Stress Reliever?

I just realized I will watch scary/creepy/disturbing videos for like a whole day to a week and then not watch any for months. Ive been thinking that maybe its some kind of stress reliever  for me.

I just noticed I do it after my parents fight or I have a exam im worried about. It has been a weird awakening for me.

Maybe me staying up later is also some kind of stress reliever too? I dont really know anymore.  

Well if anyone is reading this, have you ever had anything like this?
