Manik and Nandani house

By 5 in evening, Manik reached home. He saw Nandani's car parked in garage which means she is home. He entered the house and immediately went in shock seeing the sight in front of him. The whole kitchen was literally on the floor. Means, all the kitchen stuff was out of there place and were on floor and kitchen counter. His gaze fell on Nandani who was placing few things in cabinet neatly.

Ma: what are you doing? ( shocked)

Na: organising the kitchen.

Ma: but it was not needed. You literally brought all the stuff on floor

Na: really ( forced smiled) mr Manik Malhotra let me tell you that your kitchen is the worst I have ever seen. Koi bhi cheeze kahi par bhi padhi hui h. Spices idhar bhi h( pointing at a drawer below stove) aur idhar bhi ( pointing at a cabinet) aur yeh fridge..( chuckling sarcastically) tumhe iska use nhi pta Kya ?

Ma: aisa kyu bol rhi ho ( confused)

Na: kyuki isme namak rakha hua tha aur aadhi se jyda cheeze expire h

Ma: ( embarrasses) ha_voh...voh..kya h.. 

Na: it's okay Manik ( forced smile) now can I do my work?

Ma: let me help you

Manik immediately move to her, carefully jumping over the stuff and making sure that he does not step on one.Nandani  giggled seeing him like this and then continued her work with him. Though, Manik was just passing her the stuff and Nandani was placing it neatly in cabinet. He noticed that she had brought new container which had a label on them telling the things inside it. One thing was sure, she love neatness and he has to keep it in mind.

Na: Manik just cut these fruits and keep it in this container.

Nandani passed him an orange and apple along with a air tight container. He readily nodded and chopped the fruits. He looked at her who was standing on a ladder to reach the cabinet at the top. She was placing flour and rice packets there. He wanted to talk to her, but was not sure where to start from. Thinking about the ideas to start conversation, he heard her voice.

Na: by the way ( smirking turning towards him, sitting on ladder) how come manik Malhotra send me a follow request!?

Ma: ( trying not to sound nervous) ha__voh__voh_haaa you are my friend so we should follow each other on insta

Na: such a lame reason manik( laughing) Why don't you accept Malhotra that you like me

Manik left flabbergasted listening her. He looked here and there to hide the red hue that spread across his cheeks and nose. Nandani was smirking seeing his reaction. Obviously she knew he likes her, the way he see her and the way he behave around her, it's totally different.

Ma: it's_no_thing__like_th_at ( stammering)

Na: nd I so believe you ( smiling mischievous)

Ma: ( Looking here and there) I need to call someone

Manik hurriedly left from there making Nandani laugh at his antics. She was amazed by the fact, that this is the same Manik Malhotra who is arrogant and rude. But is he !? He is a totally different person around her, just Manik who does childish acts and is very messy.

Next day
At college

Fab5 with Nandani was sitting in canteen. Boys were talking but girls attention was at the entrance. They were waiting for navya. Dhruv noticed that that they were not attentive towards there talk. He gestured Manik and cabir who were also confused by there behaviour today.

Dhr: tum logo ko kya hua ( to girls)

Al: kuch bhi nhi

Ma: aaj itna shant kaise ho tum log phir

Na: bas kuch der wait kro phir dhamaka hoga ( smirking)

Muk: yasss

Cab: aisa kya hone wa...

Cabir couldn't complete his words as his jaw dropped seeing the sight in front of him. Not only him, the whole canteen was silent suddenly. Girls smirk while Manik and Dhruv were confused and they both turn to enterance. Navya entered the canteen, wearing a black tshirt and black ripped jeans along with white sneakers.

Dhruv and Manik winked each other, seeing cabir lost. They jerked his chair making him jump around in horror.

Cab: bhukamp.

Both the boys burst into laughter while cabir was still shouting. Navya approached them with a nervous smile. She was not use to so much attention and that was making her scared. Seeing navya, all three girls pounced on her and exclaimed happily.

Na: you look hot

Nav: thank you nandu

Al: seriously babe..tumne poora college hilla diya ( giggled)

Ma: aur cabir ko bhi ( laughing)

Nav: Kya !?( confused)

Dhr: kuch nhi kuch nhi ( immediately covering up and glaring Manik) yeh na thoda pagal h, kuch bhi bolta rehta h

Cab: poora pagal h ( smacking Manik's head) main kitna darr gya

Ma: ( rubbing his head ) thik h na ( bad face)

Nav: hum chalte h,hamari class ka time hogya h

Navya left saying this and soon other to disappear. Navya was passing through the corridor, when she noticed the same group of boys who were laughing on her yesterday. But instead they were gazing her shamelessly which made her uncomfortable but rather than saying anything to them, she ran away to her class.

After classes, navya went to staircase and sat there. She was confused, her whole look was change and now people were praising her but still she was not able to be confident and answer to voice. Her trance was broken when Mukti sat beside her. Navya gave her a faint smile.

Muk: toh kaisa lga navya yeh short dress phen kar

Nav: kal acha lag rha tha liken ab humhe ajeeb lag rha h. Aisa lag rha h ki hum hum nhi reh

Muk: aur tumhe pta h aisa kyu h ? ( Navya nodded in no) kyuki tum apne upar yeh dress force kar rhi ho. Navya confidence doesn't come with wearing short dresses or makeup, it is something which you have build within yourself. Even wearing this dress abs doing this makeover, you were not able to reply to those boys, that's because you are scared. You have be strong and it doesn't come from what you wear. Be comfortable in your skin and trust me, if you keep thinking about others and there judgement then you will never be able to live your life and take your decision.

Navya listened her words carefully maybe understanding the deep meaning inside them. We live in a society where others judgement matter to us more than our own happiness. What we wear, what we do it all depends on the fact what others will think about us. Ever thought, how beautiful our life would be if we just care about our own happiness rather than a stranger opinion.

Nav: I'm sorry..humhe lga ki agar hum aise kapde pehne ge toh hum bhi confident ho jayege

Muk: it's okay ( smiling) to make you realise this we did this makeover.

Nav: thank you mukti.

Muk: no thank you, just accept my apology for ragging you ( smiling sheepishly)

Nav: aree hum toh kabka bhul chuke the voh.( standing up) hum na chalte h ab

Mukti nodded and hugged her. Navya left and she turned around and saw Nandan and alya standing with a proud smile on there face. They both jumped on her.

Na: I didn't even thought of what you did. We were busy changing her dressing sense but you had other plans.

Muk: it was needed for her. She seriously needed to understand that it's not about her dressing sense, it's about confidence.

Al: I'm so proud of you muku.

Na: now let's go to canteen.

Muk: yass I'm hungry

Al: obviously you will be. Pheli baar tune apna dimag chalaya h ( teasing)

Mukti glared her while Nandani giggled. Three of them went to canteen. But Nandani got a call, so she stayed back while Mukti and alya left to the canteen. She looked at the caller ID and smiled widely.

Na: bhaiiiii( exclaimed happily)

Abhi: Kya hua aaj !? Badi khush lag rhi h

Nandani narrated the navya incident to him. She also explain her bond with fab 5.

Abhi: finally tune koi friends bnaye ( teasing)

Na: ( pouting) main toh bnana chahti thi liken sab mujhse dur bhagte the

Abhi: I know baby sister( smiling) nd I'm happy for you. ( seriously) did they know about you?

Na: no ( immediately) nd I won't tell them. We became friends and are in good terms but that doesn't mean I will tell them everything. its not even a week I know them.

Abhi: that's good ( smiling) just be carefully, okay ?

Na: I will bhai, you don't worry. No one could harm me. ( smirking)

Abhi: voh toh I know ( laughed) instead people need to be careful around you

Na: ( pouting) main itni bhi buri nhi hu

Abhi: aree tu buri kha h..tu toh maha buri h.( laughing)

Na: Mujhe na aapse baat hi nhi karni ( angrily)

Abhi: acha sorry ( chuckling)

Na; you are still laughing ( whined)

Abhi; ( taking a deep breath) I'm not now, happy

Na: yesss( smiling widely) now I'm going to eat something. I'm hell hungry that I can eat this bench also ( chuckling)

Abhi: bye baby ( laughing) miss me

Nandani giggled and cut the call. A wide smile adore her face and she move to canteen.
