PASSING TIME

Three months ago, All the vampires entered Andy's mansion and they were surprised to see my sister breaking. Different whispers and cries overwhelmed the whole room. There were 20 minutes remaining and everybody was afraid to die - especially those who had died multiple of times already. They're horrified to the very fact that Andy will not wake up.

Time continued ticking and there were 2 minutes remaining. The place was in a tense condition. Everybody's breathing was in a rush like they're not prepared for this situation. Nobody expected her FATE to suddenly change in a blink of an eye.

"Uncle, will mommy still wake up?" Tiffany shoved to my shoulders crying intensely. what do I tell my niece then? That everything's going to be okay or do I tell her to prepare herself. I pat her head slowly.

"Don't worry Tiffany, Dae and Jun are trying their best to save her. To save us. So don't worry. Everything's going to be alright." What the hell was I saying? I don't know for sure aswell. I also have this tint of doubt that she won't wake up. But... I don't want to lose hope... I want to see my sister's smiling face, not this cracking state she is in.

Elli touched my shoulder and I could see her tears being held back. She smiled with a painful look. "Everything's definitely going to wake up Noa. I know she will." Her voice was shaky but I felt her determination. "Stay strong Noa. You're the council leader so you must not break down."

She was right. I breathe really deep. "You're right. Thanks, Elli" I held her hand and smiled warmly to her. I stood up and looked at the vampires. "Let's not lose hope everyone. My sister will definitely... definitely wake up.." Everybody looked at me with tearful eyes. And slowly, they smiled with still tears on their eyes. I don't want them to feel down.

There was a minute left and everybody was panicking in their heads. It was very obvious. I sat on the chair beside Andy's bed and hug my sister tight. Every tick the grandpa clock made was making my blood boiled... please wake up... that's all in my head. I looked at the clock... 5 seconds remaining...

I closed my eyes... Prepared that my breath would suddenly stop. Then 5 seconds passed, all the vampires started making gasping sounds. I opened my eyes to take a peek... The light blinded me... It was coming from Andy... I looked at her carefully and all her cracks suddenly started fading away. What in the vampire's law is happening?!

Everybody was in awe that moment. Then the light faded out. Her skin... was paler than her original state! I slowly approached her and Tiffany was at my back holding my shirt tightly. I reached my hand out to feel her pulse. Touching her wrist. There was NOTHING. I looked at the vampires. "She's got no pulse and we're alive," I said in a really low manner. Elli came rushing to my side, "Is she really?" She also touched her wrist then her neck to feel any veins thumping. She smiled. "It's true everyone."

Then we saw them hugging each other. They were crying again, but not in fear or sadness but in relief and happiness.

"You see Tiffany? Jun and Dae succeeded." I smiled to my niece and she hugs me tight. She then ran to Andy's side and held her hand tight. Then she shouted, "Mommy is awake!"

Everything went fast. I hug my sister and she still felt like the usual her. She was smiling happily and the vampires were all relieved with everything. She changed everyone's fate. Then Dae and Jun entered. Jun gave me a sign telling me "I told you killing her physically won't do any good." So I just ordered that everybody leave the room for the two lovebirds. As I close the door, everybody smiled at me and started saying their goodbyes and hope to see us again. They're all contented and happy to be alive... still vampires...

I left Tiffany to Elli who said she'll stay in the mansion. I got in my Porsche and headed to Lord Kei's mansion deep deep deep in the woods. My happiness took over the time of travelling. I ran inside. "You stupid old man. There was another option!" I threw the dagger he gave me to the floor. "But you made your resolve even a little right?" Lord Kei laughed at me and picked the dagger.

"Yeah. Guess I should thank you for a bit."

"Can you at least set me free?" He grinned.

"Nope. Laws are laws... You've just got to wait for a year then you're free right? Well, after the tests and all to be conducted."

"Yeah right. You should be thinking of what you're going to do with the Fieldgem daughter. You like her, don't you?"

"Who knows. I'm going to go now. See you on your free day." I bade him goodbye and got in my Porsche again. When I got home, the maids have prepared food and the lovebirds were already there. I change my attire and went to the dining hall. I saw Andy and Jun sitting side by side and Elli and Tiffany on the other. I sat in the middle.

"Hey brother. Where did you suddenly run off to?" Andy giggled.

"Just around... How are you feeling?"

"Umm... Just a little wobbly with my stiff legs. But I'll manage... Jun's going to help me." she turned to him. "Right?"

"Yeah," and the two was giving off this lovers atmosphere.

"Mommy, Is he going to be my daddy?" Tiffany suddenly raised that question and everybody looked embarrassed.

"I don't know Tifa. I think you better ask him yourself.."

And we all laughed as Tiffany was left looking curious with us. Who knows what would happen next. I looked at Elli and she was smiling warmly then she turned and our eyes met. We both looked in different directions. Was I blushing? I covered my face.

"I think something smells fishy between you two," Andy said chuckling.

After that long 3 months, I am happy that everybody is getting along well. Vampires can co-exist with humans and they have started to accept me as the council leader. Well, we continued laughing and laughing together. I hope every day will be like this and I pray to my parents, Andy's parents, everybody's parents and relatives, and Lady Saneel that they watch over us from the heavens and protect the whole vampire race from unexpected misfortunes....

I'll do my best as the council leader...

I'll protect everyone to the fullest of my life... even if it takes a whole lifetime...
