Day five

"Laura it's not funny at all, why do you find it amusing "I questioned her with my hands folded. It was bad enough that Ada croaked with laughter when I narrated my ordeal, laura's reaction was worse.

"How can you even find this funny at all, I was so scared trust me you don't want to witness that"I said

"It's just that, babe eh you've got this serious issue, first one was a stammerer, second a pervert , third a miser, fourth an epileptic who knows what your fifth date will be " laura replied still very much amused

" Who knows the next one might be a lunatic or even worse"Ada added

"Are you sure you even prayed in church at all, I told you to pray and ask for better dates and you ended up with onye akwukwu(an epileptic) "Laura declared with an annoying smirk

"Johnson was a wonderful date, I mean I enjoyed every bit of our time together, his condition doesn't make him bad company"I replied

"And yet you came back looking like a fugitive "laura taunted

"See who's talking, do you want me to tell ada about your first kiss. You've been making fun of me all morning don't push me, your story is way too embarrassing. Just because you're dating Kevin doesn't exactly make you an expert "

"Nawa for you oo Amaka, person cannot play with you again, must you bring up that first kiss. Atleast I have a boyfriend. Your case is worse. What about that necklace smoker got you?  Did you later return it? "

"I gave it back and got this bracelet, his name is David biko not smoker"i retorted

"Sister laura what happened on your first kiss"Ada questioned  with an eager look

"Why did you bring this up Amaka? now I'll be forced to tell this girl"laura replied making a crying face

So one day we were involved in a conversation that resulted to my confession about never being kissed before so we planned on changing that during recess. I slipped a note into his pocket about where I'd be , I also happened to tell him that I'd wear a blindfold. I was somewhat embarrassed which was why I decided on that"

" I kept waiting for him, till I finally felt a presence, I was so excited that he was finally there but I didn't remove the blindfold to check, so when I felt his lips on mine I was happy finally I had gotten a kiss. So I decided to remove the blindfold but when I did I saw John Bosco"laura finished the last part of the story with a look of disdain.

Senior John Bosco!!!? Ada yelled
Jesus!!!  Sister laura you kissed John Bosco!!!!, "then she fell into  a fit of laughter

John Bosco was a verge shaggy boy who suffered from tooth decay, everyone in school used to call him "Eze anwuru"merely used to point out the brownish color his teeth had taken

The note laura gave kelvin had fallen on the ground when kelvin removed something from his pocket, John Bosco being so unlucky with girls decided to take the chance he had gotten at a first kiss.

"Laura brushed her teeth five times a day for one month"I said laughing so hard

"I could still see his face and his teeth, everyday I'm school and it didn't help. All I could think of was his dirty mouth "Laura shuddered

Ada was on the floor, with her hands on her chest laughing so hard

"So laura, you see we all have embarrassing stories to share"
she stood up and went into the bathroom and yelled

"Where's the mouth wash!!! "
Ada only managed to breathe before telling her where to get the mouth wash

We conversed about so many things before it was time for me to go on my date. I had gotten a text from Johnson that read

"Sorry I ruined our date can't wait for the next, I'm definitely locking up my dear friend convulsion, can't have him rolling on the floor for you again my lady😉 "
I was glad that he was okay

I Walked into the restaurant and started looking for my date. I saw a young man on an empty table facing backward and I strode forward. I made a little prayer in my heart. I didn't want a second Johnson or a lunatic.
When I finally  walked up to him he turned to greet me and I was shocked
Kevin!!, what are you doing here? "
He smiled and pulled me into an embrace

"Laura filled me in on your exhaustingly disappointing search for love so I decided to give you one good date to remember "

" How sweet of you two, how long are you going to be in town? How did you even know I was going to be here? "

"She told me your location right after you told where you were going to"

" That means my date is also on his way, well I'll definitely trade him for you there's no assurance that he wouldn't be bad or even worse"I replied slightly dịs appointed with my luck in men

Kelvin and I had a wonderful time together and after thirty minutes of good conversation and tasty meal, I got a text from my date describing what he was putting on and his current location.

" I occasionally peeked out, hoping that he would be as handsome as Johnson, just then maybe I could dismiss kelvin"

He arrived an hour later and when he texted me to tell me he was outside, I peeked again only to see an old man with a pot belly so big that you'd mistake him for a woman pregnant with quadruplets. He looked like a pregnant she goat with her belly dancing side to side.

I tapped kelvin quickly and we managed to exit the restaurant before it was too late. Kelvin had actually saved me from disaster.

I got him early went to my chart and left a question mark on day five, I didn't know what to grade the fifth man since I had no chance to talk with him.

David called much later to tell me of the progress he made and I was surprised when he told me  he was in our neighborhood. I snuck out to meet him and I was thrilled that he hadn't smoked all day. We talked about his childhood mostly and his amazing sister before we parted ways.
Maybe the smoker was really getting under my skin.
