing that he was out of ideas, he went to explore in search of an idea.

Along the way, he stumbled upon a mountain. There, he found a skull which contained a bright, orange burning light. Fascinated by this, he seized it and went to Zeus at once.

Zeus was pleased by Hephaestus's discovery. As a result, he made Hephaestus into a god. The glow was named Hephaestus's Fire in honor of him.

Pleased by this, Hephaestus decided to share his discovery with the mortals below.

The mortals, then took the fire before using it. Now, the mortals weren't freezing, and could use fire for many purposes.

Hephaestus looked from above, as he grinned to himself. Thanks to his curiousity, he was able to find something extraordinary.

My assignment was to write a essay about how fire came to exist.
