Author's POV:

"Kaveri, if you didn't get up and go to bath in five minutes, even I don't know what I'm going to do to you." An ear piercing warning shout has been issued making the other person in the house shivered with chill.

Ramesh, kaveri's father was enjoying his morning tea with usual news channels debates at 7:00 in the morning. But suddenly a high pitched shrill voice passed through his ears in the result of him spilling a little bit of tea on his hands, making him look at the source of noise with a hiss, which was none other than his lovely wife Anitha. He looked at her with an impossible look while shaking his head and get back to his morning Tea and TV with a heavy sigh, as it is the daily occurance in their house. But don't know why he couldn't get used to it and always gets shocked at the moment.

Anitha, mother of kaveri was trying to wake her daughter up from almost an hour with zero results. She single handedly doing all the works alone from the time she got up from her sleep early in the morning, before sun. She loaded the clothes in washing machine then cleaned the house. After that she put potatoes to boil in the cooker to make afternoons curry on one burner and on another burner she put the idly vessel filled with batter to steam.

She hurriedly clean the last night's dirty dishes and then made coconut chutney for the breakfast to be kept with idly. She was washing raw rice to cook when she lost her patience and gave an ultimatum for her daughter to get her lazy ass up, from the kitchen all the way audible to her daughters room. Still there was no response from her daughter, instead she got a reaction from her husband which was he, burning his hand a little bit with the tea he was sipping.

She shook her head in disappointment, she took some curd from fridge and went to her husband.

"As if I have less work, you father and daughter duo always make sure to keep increase my works." She thrown a sarcastic comment regarding to his wound while taking a seat beside him and applied the cool curd on his burn carefully along with an angry glare as a bonus.

"What problem do you have with my daughter. Why don't you let her have a peaceful sleep atleast. She could only enjoy her privileges while staying in her parents home. When she would get married in few years, she would get burdened with her responsibilities of her family and would have no time for herself. So let her enjoy to her liking till she stays with us." Ramesh commented as usual supporting his princess.

"Then her in-laws would make a raucous looking at her behaviour and habits. She was already 21 years, going to graduate in few months and get married. Don't treat her as a five year old. She was becoming like this, only because of your over pampering." She shoots back, which made Ramesh frown listening to his princess getting married so soon.

"Moreover, who told her to not sleep. She would get enough sleep if she doesn't binge watch her k-dramas or whatever it was. She was not sleeping at nights, did you saw her dark circles, she was looking like a zombie. It was your fault to gift a mobile phone for her even before completing her studies." She didn't gave a chance to defend himself and continued making him shut his mouth, otherwise he's going to get a lengthy class from his wife. He knows better than open his mouth to argue.

The cooker whistle went off making Anitha stop her scolding session and ran back to kitchen, making Ramesh release a sigh in relief, thanking the cooker. She removed the cooker from the stove to release the pressure and cool off before she make a curry with boiled potatoes. She put the rice vessel to cook on the stove and went to her daughters room only to see kaveri was sleeping without a care in the world.

The mobile was still in her hand and ear plugs were one in her left ear and one at the back of her neck. Her head was beside the pillow, one pillow was under her leg, the end of blanket was entangled in her legs with most of it fallen to the ground. Her hair was sprawled all over the bed.

Her mom saw her state and shocked with, in which tsunami did her daughter survived last night. She really wanted to gave her a good beating, but doesn't want to wake her one and only child in that manner so controlled herself. She used the last technique to wake her up, which is SWITCHING OFF THE FAN. The fan switch was at the entrance of the door while her daughters bed was at the opposite side. She knows her daughter couldn't live without fan. So she used her ultimate weapon and silently left the room with a smirk.

Within minutes kaveri started to roll and groaned "Amma! Please switch on the fan. Just 5 minutes." With a sleepy voice. Anitha heard that but left it unheard. She gave a challenging look to her husband who tried to get up to help his precious daughter, but took back his designated place with a silence. Power of a mom's glare.

Kaveri got up at last with an angry pout and went to get ready for her college.
