The next day Zuko was walking down the palace halls, making his way down to the garden that him and his mother used to bond and talk in. While he was walking he heard a familiar voice call out to him, "hey Zuzu wait!" His sister Azula called out. Zuko turned to her and scowled, "what do you want?" He asked her, when she caught up to him she started to talk. Azula talks a lot, and her brother finds it quite annoying, "I heard that Father cut off all of your training" she giggled at the thought.
Zuko only ignored her, he learned that if he ignores his sister she gets on his nerves less. "It's because he finally saw that training you was a waist of time isn't it!" She laughed louder, he tried his best to ignore her but he couldn't and he lashed out "how would you know! You know nothing!"
He stormed off forgetting about going to the garden and was now walking towards his room, but stopped when he saw servants moving his things out of his room. He walked up to them and demanded to know what they were doing, one of the servants had told him he was to room with the Fire Lord. Zuko was shocked, sharing a room with his father, why? Zuko knows better then to disturb his father when he was busy, especially since he's in a war meeting at the moment.
He sat outside in the garden, he sat against a tree in silence, a peaceful silence that was now ruined by his uncle Iroh. The boy looked at the older man who was sitting next to him, "how much do I look like mother?" He asked, Iroh only sighed and met Zuko's gaze. "You are a spitting image of your mother, you must be careful Prince Zuko, I believe your father thinks you are your mother."
Iroh looked at the prince and moved his gaze to the sky "join me for tea, will you?" He asked. Zuko smiles and nodded "of course uncle." They both got up and made their way inside and towards the kitchen where Zuko helped his uncle; help meaning that Iroh did all of it since Zuko kept dropping tea cups. They both sit at a small circle table sipping on jasmine tea, a tea they both enjoyed. "Uncle, do you know why father had cut off my training?" Zuko asked setting his tea cup down, Iroh set his cup down as well. "I don't know prince Zuko, my brother is a very complicated man" is all he could say and it's all he is going to say.
Later that day Zuko started to practice his fire bending in secret making sure that no one will notice, the only person who does know is Iroh as he's the one who is training him; against his will of course(no one wants to disobey Fire Lord Ozai). Iroh has only left him alone to bring him some relaxing tea, when he had retuned he found Zuko siting on the ground exhausted. "This is enough training for today, we will continue tomorrow." Iroh gave Zuko the tea and they both sat in silence, "I want to thank you uncle" Zuko said with a huff.
That night Zuko was making his way to his old room when his father had stopped him, "where are you going?" Zuko looked up at him, he was scared that he had done something wrong, that he was caught training. "I'm heading to bed, father" he said quietly not wanting to anger his father. "You are gong the wrong way my son" he put a firm hand on the princes shoulder and led him to his bed chambers. "Remember, you are to sleep here with me, this will be our room." Ozai had said the last part lowly, and watched as Zuko would awkwardly change from his day clothes to his night clothes. Zuko found it embarrassing that Ozai refused to let Zuko change alone, by the time he was finished his face was flushed with a bright pink witch made Ozai smile.
That night Zuko had a hard time trying to fall asleep, t didn't help that Ozai had him pressed against his chest and ran his fingers through his long hair. "You should wear your hair down more often" Ozai mumbled tiredly. Zuko could feel his fathers hands run across his: chest, arms, and back, he was really uncomfortable.
