Recently I've been noticing a trend among Star Wars fans, particularly younger ones (ironically) to hate all things that came post-Disney. I try to ignore fandom toxicity, but sometimes it gets way out of hand.

I understand if you dislike post-Disney because of flaws you see in the story, but in my humble opinion, it is silly to hate something simply because it was headed by Kathleen Kennedy instead of George Lucas. Can't you find anything that came out of the buyout? I think if you can't, you have a serious issue of OT-only bias. And as I've explained before, that is a ridiculous notion as well, assuming you are a dedicated fan.

Yes, TFA and TLJ have their flaws. If you really hate them that much, the old canon is still around. But guess what? Just because I diss Grievous' new story and take the old canon instead does not mean I hate all of what Dave Filoni made. It is unreasonable to hate on KK and the new team for everything if you just prefer EU over ST. At the very least, she's bringing Clone Wars back! Isn't that something to be happy about?

I'm just tired of people hating on everything post-Disney, because it encourages fandom hatred. It's even worse when these same people call anyone who does like the ST fake fans, or suggest that they are purists for liking the old canon better. Give me a kriffing break. At least the ST is official content. The EU, whether you prefer it or not, was not made by LucasFilm. Does that mean that LucasFilm is always the better party when it comes  to making a good story? Absolutely not. But stop pretending you're more of a Star Wars fan. Both are Star Wars, and we should leave it at that.
