Trailer Plot: It was the year 3006 and all technology on Earth has increasingly advanced over the years, creating robots, flying cars, drones, etc. The world continued to advance over the years, thanks to special materials from the exoplanet called Copper 9. Our main protagonist of the story; Kai 'Mega' Yoshida, is a young 17 year old boy who loves his planet, making new friends, and world peace. Kai doesn't really like war and pain, as it always brings sadness. Back on Earth, Kai was an orphan, having his parents died in a car crash. He soon met a girl his age, named Roll. They both have been besties for years. When both Kai and Roll were 8 years old, they were soon adopted by a man who goes by Dr.Light, who is a brilliant scientist and plans to have a big and bright future for all life one day. Years went by and both Roll and Kai have been living with Dr.Light on the exoplanet called Copper 9 and life has been very peaceful for them. However, everything came crashing down when Kai got into an accident, having most of his body and organs heavily damaged beyond repair.

Both Dr.Light and Roll were extremely horrified and worried for Kai, especially the young girl who developed a huge crush on Kai when they spent their life together. Kai was slowly dying and Dr.Light was running out of time to think of a solution to save him, until an idea hit him. Without any other choice, Dr.Light decided to save Kai by transforming hin into a cyborg. However, this could take years, maybe even decades before he will be completed and Dr.Light knows he won't be there to see him alive once again. Hearing this, Roll refused to live the rest of her life without Kai, growing old without him. So, Roll begged Dr.Light to transform her into a Cyborg as well, telling the doctor how she really felt about Kai and refusing to live without him. Dr.Light was very hesitated at first, but gave in and agree to turn Roll into a cyborg like Kai. A full year has passed by and Dr.Light spend a lot of time making both Kai and Roll into cyborgs, but not just any cyborgs as he wants them to have the ability to protect themselves. However, he was never even close to finish as an accident happened on Earth, destroying the core and wiping all life and the same would happen on Copper 9 in a few moments. Still transforming Kai and Roll into cyborgs, he sealed them both deep underground in his secret lab, having his super computer do the rest until they are completed, but not before recording a final goodbye before his death.

A century has passed and both Kai and Roll awakens from their deep slumber and their transformation has been completed. Kai doesn't remember much what happened, but Roll was extremely happy to see Kai alive again. They both also noticed that the lab was extremely damaged and when they went outside, where both horrified to see that the world they knew and love is gone. With no other choice, together they decided to survive and later discovered they both have been upgraded to a very powerful machine. However, on their journey they will never be entirely as robots, or known as drones, are the new lifeforms on the planet. The drones will definitely be in a huge surprise when they meet surviving humans, especially since they are now cybernetic. Unknown to Kai, he'll definitely capture the metal hearts of other drone girls, much to Roll's jealousy. Look out new world, a new mega hero is here!

Just to be clear, the story of Murder Drones confuses me to no end. I haven't watched it yet, but I can't seem to figure out the plot of the story. The "story explained videos" and google ain't helping. I'm so lost. Is Copper 9 a literally a planet or what? Is Earth where the drones live? Can someone explained? I might change the plot of this story if I get more information.
