Most of my hobbies have gone down the drain
Dealing with not working medication
There is simply
No easy fix
For several things happening at once

Haven't been writing
Did not return to school yet
Not ready
Only photography ever present
Many books gathering dust

37th birthday came and went
Nothing special this year
Just an age
Had a few dinners with friends

Wish things were different
But right now
Solely focusing on health
Everything can and will wait
Even school

Fighting an inner war with self
To get to a post Hoover Dam collapse
Where emotions weren't overwhelming
Life continued, regardless of how different

Must keep those that support me around
And those that don't, should be left by the side of the road
One step, one inch at a time

Continuing to work with therapist

To remember to fight for motivation
Moving forward without looking back
With the passage of time
Everything and everyone will heal

There is no easy fix
But I will never stop fighting
Until all the negativity and poor health
Is behind me,
Once and for all
