They are born blind as they do not need vision within deep caves. Due to being blind they have no use for colour and as a result they are greys, blacks and whites or if they do have colour it is often faded and dull.

They have a powerful bite which crushes prey.

Due to them being blind they often hold various whiskers to find their way about.

Their spine is very flexible allowing them to squeeze through the tightest of caves.

They hold claws on their front fins to move objects and dig.

They will often move slowly to feel their way about but can pick up speed to escape unexpected attackers.

They have rough, thick skin to survive constant friction against rocky walls.

They often jump to conclusions, first impressions matter.
