The train finally arrived. I bid farewell to the granny parting ways.

I stood in the middle of the park as a lot of people past through me. All the strangers brush their ways and I could see their eyes looking to different directions. What is the world anyway? Humans don't even notice vampires like me walking with them.

I continued walking around the city but no idea where Jun would be.

"Hey missy" I turned around and a guy grabbed my arm. "Are you alone?" He grinned.

"Ah! Let me go!" But he dragged me along the sidewalk. He's obviously drunk!

"Someone help!" Why isn't anyone helping me! There are a lot of people around but why! Why are they just walking like nothing is happening here!

"Sorry missy but everyone in this city doesn't care about anyone but themselves" He brought me to a dark alley and pushed me hard to the wall. It didn't hurt much cuz you know, I've got the vampire issue.

His eyes turned red. Another vampire. Another attacker. But I'm in the city so that mystery guy wouldn't save me at all! Why am I so powerless!

"Blood..." the guy's mind was definitely corrupted with the intention to kill.

"Stay back!" I twitched backwards and I hit something on the ground. A metal pole. I grab hold of it and placed in front of me like a sword.

The guy walked towards me as his fangs showed up. I swung the pole to him but he caught it and threw it away. His eyes were still telling me- I WANT BLOOD NOW.

"Such a trouble maker" I was startled. Someone spoke to me but I'm alone with this vampire who's going to kill me!

Thud!

Someone fell from above. My eyes widen when I saw the mystery guy appear again.

The vampire who lost his mind stared at the guy and suddenly started swinging his arms to attack but the guy managed to dodge every hit.

The vampire leapt and was above the guy and scratched the face- making his long bangs fall off. Then the guy got a sword and hit him.

I still couldn't see clearly who he was but as he turned around and...

No way!

He is...

He is... Dae..!

He screeched towards the vampire and struck him. The vampire went hysterical then dead. He laid the body of the vampire down and made some gestures and it disappeared! He saved me again!

"Thanks, Dae., for all this time."

"No problem princess. It's my fate to protect a troublesome girl." He chuckled.

"Hey, what was that suppose to mean? And princess? Drop it will you!"

"Fine. So why are you here in the city? Don't you have any idea how dangerous this place is especially to a person with the position?"

"What do you mean Dae? This place is full of humans so I don't get what you mean."

"Try checking their pulses then."

I couldn't argue anymore. I closed my eyes and took a deep breath to make everything silent. Ba-thump! Ba-thump! I could hear heartbeats but.. not everybody has it! I looked at Dae.

"So you get it now?"

"Yes. There are a lot of vampires in the city. Why didn't I realised that before! I'm such an idiot! Oh yeah, What brings you here Dae?"

"I told you already, saving a troublesome princess" My face pouted.

"Who really are you Dae? Tell me, please!"

He went silent. We were alone in that dark alley and he looked at me with determined eyes and kneeled bowing his head.

"My name is Dae Sakai... 1/4 human and 3/4 vampire.. and I am called as the... son of the stars." My eyes widen when I heard that statement. But Lord Kei said that I would be looking for a human!

"A-are you really the son of the stars?" My voice was wavering. He looked at my eyes.

"Yes. And I know you need my help but fate suddenly changed." He started walking and I followed. His body was composed.

"If I see it right, your master is going to die in 2 days time. We must hurry and give him your blood."

"M--master?Are you talking about Jun? Why would he die?" My mind went blank.

"I'll tell you on the way but for now we must leave this place. More vampires are coming for you."

We got in a car and he started driving.

What is Jun doing!
