today march 14th one month after the park land school shooting our school and thousands of other schools in the US had a walk out. we basically stood up walked out of class and sat in the atrium. Several students presented speeches and it was really moving to see hundreds of kids my self included get up out of class and sit down in protest of the gun laws that allowed 21 people to be murdered in the parkland school shooting. like seriously what other purpose do you have to own a semi automatic gun other than to kill people. like i could get a hunting rifle to go hunting or even a small pistol to defend yourself. But why the hell would you ever! ever! need a gun that shoots 3 bullets a second other than to partake in a mass shooting. 

here are some quotes from the speakers that really moved me.

"there have been over 40 mass shootings in the us in the last 3 months"

"the 2nd amendment was created 200 years ago when guns shot 3 times a minute now they shoot 3 times a second. so why is it that the 2nd amendment hasn't been changed at all when so many other amendments have?"

"why are the politicians in the government saying that we have no voice in this or we are to young to understand when we are the ones who are being shot and killed everyday in the united states. why are the politicians pushing there own agendas instead of helping to protect lives?"

 "we are students. we are victims. we are change."
