School wasn't so boring anymore. I had something to look forward to instead of just getting an A on my tests. Yes, you guessed it. Travis.

As cheesy or cliche it sounds, I was totally head over heels falling for him. Of course, after my date with him over the weekend, Lana bombarded me with texts to disclose 'juicy details' to her as she put it.

But the best part was whenever I caught him looking at me in math class, he would flash me the cutest smile I had ever seen. Math was something i was already shit at and I figured this term I was going to end up failing.'

"What the fuck are you blushing about?" Jay finally talked to me during detention that day. Well, while the rest of the kids including Jenny were discussing about plans for Winter Formal, they literally decided to ignore me and keep me out of all their discussions. Jay didn't seem like he cared at all so unfortunately I ended up sitting next to him every time.

"its none of your business," I muttered not looking at him. I knew I was probably blushing too hard reading Travis's texts.

Travis: I miss you already.

Azari: Aw, me too.

Travis: You sure you can't sneak out and grab some ice cream with me?

Azari: That's very tempting.

Travis: I know what my girl likes ;)

My heart exploded at MY GIRL. He called me his girl.

"Earth to Azari," Jay poked my side making my attention divert towards him.

"Hey what the f--," I almost yelled out.

"SHHH," Juniper frowned at us holding out one earphone from her ear.

"sorry," I mouthed at her as she shook her head.

"Who are you texting?" Jay asked again trying to peek over my shoulder.

"Get off," I shoved him away. "So now you suddenly talk to me?"

He smirked. "Aw, were you trying to get my attention?"

"No," I snorted. "I am texting my boyfriend." My tummy did a weird twist as I said that. Travis. My boyfriend. I could feel myself flushing again and this time I wasn't embarrassed about it.

"Since when do you have a boyfriend?" Jay sat up with that, and squinted at me.

"Uhh, been a few days," I said thoughtfully trying to count it had been 4 days since my date with Travis.

"Who?"

"What?"

"Who is it?"

I was taken aback by his question. "Why do you care?"

"I don't. Maybe," he stuck out his tongue, between his teeth.

His expression made me smile, "You're so cheeky."

He shrugged. "Is it that Travis kid?"

My heart started to race at the mention of his name. That was the effect he had on me. Just his name.

Before I could even reply, Jenny interrupted us with a grim look on her face.

"If you two are done gossiping like little girls, could you help us with some ideas for the Winter Formal?" she had her hands on her hips as she stood across the table.

"Yeah, this isn't the lunch table," Bryce the student body president, muttered adjusting glasses.

Jay scoffed. "Oh shut up."

"JAY!" Jenny gasped and he rolled his eyes going back to his phone. I could sense the tension between them and I didn't like it all. Sitting among them, I felt invisible once again. I was reminded of how I didn't belong here and someone like Jay would never even be friends with me.

Gloomily, I trotted out the seminar hall feeling exhausted from that worthless detention, meeting, volunteering, or whatever in the world it was supposed to be. It was four pm and I checked my phone to see a few texts from my brother, Noah, a missed call from mom and Travis. Making my way out the school hall, to grounds I called back my mom telling her I would be on my way home soon.

"Playing hard to get now, are ya?" I heard a familiar voice say while my head was immersed into my phone. Looking up, I saw the perfect pair of gray eyes staring at me. In that moment, I realized how easy it was to fall for someone like him.

"No, no, I was just texting my brother," I stammered feeling my flush coming on. Travis chuckled leaning in and placing a soft kiss on my lips making my heart leap. The way he was so gentle with me made me want to unleash my wild side on him. But I was never going to tell him the things I imagined with him.

"So how were you planning to head home?" he asked running his hand through his perfect golden hair and I swear my mouth watered at how delicious he looked. Travis was doing things to me I couldn't even comprehend and it had been like what few days we had started to go out. If he knew, I bet he would be miles away from me and not just a few centimeters like he was right now.

I shrugged nervously. "Uber. My brother took my car."

"Well, I am not uber but I could drive you home," Travis grinned graciously. I couldn't drive home alone with him cause I couldn't risk my mom or dad seeing me come home with a boy.

"Oh, no I don't want to bother you," I said nervously fidgeting and playing with the strap of my bag.

"Awe come on Azari," he frowned. "You're my girlfriend, I would love taking you home."

I gulped at the word girlfriend. My girlfriend.

opened my mouth to answer but stopped when I noticed Travis's eyes darting towards someone behind me.

"Hey Jay," Travis waved at him with a smile and I felt him walk up to us.

"Hey," Jay said glumly and an awkward air suddenly hit me. The smile disappeared from Travis's face when he noticed what I did, Jay's dark expression like he was really mad. "Do you need a ride?"

What the fuck?

"No," I said quickly to Jay and Travis looked relieved when he nodded in reply.

Jenny caught up to Jay and I was glad he walked off before she could communicate with us.

I was stuck in my little daze, watching them walk away from us when Travis grabbed my hand making my jump.

"Sorry," he chuckled and gently squeezed my hand. "Shall we go?"

I nodded biting my lower lip to keep myself from smiling. "We shall."

He led me to his car and as i got onto the passenger a wave of familiarness filled me up reminding me of our first date together.

Travis slid behind the steering wheel and turned on the engine. "You know I can feel you looking," he grinned.

I melted with embarrassment when I realized I was actually gawking at him with my mouth drooling. Not literal drooling but it was how I felt. "Sorry I-I j-just.."

Travis moved his mouth onto mine and kissed me graciously. He tasted so incredible and I was suddenly scared that no one else in the world could ever taste like him. My heart started to race, my hands started to tremble, my knees felt weak as I felt his hand slide to my back pulling me close to him.

I could feel his warmth through his shirt and unknowingly I placed my hand over his chest to feel his heartbeat. It was racing as fast as mine was and I couldn't help but smile through our kiss. Travis moved his lips to my jaw kissing it softly giving me goosebumps.

A knock on his car's window made us jump away from each other. The face I saw on the other side of the glass made me want to die. I was dead.

Travis lowered the window and the person said, "Azari, what in the world are you doing here?"

"H-hi m-mom," I stuttered noticing at how she was fuming. Travis shifted uncomfortably at her gaze and now I knew I had to invite him to my funeral instead.
