Pleading For The Remnants Of Dispair
Mokotos pov
I sipped on some coffee with a sigh. It's been two weeks since the towa city massacre and things have been a little on edge since.
I was a little worried when we first arrived at future fondation. I was worried that kokichi would be locked away for his crimes but luckily they agreed to let him go as long as he gave information on the remnants of Dispair. After alot of convincing he agreed.
Things may be difficult now but I have friends, my little sister and I even helped a broken boy find peace. What else could I ask for-
"Mr Neigi!" kokichi burst through the doors, as pale as a sheet.
"kokichi is everything ok-"
"no!" he cut me off "it's awful. They said when they find the remnants of Dispair they're going to execute them!" tears brimmed in the boys eyes "it's all my fault. I shouldn't have told them anymore"
"kokichi calm down" I said gently "it's ok. You didn't do anything wrong. They were all bad people-"
"no they weren't!" he screamed "they weren't bad people. They were just victims of junko"
"victims?"
"mm hmm" he nodded as tears rolled down his cheeks "they lived awful lives and junko took advantage of that! Deep down they're all good people. If junko hadn't gotten involved then they may have avoided all this. Some of them saved me when I was at my lowest point. If anything happens them then I'll never forgive myself!"
I looked at him with pity in my eyes "kokichi" I bent down and gently petted his head "shh please don't cry. I promise that I'll save the remnants"
"really?" he looked up at me with teary eyes.
"of course" I smiled at him "I can't let any victims of junko get hurt. After all in a twisted way they're just like us right?"
He didn't say a word. He just ran up and hugged me. I hugged him back with a gentle smile.
Now to figure out how to keep that promise!
