Fire
Enid is in a cold sweat, the two sorcerers were turning around studying each other, both with burning flames glowing in their hands.
"You don't want to start a magical fight with the principal still around the corner and especially inside the school, using fire to boot!"
Professor Silivieri gives an amused grin without ever looking away from Wednesday.
"No need to worry, it's not like this is a fight but just the first class on Wednesday, and now let's start with the theory."
Enid is now even more frightened Professor looks just like an Addams, with all the madness and scorn for danger soaked into their blood.
"The element of fire, it springs from anger, pride and ego, no wonder it is the element most akin to you, I wouldn't be surprised if you threw a few thunderbolts at me as well."
In a rapt and elegant sequence, the professor extinguishes the fire in his hands, recites quick words that Wednesday recognizes are in Spanish but does not understand, opens his hands in the direction of the young witch who does not have time to reason out a counter move that his hands close again and Wednesday feels the fire in her hands go out, first to fall to the ground with shortness of breath.
"My most akin element is also fire, but thanks to my mother I inherited a good affinity for air, she was an outstanding witch, they called her the very embodiment of magic, however I doubt you've ever heard of her, the European and American magical communities are not exactly on good terms."
Wednesday looks up again and Enid loses a beat, that anger, that fire in her eyes is the same as when she nearly razed part of the castle.
"As I have already told you this is a lesson in self-control, your mother had already informed me of your elements and told me that the best way to provoke you was through your companion."
The light of lightning and a few seconds later the rumble of thunder fill the atmosphere, outside the castle black clouds cover the sky and a crazy wind bends the trees under its force, the students of Nevermore sense it, even the normals understand that that storm is not natural.
"Climate control..... impressive... But real power is null and void without control."
The purple flames flare up again in Wednesday's hands and she does not wait to throw tongues of fire toward her teacher, who, however, extinguishes them without batting an eye.
"What's the matter, you got nervous because I know your little secret."
Another tongue of fire.... This one, too, extinguished by the young teacher without him even looking at her, his gaze locked in Wednesday's, his anger growing, his pride wounded and his ego faltering, his flames could not be more dangerous.
"Wednesday Addams, if you want to have power, if you want to rise above the normals, if you want to rise above the outcasts, IF YOU WANT TO RISE ABOVE THE NAME OF YOUR ENTIRE FAMILY!"
Wednesday stopped with the simple tongues of fire, now the flames spring free from her hands and spread all around her, but once again, Professor Silivieri using only the magic of air that created vacuum spots around the girl preventing the flames and heat from even affecting her surroundings.
"IF YOU WANT THE WHOLE WORLD TO RECOGNIZE, RESPECT AND FEAR YOU FOR YOUR NAME! IF YOU WANT THE NAME OF WEDNESDAY ADDAMS TO SURPASS THAT OF THE ENTIRE ADDAMS FAMILY!"
The flames become even more intense and the first sparks begin to escape the young prof's control and burn the surroundings. Enid is increasingly afraid, not so much for herself, but for Wednesday and especially for the professor's words, how does he know such things, Wednesday secretly confessed to her one night during one of their usual moonlit picnics, Wednesday's dream, besides becoming a writer, was to rise above her last name, she wanted people not to fear her (the normals) or respect her (the outcasts) for what her family did, she wanted Wednesday's name to be on everyone's lips, she wanted to start a new lineage of which she and Enid would be the progenitors, to which the Addams surname would only frame.
The professor begins to move forward, with a slow, steady pace without the violet flames even touching him.
"THEN CONTROL YOUR ANGER, FORGET ABOUT PRIDE AND STIFLE YOUR EGO, FOR ONLY THEN WILL YOU HAVE TRUE POWER!"
Wednesday crossed her eyes with Enid; she had heard the teacher's words but paid no heed to them until her companion's gaze gave her back that mental clarity to totally understand what the teacher said.
The witch who had her arms completely wide open closes them to her chest clenching her fists, and in the same instant both the flames and the storm totally disappear. The girl is out of breath, not realizing that the prof has approached her until the prof puts a hand on his shoulder.
"Good for the first lesson, but we should work a lot on your self-control."
After Wednesday nods at him, the prof passes her until she turns the corner, where he is confronted by the principal.
"Very eventful as a first lesson."
"I had to understand, you knows what I'm doing here..."
The wise principal nods before turning and beginning to walk away.
"I kept everything safe for this time, but next time, you should conduct the lesson in a safer place."
Mark nods and starts walking as well.
"He will be made, principal."
Once the principal disappeared into the other hallway and the young man found himself alone, a tear ran down his face.
"Mom...how I miss you."

The teacher had now turned the corner, and Wednesday felt free to make herself fall to the floor sitting down; there had been few times when she had felt truly helpless, but the pressure put on her by seeing all her flames extinguished with such ease made her realize that no matter how young and idiotic her teacher was, he was not to be underestimated.
She has not yet caught her breath when she finds herself enveloped in the breaches of a werewolf too agitated to remember her superhuman strength.
"Enid....not breathing."
Enid pulls her away vigorously and then taps her shoulder.
"Ouch! What was that for!"
"It was because you are an idiot Wednesday Addams, setting yourself literally on fire and flames against a teacher, you should have realized he was doing it on purpose to provoke you!"
Wednesday struts, the prof could have provoked her a hundred different ways but chose the worst.
"He was staring at you the whole time with that languid look...."
"Yes, it's true he was staring at me too much, but it wasn't a languid look, or at least, it didn't look like it to me."
Enid looks away.
"It still made you uncomfortable, though, and that's enough for me!"
Wednesday takes Enid's hands in hers, causing the girl to bring their gazes to meet again.
"Enid you must understand that my love for you is the most dangerous weapon in this world."
The young Addams pushes forward and rests her forehead against Enid's.
"Then I don't expect to have many live guests at our wedding."
Both girls laugh before exchanging a tender kiss.
Enid stands up, puts her hands on her hips and looks at Wednesday with a look that should seem serious.
"Now come on let's go! We have pages to translate!"
Wednesday also stands up, in a more composed and elegant manner.
"I remind you that the principal took away our books and sealed the Belladonna library.
Enid grins evilly and Wednesday bends her face in curiosity at her companion.
"You should trust technology more."
Enid unlocks her phone by showing the still-open camera and then the gallery with some of the photographed pages.
"Enid anytime you want it, you're such a genius."
The she-wolf leans in for another kiss, but nearly collapses on the floor when Wednesday takes the phone from her hands instead and sets off sped toward their room.
