Women believe that rape happens when men cannot control their sexual desires or public rejection or humiliation. That's not the actual situation. It's completely a woman's fault.

As discussed earlier, it's because of women's appearance, dressing and submission leads to her rape. The fact that she is a woman catches his attention. So it's our fault that we are born girl. After a rape, when a rapist is questioned, his answer is usually that 'she responded to his advances'.

Keeping aside my sarcasm, women often blame themselves for responding to the rapist's advances. Sexual arousal is not always fully under our control. Our body may simply react to his touch. In fact, any body reacts to the stimuli. That's what Biology Textbook says. Rape doesn't happen where you think it does.

Back to sarcasm mode, rape is not only a sexual assault but it is physical and mental trauma. If you think rape is bad then martial rape is the worst. There are talks going on to make strict laws on marital rape; it's practically of no use. Before you jump on me with daggers and swords and guns and tanks, I shall explain you the reason why it won't work.

Some section of men in our society believe that having sex with their wives is solely their decision, whether the wife is interested or not is none of their business. When you talk about marital rape being criminalized, they start getting confused as they feel their rights are violated. They say criminalization of marital rape is not necessary.

Suppose even after strong opposition, if the laws come into action, the case will go for, say around ten years. That's the minimum time for a judgement to be passed in India. Which means the wife will get justice after ten years. You know what the irony is? The husband will be released on bail after two hours.

Justice is served, isn't it?

Family gatherings and dinners would be awkward. Really very awkward. There would be some relative of yours who would love to know each and every detail of the case, pissing everyone.

If you don't take it to court, what's even more worse in these cases are that the next morning you get up, you have to do normal house chores like nothing happened the previous night. Like seriously you have to pretend nothing happened. If you are living with your in-laws who don't care about your consent then you have to be a great actoress.

I have only one advice to such wives- just LEAVE him. It's that simple. Now the justice is served.
