To my own delight

I am indeed, 4

Not in human
Or even soul years
But in Rebirthday years
Another 365 passed to welcome this
Celebration of Life

Every year that takes me
Further and further
Away from the day
A miracle happened
Ensures that my mission
In remission continues

I will never be cured
But I am blessed
More than anyone can really know
Or understand

Things that many take
For granted like walking
Breathing, eating, showering
Simple things really
Are gifts, precious ones to me

Today is August 2nd
Another 365 has begun until
My half decade mark
I very much look forward to it
And 100 more
