Ashley's POV: 

"Would you excuse us for a moment?" Matt said and pulled Hazel and I's arms dragging us out of the cafeteria and into the empty hallway.

"What's up?" Hazel asked as I stayed quiet still thinking of what Nolan said. Usually it doesn't offend me when he says those kinds of things to me, but somehow this time it's different. I mean I'm used to Nolan's offensive statements, but it usually doesn't affect me like this. God, I sound like such a pussy right now. 

"Ashley, are you alright?" I heard Hazel ask, I snapped out of my daze and forced out a smile.

"Yeah, yeah of course I'm alright. Why do you ask?" I asked her, she and Matt looked at each and I heard Hazel sigh.

"Because after Nolan commented on your eating, you haven't said a thing." She said 

"No, everything's fine. Is that all? Can we go back now?" I asked her, they both nodded and I went back inside and walked over to our table.

"Hey, you alright Ash?" Asher asked, I smiled and nodded my head. 

"Yeah, I'm fine. I just realised that I have to do something." I said grabbing my bag and pushing my tray towards Ashton.

"Here, you can eat my lunch so you don't have to buy anymore. I'll see you guys later, love ya Ashy." I said and kissed his cheek, I caught Nolan looking at me but I ignored it and walked away. Matt and Hazel asked me where I was going but I passed by them and walked out the cafeteria. I quickly went to the restroom and locked the door. I looked at myself in the mirror and sighed.

"You are getting pretty fat." I said to myself as I looked down at my body. 

"You need to lose some weight." I said again

"You need to work out more."

"He's right, no one would dare flirt with you with your eating habits. You eat like a fucking pig." I didn't realise that I was crying until I heard a knock on the door. I quickly wiped the tears away and checked my appearance in the mirror. I heard a knock on the door again and I quickly grabbed my bag and opened the door to see Nolan.

"Hey, what are you doing here?" I asked him, I wrapped my arms around myself as he just kinda started at me.

"Umm I just wanted to check up on you." He said and scratched the back of his neck.

"Well I'm alright, now excuse me, I need to go." I said and walked pass him, until he grabbed my wrist. Jeez, what is this? Some cliche book? (A/N: Hahahaha see what I did there? No? Oh well, continue then.)

"Hey, wait." He said and turned me around, I sighed and crossed my arms over my chest.

"What?" I asked him rather harshly

"Have you been crying? Was this about what I said earlier?" He asked, I looked away from him and sighed.

"Look, I really have to go. I'll see you later." I said and yanked my wrist out of his grip. I turned around and walked away from him. 

*After school* 

"Hazel, can we both get a ride from you? Ashton and Nolan have basketball practice." I asked Hazel as we walked through the halls with Matt trailing behind on his phone. 

"Yeah sure thing." She said, I smiled at her and we all went to the parking lot. We were gonna get in her car, when I heard someone call my name and it sounded awfully familiar. Oh god.

"ASHLEY!" I heard him yell, I groaned and turned around.

"What do you want, Nolan?" I asked him as he ran to me.

"I just wanted to see if you were alright, you haven't talked to me since lunch." He said, I scoffed and turned around, but yet again he grabbed my wrist.

"Le Le, what's wrong?" He asked, I yanked my hands out of his grip and got in Hazel's car. I looked at him and sighed.

"We'll talk at home." I said forcing out a smile, he returned the smile and nodded his head.

"See you later, Le Le." He said and ran away from us.

"What's up with that?" Matt asked from the backseat.

"When I went to the restroom during lunch, he came knocking at the door and said that he 'wanted to check up on me'." I said

"Ahhh, I get it. Were you affected with what he said?" He asked, I sighed and looked down at my fingers fiddling with them.

"Kinda, but not much." I said

"Ash, don't let what he said get into your head. I'm sure he didn't mean it, I mean have you looked at yourself? You're stunning and have a killer body that I wish I had." Hazel said as she drove away from the school parking lot. 

"Thanks, Haze. I don't really know why I was affected by what he said that time, because he's been saying stuff like those for years now." I said

"Maybe you do like him after all." Matt said, I turned back at him and glared at him.

"Matt, dear ole Matt, why in hell would I ever like a guy like Nolan Price?" I asked, he smirked and shrugged.

"I don't know, Ash. You tell me." He said, I narrowed my eyes at him before turning back and crossed my arms over my chest.

"Bye, Ash! I'll text you later!" 

"Bye, Ash, talk to ya later, love ya!" Hazel and Matt yelled as I got out of car. I smiled and waved at them. I walked into the house to hear Nathan and Dale's chatter and Mom and Dad's laughs. I smiled and entered the living room where Mom and Dad were cuddled up in the couch and Nathan and Dale were on their IPad's playing games probably. 

"Hey guys, I'm home." I said as I dropped my bag and took off my shoes. Mom and Dad's attention turned to me and I walked over to them giving them a kiss on the cheek.

"Hey sweetie, how was your day?" Dad asked

"Ugh, I don't ever want to go to school ever again." I said as I plopped onto the couch. 

"I remember our senior year, that was one heck of a year." Mom chuckled, I smiled remembering when Mom and Dad were still teenagers back then. They were honestly the cutest couple ever, I know that when you see your Mom and Dad being all coupley and stuff, you tend to puke, but honestly, they're really cute. 

"Oh yeah, honey. I forgot to tell you that you're gonna have to babysit your cousins, Nathan, and Dale on the weekend. Your Aunt Alyssa, Uncle Nate, your father, and I have to attend a really important meeting and then we're going to a gala after." Mom said, my lips immediately curled into a smile as Mom mentioned my cousins.

Aunt Alyssa is my mom's twin sister and Uncle Nate is her husband and is Dad's best friend from way back when they were in high school. They live about a town over, and their eldest kid is Shane. He's a freshman in high school. Morgan, she's about 9, same age as Nathan and Dale. Then, there's Shaun, he's 5 years old. 

I haven't seen them in almost 9 months and so of course I miss them a lot. Shane and I get along a lot, he's a really cool kid. Morgan is just a little angel, and Shaun's such a cutie. 

"That's alright, Mom. I miss them a lot, I haven't seen them in forever." I said

"Morgan's coming over?" Nathan asked, Mom looked at him and nodded her head.

"Yeah, she's coming over along with her other siblings." She said, Nathan's lips curled into a smile and nudged Dale who was in a daze. Right, I forgot to tell you, Dale has this cute little crush on Morgan and she's completely oblivious. It's really cute, like I'm not even kidding.

"I'm going up, I'm pretty tired." I said standing up from the couch. I grabbed my bag and skipped up the stairs. I walked into my room and jumped in bed, I sighed in content and snuggled up in my blankets. I played some songs on my speakers and just laid there. Until.....

"Mom! Dad! Nolan and I are home."
