Nolan's POV:

When Ashley passed out in my arms, I ran faster to the clinic. Once I got in, I called out for the nurse and she ran out of her office and told me to place her on the bed.

"What happened to her?" She asked me 

"She got into a fight with a girl." I said not taking my eyes off of Ashley. She checked the beating of her heart and then checked her arms and face. 

"Gosh, what caused this fight?" She asked as she checked her stomach where there was a huge bruise forming.

"You have to bring her to the hospital, this is way out of my reach. There's something wrong with her ribs." She said, I felt the tears start to form in my eyes but I pushed them away.

"Alright, thank you for help. I'll bring her to the hospital right now." I said, she smiled at me and nodded her head

"Okay, take care! I'll inform the officer of your leave. What's you and the girl's name, dear?" She asked

"I'm Nolan Price and she's Ashley Matthews." I said

"Okay then, you guys go ahead." She said, I nodded my head and picked Ashley up. I walked out and ran outside to the parking lot. I went over to my car and quickly searched for the keys in my pocket. Once I finally found it, I unlocked the car and laid Ashley in the backseat and got in the driver's seat and started the car. I was about to drive away when I saw Ashton running out of the school and running towards my car. 

"Don't think you're leaving without me, are you?" He said and got in the backseat laying Ashley's head on his lap, I then drove away and made my way to the nearest hospital.

"What the hell caused them to fight like this?" Ashton asked as we all stared at the unconscious Ashley on the hospital bed.

"Oh I'll tell you what, they were fighting about Nolan." Matt said, my head snapped in his direction and I just looked at him.

"What do you mean?" I asked him 

"Well I overheard Trina telling Ashley to 'Stay the hell away from Nolan, because he's mine and only mine.' After that, things got a little messy and here we are." He explained, I looked back at Ashley and brought my hands to my face.

"This is all my fucking fault." I mumbled, the door opened and I saw Ma and Pa walk in with Nathan and Dale behind them.

"Oh my god, what happened to my baby girl?" Pa asked as he walked over to Ashley's side and held her hand.

"She got into a fight with a girl in school." Ashton said, I noticed that Hazel was not saying anything and she was just staring at Ashley. 

"How? Why? I thought you guys were in class. How did this even happen?" Ma asked

"It was lunch time, Ma. She just got out of class, and she somehow bumped into Trina." I told her, she looked at me and her gaze trailed down to my body where Ashley's blood stained from when she coughed up blood earlier. 

"Is that her blood?" She asked in the verge of bursting into tears. I looked down finding my shoes so interesting. I nodded my head and that's when she broke. 

"Oh my god" She managed to let out, Ashton immediately went to his mother and comforted her while Pa was sitting next to Ashley's bed just holding her hand close to his cheek with tears streaming down his face.

"W-what did the doctor say?" He asked

"The doctor said that she broke 2 of her ribs and she also broke her nose, but other than that she should be fine." Ashton explained

"What did Ashley ever do to that girl to make her beat her up like this?" Ma asked in between hiccups. Ashton then looked over to me and gestured for me to go outside and mouthed 'We need to talk', I sighed and nodded my head. 

"Mom, Nolan and I are just gonna have a little talk." He said, Ma then looked at me and Ashton and she nodded her head.

"Okay, you guys go ahead." She said, Ashton then pulled away from her and grabbed my arm and dragged me out of the room. He slammed the door shut and looked at me.

"Look, Nolan you and I have been best friends since my family and I moved here. But, if anything were to happen to my sister because of you, I will forget that I ever knew you. I love my sister, Nolan. I love her a lot, and I would do anything to keep her safe, even if it means cutting off my friendship with you. Am I clear?" He asked in a stern tone, I nodded my head and he just sighed.

"Good, now please tell me why the hell Trina just had to start a fight with my sister?" He asked 

"I told her this morning that we were over." I said, he raised his eyebrow and gave me the 'Are you serious' look. 

"Yeah, I'm serious. She's too clingy for my liking." I said, he chuckled and shook his head.

"Ashley's right, you're such a fucking pig." He said

"Hey, look who's talking." I said, he rolled his eyes and lightly punched my shoulder.

"At least I somewhat treat them right before I shag them, you just do it right away." He said

"Same thing, bro." I said

"Whatever, I'm going to the cafeteria to get some coffee. Want to come with?" He asked

"No, I'm good. I'm just gonna stay here with Ashley." I said, he nodded his head and walked away. 

I looked in Ashley's room to see Ma and Pa crying and Matt comforting a shaken up Hazel. Nathan and Dale were seated on the couch just looking at Ashley not knowing what to do. I sighed and brought my hand to my face. Ashley's got hurt because of me, she got hurt because I decided to be a stupid whore. I 'broke up' with Trina this morning, because I wanted to try and stop my player ways to make it up to Ashley. 

I was never even a player to begin with, when she first met me she immediately assumed that I was one because of how I looked. I thought that she found that hot, so I did as she thought and became a 'player'. But, the truth is, that's not even really true. All I've done with girls is make out with them, I've never even did 'it' yet. I know, a senior guy who wasn't done 'it' yet, pathetic. I actually want to save it for that special girl, call me pathetic or what, but it's what I think is right.

I'm gonna prove to Ashley that I love her with all my heart no matter what it takes. I might sound like one of those guys in those books, but it's true. I love her, and I'm gonna show her that. 

I just need to find a way how.
