"Holy fucking shit," Lana exclaimed when I showed her my text messages from last night. "You wouldn't give the poor boy a chance to flirt with you!"
He clearly wasn't trying to flirt. Or was he? "I don't fucking know!" I almost yelled in reply.
"Hush you," Lana shushed me laughing. "Travis is making you say dirty words already. Wonder what will happen when you two hit it on."
"Oh my God, shut up Lana!" I flushed. I had to call her over that morning to help me with this crisis I was in. I wasn't going to see Travis until monday and I couldn't leave him hanging until then.
"Why haven't you answered?" she asked taking my phone from my hand. The look on her face was something I had dealt with for the past 4 years. I knew what she was thinking and what she was about to do.
"Don't you dare!" I pounced at her to snatch my phone but she was too quick for me.
"There all done!" she grinned proudly and threw me back my phone.
"WHAT THE FUCK LANA?!" I yelled my face turning red. My heart was racing so fast I thought I was going to have a cardiac arrest or something. This was way more humiliating than the goddamn party, why was she doing this to me!
Lana rolled her eyes and plopped back down on my bed. "Oh please, you're just so slow. Pretty boy likes you, just get it over with."
"Ugh," I groaned staring at the screen of my phone and threw it on my bed when I saw the typing icon. "I am not going to school on monday."
"Stop overreacting. You will thank me one day."
"Well that day certainly isn't today." I shot back at her and jumped when my phone pinged. She looked at me as I looked back for a good three minutes.
"Check your phone!" She motioned towards it lying helplessly on my bed. I shook my head vigorously and she face palmed herself. "Fine, I will then."
My phone pinged again and Lana's expression turned weird as she went through my texts with Travis. My heart was going to pop right out of my chest cause it didn't seem good at all.
"What? What did he say!" I shrieked in worry. Lana chuckled without replying and it made me even more worried. "Will you tell me what he said before I die of a heart attack?"
She turned the phone screen for me to see and my jaw dropped open.
"You got a date," Lana winked and I didn't know to die of happiness or embarrassment.
.
.
.
"Ugh, I look way too overdressed." I looked at myself in the mirror with Lana standing right behind me. She looked at me proudly, like a mother looks at her daughter.
"Nonsense," she smiled turning me to face her. "My girl is finally going to get laid."
I gasped and slapped her on the shoulder laughing with her. She had tied my hair into a dutch braid and did my make up too like I was off to meet the matchmaker or something.
"I would never do that on the first date," I shook my head pulling down on my skirt that made me feel like my legs were exposed.
Lana rolled her eyes. "You guys are so slow. Take my advice and go right in. Shove your tongue right down his throat."
"You're disgusting," I grimaced and she chuckled laying back down on my bed. It was 2 pm and Travis had told me he would pick me up in the afternoon.
"Although I still think it would be better to go on a date at night but yeahh," she added lazily.
"Atleast I can make some excuse to go out for a milkshake with you Lana," I explained plopping down on my bed next to her. I couldn't help but admire how confident and beautiful she was. "You know I am not allowed to date."
She sighed staring straight up at the ceiling. "I hope he is nice to you. You deserve that."
"You do too," I said softly. "You deserve a great guy too."
Her head turned to look at me with a sad smile. It hurt me to think she wouldn't confide in me with whatever was bothering her. I could tell something was on her mind. "Thanks Azari."
My phone pinged and it was a text from Travis telling me he was outside. I was really nervous suddenly and thought about changing my mind.
"Oh no no," Lana exclaimed jumping to her feet. "You arent getting yourself out of this!"
I groaned like a baby as she pulled me to my feet with my arms. Quickly, I texted to tell him I would be out in a few minutes. We rushed down the stairs to see my mom and dad sitting in the living room having their afternoon tea.
"Where are you girls off to?" Mom smiled as soon as she saw us.
"Oh, we're just going to go grab some milkshakes at Mcdonalds," I lied. I totally lied again.
"Yeah, Azari is really thirsty for milkshake," Lana snickered throwing her arm around my shoulder. God, she had to make everything dirty or sexual.
"Have fun girls," my dad said taking a sip of his tea. We both waved and ran out the front door. I was worried Noah would find out and would demand to tag alone destroying my date with Travis.
Travis had parked his car two houses away so mum and dad wouldn't see him, as per my instructions. He was waiting outside for me, us, Lana and I. My heart did some cartwheels inside my chest when I saw how impeccable he looked. His golden hair was glittering in the sunlight and there wouldn't be a better view.
"Hi," he greeted me softly extending his arm out to me. Screw me for debating in that moment whether to take his hand or not, in my head. I could feel Lana roll her eyes so hard behind me. That girl had no patience at all.
Sparks fly by Taylor Swift started playing in the back of my head when I took Travis's hand. It was warm and strong sending shivers up my arm. I wasn't used to this intimate feeling especially with the way he was looking at me with his gleaming gray eyes.
He softly pulled me closer with my hand towards the passenger door.
"You know I am not invisible Travis," Lana teased smirking at the both of us making me glare at her.
"Oh hi," he flushed rubbing the back of his neck with his other hand and in that moment I became aware of how his hand was still clasping mine.
Lana shrugged with a grin and opened the backdoor of the car hopping inside. Travis gave me a weird look which i translated to What the fuck?
"Dont look so disappointed,"Lana snickered. "You just have to drop me home then you guys can continue with doing the nasty."
I gasped. "LANA!"
Travis smiled in reply while I was flushing like an idiot. "Yes maam."
After we dropped Lana off, I realized that I was regretting my decision of being alone with him in the car. My nerves were getting the better of me and his aura, his vibes were suddenly infusing themselves into me.
"You okay, babe?" He eyed me with a concerned look as his warm hand touched my knee sending electric currents through my veins.
"Where are we going?" I asked him softly, trying to ignore the feel of his palm on my leg, and small smile curved onto his plump lips. Gosh, why was I looking at his lips? Was I sweating? God knows.
"You'll see," he grinned biting his lower lip glancing at me like he was really excited to show me something. I gulped, blushing.
