It was September 18th the one month anniversary of Camp Half-Bloods favorite couple, and Annabeth and Percy saw no better way to celebrate than by sitting in a bubble at the bottom of the canoeing lake, which was the same scenario as it had been exactly one month ago.
Percy looked up and stated thoughtfully, "You know, Wise Girl now that we've been dating for a month I think I can easily say that I love you".
Annabeth looked up from the book Percy had given her as a present. She scrunched up her eyebrows the way she did when she was thinking. After a few moments she giggled and said,
"Okay Seaweed Brain, prove it, yell it out for all of camp to hear."
He gave her a puzzled look until his sea green eyes lit up showing that he understood. He swam up to the surface with Annabeth at his heels, raced to the campfire which had started a few minutes ago and stopped right in front of it. He made a big show of brushing himself off before striking a dramatic pose (making a lot of campers laugh out loud) before screaming at the top of his lungs,
"I Perseus Jackson hereby declare that I love Annabeth Chase." He was then drowned out by laughter, coos from the Aphrodite cabin, Wolf-whistles, "I told you so's", and the occasional "You owe me 15 drachmas" from the Hermes cabin. But all that seemed like nothing to Annabeth who was overwhelmed by joy and hope for the future.
But she then realized that Percy wasn't quite done with her test.
