Kokichis pov

I took a couple of deep breaths. Ok in a couple of seconds the lights will go out. Then I will make my move. This is my one chance. Please don't blow it!

The lights in the room when out. Quick as lightning I threw the gas balls in, knocking both girls out. I put on my gas mask and went inside.

My hands began to shake. I couldn't move. I felt scared all of a sudden. My mind flashed back to the future Fondation member. The blood on my hands. The smell of death in the air. I can't do it. I can't kill again.

I rushed out of the room as fast as I could.

"what happened?" kazuichi asked "I though you were going to kill her"

"I couldn't do it" I burst into tears "I'm so sorry!"

"aww it's ok kiddo. I'm just glad I could be of help" he smiled at me.

I teared up and hugged his waist. He hugged me back gently. It felt like I was being hugged by chiaki again.

For once since the day chiaki died I felt safe..
