FOR THE LAST TIME

Dae's dad was still gripping horribly on my neck and I was ready to die... and maybe meet up with Jun on the other side. The sight of the dagger with his blood was already killing me... How much more when he pierces it to me. I closed my eyes...

Thud!

I fell to the floor. My lungs suddenly felt lighter as I felt air enter my body and blood circulated inside my veins. I opened my eyes and saw Dae piercing a sword to his father. When did he?

"I told you not to touch her!" He injected the sword deeper into his father's chest. Dae's dad raised his arm and I saw him going to strike the dagger with his thick blood in it. "Watch out Dae!" But my voice was too late, Dae was struck at his back and both are experiencing poisons in their bodies. Father and son were poisoning each other. "I'm not letting you live too... Dae" His father's voice wasn't wobbling. They were still composed even though blood started dripping out from his mouth.

"Let's see who's going to die first then... dad.." Dae's voice sounded assured that he's going to win. Why... Dae pushed the sword more as his dad stepped backwards and he hit the wall. The man is now stuck with the sword piercing his body to the wall. Dae grabbed his dad's arms and crushed it. He was able to walk away but he fell to the floor.

"Hmph. You're going down with me" Dae's dad gave out a loud sinister laugh then suddenly turned silent. I looked straight and saw his face turned paler than an ordinary vampire's colour.

I went to Dae's side. "Why did you do that Dae? You're hurt because of me!" He removed the dagger from his back and leant his face to my shoulder. The place was filled and mixed with different blood scents.... Jun... Dae's... and his father... It was intoxicating... My blood wanted to attack and pierce my fangs to someone... but I was able to fight it as my emotions run deeper and as scars build inside me...

I am the only one to blame for everything...

"Why don't you regenerate yourself Dae?! You still carry vampire blood right?!"

"I wish I could but having poison in my body. That's impossible." He chuckled. "you still got to larn a lot more being a vampire, don't you?"

"You.. you can't die yet Dae!! I still got a lot of things to ask you! My parents.. my family... your reasons... everything.. so please..." I was hugging him now. I've lost Jun and I'm going to loose someone at the same day? This is crap! I felt Dae's hand touch y cheeks. I moved apart to see his face and I still couldn't see his face. "I wish it could be me?" He mumbled.

"Wh-what did you say Dae?" I wasn't able to hear it properly. His hand was getting colder and I hold on to it as he was still leaning on my shoulder. He raised his head and looked at my eyes. "For the last time... please let me do something selfish."

"Eh?"

And suddenly, out of the blue... His hands held my hair and pulled it to his face. I was surprised when his lips were touching mine. I tried moving backwards but his hand kept holding my hair. Is this what he meant by being selfish. But I don't want this!!! He may be wounded but I love Jun! My lips are for Jun alone!

"Ahh!" I bit his lips so he would back away and he did. I slapped his face - well my instinct overwhelmed me. "You should be thankful I did that" Dae chuckled as he was wiping his blood. "Why did you do hat Dae?!" I was wiping my lips.

"Give me your hands!" He ordered me.

"NO!" I tried resisting but even the bleeding Dae was still too strong for me. He grabbed my hand and placed it on his wounds. "Heal me."

"What are you saying, you moron?! I may have become a vampire but I still carry the body of a human! And I got no healing powers!" I really had no powers so I did become defensive back there. "Relax Andy. You can do it. I have unlocked you... My purpose of being the son of the stars has been fulfilled... So please... listen to what I am saying." His eyes were dead serious and I could feel his blood oozing out of his body.

"Why should I listen to you?! You kissed me suddenly though you know I have Jun and now you're expecting me to listen to what you're saying?!" I snapped.

"You want him to open his eyes right?" He pointed his eyes to Jun's direction and I could see the cold state of his body. "Yes." I was like a puppy who suddenly become soft.

"Just do as I say today and I'll tell you everything about you, your past, present and future....Ugh" his hands gripped tighter to me and his expression turned paler and painful. "Dae?"

"Please, Andy... I can't handle the poison for much longer... so please... listen... listen to the voice within your heart..." his grip became a little loose and I could see he was in so much pain. Think fast, Andy! Do I do as he says? I looked back to Jun and his face was still the same. Maybe it's not too late yet.

"Fine!" I inhaled and exhaled really deep and closed my hand touching Dae's wounds. Listen to the inner voice within my heart eh? Does he think it's easy to do? Easy for him to say. I don't know how to do this. I got no background of healing and having powers is not my ego. All I could see is darkness.

Ting!

I heard Saneel's bell and a little light sparkle as my eyes remained closed. I felt really silent. Ting! The sound of the bell continued vibrating to my ears. My breathing was in line with the sound of the bell.

"What do you wan to do with Dae?" A voice spoke to me. But it's not Saneel's voice. It sounded like my own voice.

"Where are you?" The surroundings became the sight I once saw... The pool of blood... I in the middle and the other me was staring back at me. "Wh-why am I here?" I looked at her and she pointed my chest. "My heart?"

She smiled. Not the scary smile she did once but a smile giving warmth and assurance that everything is going to be fine.

"Tell me... What are you going to do with Dae?" Okay. She's asking me again.

"I want to heal him. I want to help him and heal Jun too."

"Then why are you not doing it? You are too powerful all ready to heal them." Is she my inner voice? 

"I would if I know how to. Dae just told me to close my eyes and listen to the voice within my heart."

"Then... Can you hear the voice? Why are you hesitating from yourself?"

"Tell me what to do! Stop making me confused! Please! I got not much time."

"Hold my hand and think of healing him. But let me warn you that once you start healing anybody.. a vampire or a human. Your power will consume you. You will then start healing more people not thinking of yourself. Your power will consume you to the slightest part of you. Are you prepared to face the consequences?" She offered her hand.

I swam towards her hand and grab it. "If this could be the only way to be with the people I care then it doesn't matter if this power consumes me."

"Then when you touch the injury or wound of someone... Just think of healing them. That's all you have to do. Take care and remember my warning."

And with the blink of an eye, I was back facing Dae again and he was in so much pain. "Ahh! Hang in there Dae!" I touched his wounds carefully and breathe deeply. I got to think of healing him. I can do this. Just relax Andy and think of healing him. My hands were trembling but slowly... light appeared under my hands and the skin started compressing itself and it regenerated itself! The light disappeared and I touched the wound. It was back to his normal skin now!

"Oh! Thank goodness!" I breathe freely.

"You did great Andy. Now it's his turn." Dae started moving back but it looks like pain hasn't dispersed his body. I turned to Jun and crawled to his side. I touched his face and he was really cold. I missed his face so much...

I placed my hands on his chest and took a deep breath. He has a lot of wounds and I want to heal him.

Ta-thump! Ta-thump!

Something hurt inside me. It doesn't matter. I want to heal Jun. I want him to wake up! And again... light appeared under my hands and scars on his body slowly disappears... Maybe I'm at my limit for today? I don't want to stop now! Jun's biggest wound was starting to regenerate. When all his wounds were fine, the light disappeared again.

I sighed in relief that I was able to hold on until the end but I feel really tired. I was holding Jun's hand on my chest and suddenly... his hand held my cheeks. Was he awake?

His eyes opened but it was different. He had a vampire's stare and it was scary.. he wasn't the usual him. HE wasn't the Jun I saw before. He squeezed my body tight and I didn't mumble. I closed my eyes to feel his frozen body.

"Ahh!" I screamed when I felt fangs pierce my neck. I become really hot as he drank my blood. I gripped on his tattered clothes because of how painful yet exciting it was. It was an extraordinary feeling. I didn't know that his bite could be this sweet. But it feels like he won't stop!

"S-stop it Jun! It hurts!" But he didn't break apart. He continued drinking my blood. "Help me Dae! Jun... Jun is not himself!!" I shouted and I saw Dae trying to separate Jun from me. "What is this guy? He's too strong!" Dae couldn't separate Jun's fangs from me.

"Ahhhh!!" It hurts a lot! I can't take it anymore! I snapped and I lost consciousness.....

What happened to him....
