(Chapter Tweny-Seven)
(Hermes)
''What do I have to see?" I asked Jaycee when she dragged me out into the woods.
She turned to me and wrapped her arms around my neck, ''Because it feels like we only been living in your world. My world, its important to.''
''I know. . .but seeing you shift? I asked. ''It's going to be strange.''
''It's magic, remember?" she asked. ''I have been spending so much time in your world, it feels like I've been forgetting mine. I gotta stick to my roots and I haven't had on a good run in awhile since you've been making me chase you.''
''So I'm suppose to wait here for you while you run?" I asked.
''Well my cousins are out here to, you can go find the girls and gossip with them.'' she chuckled. ''No magic though, my cousins might attempt to attack.''
''Why don't we go somewhere and make out.'' I suggested as I kissed her. ''Sounds more fun.''
''Because I'm a wolf, we run.'' she said and there was a howl from somewhere. She groaned, ''That was Ace, he's getting annoyed. I should hurry.'' she said as she steps back, holding my hand in hers. ''Better be here when I get back.''
''I think I would get lost if I did leave. Witches and Warlocks hates wood--unless your Earthly, the nature freaks ones.'' I said and she chuckled, wrapping her hand behind my neck and leaned up, kissing my cheek.

I pressed my back against the tree roughly when I saw a dark color fur wolf appear behind me and I turned, expecting it to be Jaycee brown, tan, and white mix would but it wasn't. I couldn't help giving him a look, like I didn't like him. I didn't mean to and the look pissed the wolf off because he growled at me.
Even knowing this wolf was actually human, I couldn't help freak out a little and ready a spell for attack if he tired anything.
Then the wolf quickly stood up, changing into a human. He had dark curly brown hair and resembled one if Jaycee's uncle. Question is which one? Shay or Tristan?
''So you're witch boy.'' he said, walking towards me and I was trying to answer that but it felt all awkward with him naked. He laughed, ''In this family, you better get use to the human body, witch boy.''
''Micah, leave him alone.'' Jaycee appeared and she blushed since she was in her sports bar and underwear. ''Use the right word for him.''
''Warlock seems so--Harry Potter.'' Micah said before three other wolves ran up, changing into humans.
''I agree.'' the oldest looking one said. ''How weird witches look so normal. I expected some goth looking kid, Jaycee.''
''Shut up, Nikki.'' Jaycee said. ''I told you all not to follow me out here.''
''We wanted to meet him. Not everyday a witch joins the family.'' another boy said.
''Warlock!" Jaycee said stubbornly. ''And Ace, you're technically a warlock to.''
''My dad was right.'' the youngest looking one said as he chuckled. ''Look at his hair, I'm sure it was white as a kid. Ya'll kids are going to be the only blondes.''
''Shut up Ray.'' Jaycee said, ''Okay, look, you all met so--''
''No, he barley spoke!" Micah said. ''And truthfully, he seems real stuck up. Did you see the look he gave me?"
''You surprised him! And you all are naked! Come around when you have clothes on.'' she said, walking over in front of me. I actually looked away because right now was not a good time to be staring at her ass when her cousins were around. ''Hermes, say hi.'' she said when she grabbed my shirt and pushed me in front of her.
"Hey.'' I said awkwardly.
We heard squealing from behind them and we saw two girls running over to Micah and Nikki. ''I beat you!" the one in Micah arms said. ''I want my sixty dollars, Karina!"
"Not far! You know these woods better then me.'' the other girl said and they both turned to look at me. How'd it go from two people to a whole group?
''Is this the guy with the name you said that's weird?" The first girl asked Micah and he awkwardly chuckled.
''Taylor, that's rude.'' Micah said, ''Yes, that's Hermes.''
''Hmm, how lucky you got Jaycee. He's cute.'' Karina said and Nikki huffed out his nose heavily, giving her a look. ''Don't give me that look Nikolai! Like you didn't say Cleo was cute when Ace met her.''
''I said it in as a compliment!" he said.
''And I can't do the same?" she asked.
''No! He's a guy! You can never say another guy cute or I'll have to kill him.'' he said and Jaycee wrapped her arms around me from behind me tightly.
''Let's not go that far.'' Jaycee said.

(Jaycee)
"I still say this a bad idea.'' Hermes said as we waited in the coffee shop for Cody. ''You take me out in the woods to meet your wolfy cousins who hate me and now Cody?"
''They don't hate you. They just don't know you.'' I said as I wrapped my arm around his and rested my head on his right shoulder. ''I'm sure one day when I meet the rest of your family they won't like me. Your mom already hate me.''
He brought his other hand up, touching my face, ''Right, I need to have a more open mind. I've just gotten use to people liking me the last few years.''
''Hermes, trust me when I say this spell won't be as bad as you think.'' I said. ''I'm more strong then you think.''
''It's not you I'm really worried about. Cody is Lucinda brother so what if he is lying? This can be some trap.'' he said. ''Black magic is dangerous stuff.''
''What else do you want me to do?" I asked.
''I want you to do it. . .but with help.'' he said. ''A black magic spell is to much for you.''
''You wanna help me?" I asked looking up at him.
''Not me, I'm hardly any help for half the job.'' he said, looking down at me. ''But someone from your family, I was thinking your father.''
I quickly pulled away from him as if he burned me, ''My father? You don't think I'll be able to do it alone.''
''No, I don't.'' he said and it was as if he slapped me. It was worse than being slapped. ''Jaycee, listen to me--''
''Why should I?' I asked, huffing out my nose heavily. ''I want to do it alone, I don't wanna bring my father into this.''
''This is to much work for you.'' he said. ''Your father is willing to do it where someone else might not.''
''I knew you two were talking about this the other day.'' I said coldly. ''Nice to know you don't have faith in me, Hermes.''
He gave me a hard look, ''I care about you, Jaycee, I won't let you do it alone. Why are you so dead set on doing alone? Are you trying to prove something?"
''Prove what?" I asked.
''That your some kind of witch? To prove to me that you can do it without hurting yourself? Prove to Lucinda that your better? Prove to my mom your worth it?" he asked and I glared at him.
''You've been looking in my head, haven't you? I know you have Hermes.'' I said.
''I don't need to.'' he said. ''Jaycee, this is serious. Let your dad help you so you won't hurt yourself. Two seventh generationer against one sixth generationer? It'll be easy and quick. No complications.''
I breathed out my nose as I stared at him. It pissed me off he knew so much and I felt like the naive little girl. I did want to prove I could handle Lucinda by myself. I wanted to prove to Hermes and his mother. But Hermes is right, I won't be able to do it myself. I am risking so much trying to prove a point.
My face softened as I sighed, ''Okay, you're right Hermes.''
He grinned and wrapped his hand behind my neck, pulling me in for a kiss. I smiled after the peck and rested my head on his shoulder. ''I love being right.'' he said and I hit his chest. ''Ow!" he rubbed the spot I hit.
''Serves you right.'' I scoffed.
The bell to the coffee shop rang as the door opened. I sat up as Cody walked over to us and took out a old looking piece of paper from his pocket, ''This spell is old, so it'll work.'' he said.
