Nolan's POV:

I woke up to someone slapping me with a pillow. I groaned and forced my eyes open and saw Ashton holding a pillow, of course it was Ashton.

"Why the heck would you do that?" I asked him clearly annoyed

"You upset my sister, that's why. You deserve way worse than that." He said and I just got confused as to how I upset Ashley.

"How did I upset Ashley?" I asked him, he sat down on my beanbag and rolled his eyes.

"I told her about you going to Sophie's house and the fact that she was already paranoid about you and Sophie didn't help at all. The worse part, you didn't even tell her, not even a single text message you asshole." He said looking straight at me, my eyes widened and I grabbed my phone and opened it to check if Ashley texted me back last night.

"She didn't text me back last night, it's left on seen." I said putting my phone down, I stood up and ran to my bathroom to start getting ready so I could go and talk to Ashley.

"Where is she? I need to talk to her." I asked picking up my toothbrush

"She already left for school." He said, I dropped my toothbrush and looked at him.

"Wait, what do you mean she already left? It's like 7:30 in the morning." I said

"She left early this morning, she left a note to Mom and Dad and left the keys on the counter saying that she was leaving early and going to walk today but I know she just doesn't want to ride with you and I." He said and I just ran my fingers through my hair, so she's clearly mad at me.

"Well why is she mad at you?" I asked him and he sighed

"I lied to her the first time she asked about where you were. I told her I didn't know where you were or who you were with but then when I went to her room and saw how frustrated she looked, couldn't resist anymore." He explained throwing his head back and crossing his arms over his chest.

"Why were you with Sophie anyways?" He asked

"She asked me for help with the school work that she needs to catch up on since she's new and all." I said and he looked at me and raised an eyebrow.

"She asked you for help?" He asked in disbelief

"Yeah, what's wrong with that?" I asked and he laughed

"No offense, but you're not the smartest one in the book; she's definitely into you." He said and I just rolled my eyes.

"In case you're forgetting, I'm dating your sister and I'm perfectly fine with our relationship. Besides, Sophie and I just met and I could totally see her checking other guys out, so there's no way." I said and he just shrugged his shoulders

"Whatever you say, but let me tell you this Nolan; if you ever break my sister's heart I swear to God I will forget we were even friends and you will no longer exist in my eyes. Ashley doesn't deserve any more of this crap, we're already going through some stuff with our real parents and I know that she's stressed out about it. Make her feel that she can trust you, distance yourself as much as possible from Sophie, she seems like bad news." He said and I knew that he meant every single word of it; I nervously gulped and nodded my head.

Ashton is a really scary person when he wants to be and man can he pack a punch. There was this one time Ashley, Ashton and I were walking around the halls in school and a pervert decided that it was a good idea to slap her ass and Ashton went all beast mode on him. He beat the guy to a pulp and to say Ma and Pa were mad is an understatement. He got suspended for two weeks and was grounded for a whole month but he didn't care because it was all for Ashley.

"What do you mean Sophie's bad news?" I asked him

"She was all over me yesterday in school and I've seen her flirt with other guys too." He said, there's no way.

"No, Sophie isn't like that. She's shy and she doesn't really like guys' attention." I said, that's what she told me yesterday and besides she doesn't even look like that type of girl. I mean yeah I've seen her check a few guys out here and there, but cmon who doesn't do that?

"Dude seriously? Whatever, just get changed. I have to go and see my sister and see if she forgives me." He said and I nodded my head and went back to getting ready for school.

*At School*

"Where do you think she is? Class starts soon." I asked Ashton, he shrugged his shoulders and continued looking around. I looked around as well and tried to spot my girlfriend in the crowd of students. I spotted her locker and there she was with Hazel and Paisley. I was about to walk over to her but then I heard my name being called out. I looked over to the direction of the voice and saw Sophie, she walked over to me and kissed my cheek followed with a hug.

"Dude, Ashley's looking." I heard Ashton say, I looked in Ashley's direction and sure enough she was looking at me along with Hazel and Paisley. This definitely doesn't look good; I quickly pulled away from Sophie and gave her a small smile.

"Hey Sophie" I said, she smiled and looked over at Ashton.

"Oh hey Ashton, I didn't see you there." She said giving him a smile, he gave her a smile, which was obviously fake by the way, and he looked at me. He pointed to where Ashley was and I saw her eyes tearing up and Hazel and Paisley had to drag her away from the scene. Ashton slapped the back of my head and looked at Sophie.

"Excuse me, but I have to go see if my sister's okay." He said and turned around walking pass me purposely bumping into my shoulder.

"What's up with him?" Sophie chuckled

"Look Sophie, I really have-" I started to say that I needed to go check on Ashley but she cut me off.

"Come, I need help with my books." She said grabbing my hand and dragging me away, I sure do hope Ashley forgives me even after this, I'll never forgive myself.

Ashton's POV:

I went to follow the girls after Nolan pulled that stunt, I saw Hazel and Paisley guide her into the girl's restroom and heard Hazel yell at the other girls who were in there and they all walked out. Paisley closed the door and I took a deep breath before walking to that direction and stopped at the door. I held up arm up and brought myself to knock on the door.

"Occupied" I heard my girlfriend's voice yell out.

"Babe, it's me. Is Ashley okay?" I asked through the door, I heard footsteps before the door opened. Paisley peeked her head out and looked at me, she looked around and I assumed that she was checking to see if Nolan was around.

"Nolan's not with me." I said, she looked at me and sighed.

"Look Ashton, I can't really talk to you right now. My best friend needs me right now, so why don't you go talk to your best friend and tell him to get his act together." She said, okay she's clearly mad.

"Babe, I just want to talk to Ashley, please." I said and tried to open the door but she pushed it back with much force.

"She doesn't want to talk to you or Nolan right now, please just go." She said, I sighed and looked pass her a little and saw Ashley sitting on the sink with Hazel rubbing her back. She had tears streaming down her face but her face held no emotions at all and that had me worried.

"Paisley, please" I pleaded but she just shook her head and closed the door. I sighed and heard someone walk towards me, I turned and saw Nolan but there was no sign of Sophie.

"What are you doing her?" I asked him with a glare

"I came to see if my girlfriend is okay obviously." He said and I scoffed

"You should've done that before you walked off with Sophie." I said and he just sighed and rubbed his neck.

"Look, Sophie needed help with her books and I couldn't say no." He said and I just looked at him and shook my head.

"You could always say no, Nolan; but you didn't. You chose to go with girl you barely know and is the reason as to why Ashley was mad at you in the first place than comforting your girlfriend for the stupid shit you did and is by the way in this damn bathroom with tears streaming down her face yet she had no emotion whatsoever. Do you know how much it hurts to see my sister in pain? It hurts a lot Nolan and knowing that I had somehow caused the pain she's going through right now just makes it worse; so thanks a lot jackass." I said before walking away and going to my class before the bell could even ring.

I swear if Nolan doesn't make this right, I'm going to beat the crap out of him. He better get his shit together and realize that this Sophie is no good before he loses my sister, and when he loses my sister, he loses me too.
