Ashley's POV:

"Ashton, seriously, what the hell is taking you so long?! You know the plane is going to leave us because you're such a slow poke!" I yelled from down the stairs, I looked at my phone to check the time and saw that we had about half an hour to get to the airport and actually get on the plane.

"Hold your horses, I'm almost done!" He yelled back, I groaned and went to the living room where Calvin and Lorraine were.

"Ashton's still not ready?" Calvin chuckled, I sighed and say down beside him.

"Yeah, he's taking forever. I swear the plane is going to leave us because of him." I said and crossed my arms over my chest.

We spent the last three months with our biological parents and honestly, I loved every single moment of it. They were fine with us not calling them Mom and Dad because they know that we're still adjusting to this whole situation and also to avoid confusion with Amanda and Christian.

Right now, Ashton and I ares supposed to go back home but he's taking so long and our flight leaves at 11:00 and it's already 10:25 and he's still not ready. We planned on being there at least an hour early, but no, Ashton just had to take so long to get ready. What does he even do? He doesn't have that much hair and he practically wears the same clothes everyday, what could he possibly be doing that's taking so long?

About a few minutes more of waiting for my idiotic twin, he finally comes running down the stairs with his bag in his hand.

"Finally! Took you long enough." I exclaimed, he sarcastically smiled at me and rolled his eyes. I glared at him and was about to say something but Lorraine spoke before I could open my mouth.

"Alright, I know that you two are about to scream at each other but please do that in the car because you two are gonna miss your flight." She said, Ashton and I glared at each other before agreeing with her. We grabbed our stuff and checked twice in case we forgot something. We all walked out the house and walked to the car, Ashton and I placed our things in the trunk of the car and we both got in. I looked at the house one more time before Calvin drove away.

We stayed here for three months and it feels like it went by way too fast. I enjoyed my time with Calvin and Lorraine, I really am glad that Ashton and I decided to spend some time with them. I knew that they were hoping that we would stay for them for good, but thankfully they understood that we couldn't just leave our lives back home. We also agreed that we would be going back sometime soon, but they also said that they were going to come to us some time just to spend time with Mom and Dad and also with Grandma and Grandpa. Somehow I've gotten used to the idea that our family is a bit complicated, because Grandpa and Grandma are the twin siblings of Ashton and I's biological parents. There sure is a lot of twins in this family, it gets kind of weird and confusing sometimes.

Before we knew it, we were at the airport and thankfully we had time to spare. We all got out the car and Ashton and I got our stuff and before entering the airport, Calvin and Lorraine stopped us.

"Okay, I think this is where we parts ways for now." Lorraine said with a sad smile on her face, I was dreading this moment but I knew it was bound to happen soon. I wrapped my arms around Lorraine and buried my face in her hair.

"I'm gonna miss you so much." I said to her, she wrapped her around me equally as tight and I closed my eyes as I enjoyed her embrace.

"I'm gonna miss you too, sweetie." She said in a low voice, we pulled away and she looked at me.

"Now remember, if you ever need anything you can always call us. We'll always be here for you guys, we may be a bit far from each other but we're always a text or a call away. Don't hesitate to call us, okay? I love you both so much." She said looking back and forth at Ashton and I. I felt Ashton by my side and he wrapped his arms around both of us, I saw Calvin looking at us with a smile on his face. I pulled away from Lorraine and Ashton and walked towards him. I wrapped my arms around his waist and he wrapped his arms around me and kissed my head.

"I'm so happy I got to see you both again and I'm glad that we all got to spend time together. I'm happy to see that you both have grown into such amazing people, Amanda and Christian did great in raising the both of you. We love you both so much and I hope that we get to see each other again soon, as much as I don't want to let you two go I know that I have to." He said, I felt the tears form in my eyes and I tried blinking them away it was no use.

"I love you two so much, I'm really glad you two are back in our lives. Words can't describe how happy I am to meet you two again." I said and hugged Calvin tighter, I looked at Ashton who had his arm around Lorraine and I just smiled. Calvin pulled away from the hug and wiped my tears away.

"We'll see each other again soon, like your mother said, we'll always be here for you two and we're just a phone call away." He said, I smiled and nodded my head. I stepped back from the two of them and felt my phone vibrate, I pulled my phone out and saw a text from Nolan and my smile widened.

"Is that Nolan?" Ashton asked before I could read the text, I looked up at him and nodded my head.

"Did you tell anyone that you guys were coming back?" Calvin asked, Ashton and I shook our heads.

"Not even Amanda and Christian?" Lorraine asked, we shook our heads again and they both chuckled.

"Well then I wish I was there to see their reactions, I'm sure everyone missed you guys." She said, we smiled and nodded our heads.

"Yeah, I hope we get good reactions, we missed everyone too." Ashton said and I agreed with him. Ashton and I decided that we wouldn't tell anyone that we were coming back because we wanted to surprise them. I told Nolan that we were coming back in a few weeks and it was so hard to keep it from him that we were coming back. Ashton also struggled to keep it from Paisley, but we had to do what we had to do.

"Alright, it's time for you two to go. Send everyone our regards and also call or text us when you land or get home, okay?" Lorraine said, we nodded our heads and hugged them one last time.

"We love you." Ashton and I said, they hugged us tighter and placed a kiss on our heads.

"We love you too, now go ahead and stay safe." Calvin said, we all pulled away from the hug and I grabbed my bag. Ashton and I started walking away from them, I looked back and saw Lorraine hugging Calvin and I could tell she was crying already and I wanted to go back and comfort her but I know that I can't now because we have a flight to catch. We'll see them again soon, it's not goodbye forever.

"That felt like forever." Ashton groaned as we got off the plane, we got our bags from the baggage/luggage claim area.

"The flight wasn't even that long, Ash. It was just a few hours." I told him, he rolled my eyes and got my luggage from me.

"Yeah sure, but it felt so long. Now where are we going now?" He asked looking around, I looked at my phone and saw another text from Nolan. Shit! I didn't reply to his text from earlier, he's gonna know something's up, damn it.

"You forgot to reply to Nolan, didn't you?" Ashton said with a smirk on his face, I glared at him and he just laughed.

"Shut the fuck up" I said and punched his shoulder, I looked back down on my phone and opened up Nolan's text message. There were about 10 messages and 3 missed calls from him, great.

Nolan: Hey babe, are you up?

Nolan: Have you eaten breakfast?

Nolan: Are you busy?

Nolan: Babe, are you okay?

Nolan: Baby, what's wrong? Are you ignoring me?

Nolan: Ashley, why aren't you answering?

Nolan: I tried texting Ashton, he's not answering either. What's wrong?

Nolan: Ashleyyyyy, where are you?

Nolan: Did I do something wrong?

Nolan: Alright, I'm calling you.

I looked back up at Ashton and raised an eyebrow at him.

"He said he texted you and that you didn't answer." I told him, he looked confused and pulled out his phone.

"Oh, I turned on airplane mode after telling Paisley that I was going to take a nap." He said and showed me Nolan's text.

Nolan: Hey Ash, is Ashley with you? She's not answering my texts and I'm staring to get worried.

Nolan: Ash? Seriously, what the hell is going on?

There was also a missed call from him and I started to feel bad.

"We need to go back to the house, I bet he's gonna be there. The last time he called was about an hour ago, he probably went to Mom or Dad to ask." Ashton said, I nodded my head and looked back down at my phone to send a quick message to Nolan.

Ashley: Hey babe, I'm sorry for not answering. I'm feeling a bit under the weather and I've been sleeping all day. Ashton told me that you texted and called a few minutes ago, I'm sorry but I'm going to get something to eat. I love you so much, I'll call you in a while, okay?

I closed my phone and I looked at Ashton.

"C'mon, let's go home." I said with a smile, I honestly can't wait to go back home. I'm excited to see Mom's baby bump since it's been a while since the last time she and Dad sent a picture. I haven't talked to Nathan and Dale in a while too, so I'm pretty excited to see them too. Hazel, Paisley, Matt, and I have also been talking every day and I can't wait to see their reaction. The most obvious one, Nolan, I missed him so much over the past few months. We've been FaceTiming every day and honestly we haven't had any problems since you know who.

I felt a buzz in my back pocket and I pulled my phone out to see a reply from Nolan..

Nolan: Oh thank God you're alright. How are you feeling? Did you drink any medicine? Gets lots of rest, okay? I'm going to call you later, I love you Ash.

A smile made it's way on my lips and I felt Ashton nudge my stomach.

"Hey! What the hell was that for?" I exclaimed, he rolled his eyes and pointed at a taxi.

"Stop smiling at your phone, we're gonna see him in less than an hour. Can we get on the taxi now? I also wanna see my girlfriend you know." He said, I rolled my eyes too and he went to put our luggages in the trunk of the taxi and I went ahead and got in. I looked at my phone again and sent a quick reply to Nolan.

Ashley: I love you too <3

"I'm kinda nervous to be honest." I told Ashton as we neared our house, we were literally about 5 minutes away and I'm kinda freaking out for some reason. I guess it's just been so long and now I'm nervous to see everyone again and they don't even know that we're coming.

"Not gonna lie, I am too. It's mostly because I don't know how they're going to react, they don't know we're coming after all." He said basically voicing my thoughts, I saw our house come into view and I was getting more and more nervous.

"Calm down, we're supposed to be happy. We're finally back home, Ash." He said as if he didn't just say that we was nervous a second ago. I decided to drop it and before I knew it, the vehicle stopped and Ashton and I looked at each other.

"Well we're here." I said looking at our house, Mom and Dad's car was here and our car was in the same position we left it. Ashton went ahead and paid the driver and we both got out the taxi and grabbed or stuff from the trunk. The taxi drove away and Ashton and I were left staring at our house for some reason, it's like we didn't plan to go in at all. I shook off the nerves and nudged Ashton.

"C'mon, let's go. We can't keep staring at the house, we have to go on some time." I said with a smile, he chuckled and nodded his head. We both walked up the steps and by the time we got to the porch my palms were sweating like crazy.

"Should we ring the doorbell?" Ashton asked, we looked at each other and then at the doorbell. I sighed and decided to press it, I heard the bell ring from inside and I was getting anxious as seconds passed by. I heard from footsteps coming closer and I took a deep breath before the door opened and revealed Nathan. His eyes widened and he looked back and forth at Ashton and I.

I smiled and waved my hand, "Hey baby bro, missed us?" I teased, he laughed and jumped into my arms. I was shocked at how heavy he got and we both came crashing down, we both laughed and I heard Ashton laughing along.

"Hey! Don't I get a hug?" He asked, Nathan kissed my cheek and got up. He helped me up before going to Ashton and giving him a hug as well.

"Hey Nathan, what's goin-" I heard Dale's voice say but he stopped when he saw us, his eyes widened like Nathan's and he charged at me giving me a hug as well. My smile widened and I wrapped my arms around him giving him a tight squeeze.

"Damn, you guys are getting so tall. What have you guys been eating? Sheesh." I said, they both laughed and Dale went to Ashton to give him a hug as well. Nathan walked back to me and wrapped his arms around me seeming like he didn't want to let go.

"Wow, you sure missed me huh?" I teased, he smiled and just hugged me tighter. I definitely missed these little squirts, that's a no brainer.

"Hey, where's Mom and Dad?" Ashton asked, Nathan looked up at me and pointed up the stairs. I'm guessing they're in their room.

"And where's Nolan?" I asked, they both laughed and looked at me.

"He actually just left. He came here to ask us if we heard anything from both of you because he said you both weren't answering but then he got a text from you and then he calmed down and left. He's back home now." Dale explained, Ashton and I looked at each other and laughed because Ashton did say that he might go here and he really did.

"Well let's go surprise Mom and Dad, are they sleeping?" I asked, they both shrugged their shoulders and I just nodded my head.

"Can you guys help us with our bags?" I asked them, they nodded their heads and they each got a bag and rushed inside. Ashton placed his hand on my shoulder and I looked back at him and raised an eyebrow. 

"Go see Nolan before he goes crazy. Bring him over one you're done talking, I missed that bastard." He said with a laugh, I smiled and nodded my head. I gave him a quick hug before he went inside and I rushed next door where Nolan was. I was on his doorstep in no time and I knocked on the door. I heard Isabelle's voice from inside tell Nolan to get the door and another smile made its way on my lips. 

Nolan mentioned to me that he's been spending his time with his parents and I'm glad that he did because I know 

A few seconds later, I saw the door open and an annoyed Nolan opened the door. 

I chuckled and eyed him up and down, "What's up with you? Not happy to see me?" I teased, his eyes widened and his expression changed to excitement. 

"Ashley!" He exclaimed and wrapped his arms around me and lifted me off the ground, I wrapped my arms around him and sighed in content. I missed this, I missed him. Even though it's only been a couple of months since we saw each other, I missed him so much.

A few seconds later, he placed me on the ground but he still had his arms wrapped around me and his face was buried in my hair.

"I missed you so much." I heard him say but it was a bit muffled since like I said, his face was buried in my hair.

"I missed you too, you idiot." I said with a smile and squeezed him tight. 

"Nolan, who was at the door?" I heard Isabelle say, I saw her walk towards us and a smile formed on her face.

"Ashley, you're back!" She exclaimed and walked closer, Nolan finally let me go and gave Isabelle the chance to hug me. She wrapped her arms around me and gave me a tight hug, I hugged her back and rubbed her back.

"Okay mom, can I have her back now?" Nolan asked his mom impatiently, Isabelle and I laughed and let go of each other. Nolan immediately wrapped his arms around me again and I just smiled and did the same. 

"Is Owen home?" I asked Isabelle while I was still in Nolan's embrace, she smiled and shook his head. 

"No, I asked him to run to the store to get some stuff but I'm sure he'll be back in a while." She said and I nodded my head. 

"Alright Nolan, I think that's enough hugging for now, you're going to suffocate your girlfriend." She said, I heard Nolan grumble and he let me go but he grabbed my hand instead. I smiled and gave his hand a little squeeze. 

"Ashton wants me to bring you over, he said he misses you." I said, he laughed and looked at his mom.

"I'll be back in a while, Mom. Call me if you need anything." He said, Isabelle nodded her head and I gave her one last hug before Nolan and I went to my house. He opened the door and I heard Ashton, Dale, and Nathan in the living room. We walked in the living room to see the three of them talking. Ashton was the first to notice us and he walked over to us and looked at Nolan. 

"So I heard you missed me." Nolan teased, Ashton glared at me and I just shrugged with a smile on my face. 

"No, I didn't. Maybe you did." He said rolling his eyes, I laughed at their interaction and let go of Nolan's hand. He looked at me raising his eyebrow and I just placed an arm on his shoulder. 

"You two go catch up, I wanna spend some time with these weirdos." I said gesturing to Nathan and Dale, Nolan kissed my head and he and Ashton walked out and I jumped on the couch placing myself in between Nathan and Dale. 

"What are Mom and Dad doing upstairs? Is mom okay?" I asked the two of them 

"Mom was feeling a bit nauseous so Dad brought her upstairs to rest, the last time Dale and I checked, they were both fast asleep." Nathan explained, I nodded my head and decided on going upstairs to check up on them. 

"I'm going upstairs, I'll be right back." I said, they both nodded their heads and I got up and walked up the stairs and to Mom and Dad's room. I opened the door to see them both asleep, Mom had her back towards Dad and he had his arms wrapped around her with his hand placed on her stomach. I smiled and decided to wait until later to surprise them.

It's been quite a while since Ashton and I have been home and we've already settled in and Mom and Dad were still asleep. We truly didn't mind at all because we spent our time with Nolan, Nathan, Dale and even Bailey. I found the pup in Mom and Dad's room when I went to check on them earlier, he was quite excited to say the least and started barking which thankfully didn't wake Mom and Dad.

It was almost dinner time and I don't know whether we should wake up Mom and Dad or just let them sleep. 

"I think it's best to wake them up, Mom's gonna freak if she knew you guys were here and waited till the next morning to tell her." Nathan said, well he did have a point. Knowing Mom, she would definitely freak out and we wouldn't hear the end of it, specially now that she's pregnant. 

"I think both of you should wake them up." Nolan said from beside me, he wouldn't leave my side the second he and Ashton finished catching up. 

"You're probably right, we should be the ones to wake them up." Ashton said and I nodded my head in agreement.

"Ashley? Ashton?" I heard someone ask from behind us, I kinda froze for second because I knew it was Mom's voice and that we just ruined the surprise. Nolan tapped my shoulder and I looked over to him and saw he had a smug look on his face and I just glared at him. He knew how much I wanted to surprise both Mom and Dad. I took a deep breath before turning around and faced Mom. 

She was there standing by the door and Dad was beside her with his arm wrapped around her waist. She stood there with a look of shock on her face and I looked over at Dad and he seemed as shocked as Mom was. 

"Oh my god, why didn't you tell us you guys were coming?!" Mom exclaimed and quickly made her way to us and wrapped her arms around Ashton and I because he was sitting beside me. I sighed in content and wrapped my arms around her too and gave her a tight squeeze but not too tight that I'll hurt her. 

"I missed you, Mom." I said as I buried my face in her neck, I heard her sigh and she eventually pulled away from us and she looked back and forth at me and Ashton. 

"When did you guys get here?" I heard Dad ask, he walked towards us and gave us hugs. I hugged him a bit longer because I really did miss him, we didn't get to talk much when we were with Calvin and Lorraine because we did all sorts of activities. 

"We got here a few hours ago, we've been hanging out with Nathan and Dale." Ashton said, I pulled away from Dad but his arms remained wrapped around my shoulder, he kissed the side of my head and I just smiled, I really did miss my family. 

"How's the baby, mom?" I asked her, she looked over at me and gave me a smile while she held her stomach.

"Doing great, I can't wait to meet the little guys." She said

"Oh that's great, did- wait what?" I asked, did she just say- 

"Mom, did you just say 'guys'?" Ashton asked, she smiled at us and excitedly nodded her head. I looked up at Dad to confirm and he smiled and nodded his head, I pulled away from Dad and went over to Mom and attack her with another hug. 

"Oh my god, Mom! You're having twins!! Twins!! I mean I should've guess that with all the twins in our family and all." I exclaimed, she laughed and hugged me tight. 

"This is so exciting, Mom. When did you find out?" I asked her when we pulled away 

"I found out during our last appointment, I refuse to know the gender though, I really want it to be a surprise." She said and I just looked at her and then at her stomach, two babies to spoil.

"Another set of twins..." Ashton started and trailed off, I looked at him and he looked taken aback.

"What's wrong, Ash?" Mom asked him, he looked at her and down at her stomach and gave an uneasy smile.

"Just thinking about the amount of diapers you'll have to change." He said in disgust, Mom rolled her eyes and slapped his shoulder. The rest of us laughed and I looked at Nolan who was already looking at me. 

Life is great right now and I can't imagine it any different. Nolan and I are perfectly fine, Mom and the babies are healthy, Dad seems to be happy, Nathan and Dale seem like they're having loads of fun, Ashton is just how he is...silly and well, Ashton. 

Everything is perfect and I couldn't have it any other way.

omg guys, thats it for 'My Twin's Best Friend', I can't believe its actually over. I spent over a year and a half writing this book...but that's because of my lazy ass. im sorry for the shitty ending, i just really couldn't think of anything else and im just so out of it lately. i have some other stories in store but i dont know when im gonna be publishing another book but i'll let you guys know!
