I fell asleep on the night of July 27th, thinking of my 'mystery' dragon. He came to me again, and this time I got something I didn't expect to ever happen to me. He looked at me, seeming surprised and pleased."You must know by now, that I have obviously taken a great interest in you. You have honored me with your respect and trust, something few humans have these days." He had said, smiling at me. Our eyes met for a longer period of time than usual, and I knew that we saw something in each other. He then asked me a series of questions.
"Would you sacrifice yourself, for me?"
To which I answered "Yes, without hesitation. I know that you would do the same for me."
He then asked, "Do you consider me as I consider you? A brother, and a true friend?" To which I responded, "Yes I do."
He asked a third, and final question.
"Would you, honor me by joining my side for eternity as my Rider? I swear that I shall fight alongside you and even die for you if the occasion such arose."
I could feel my body trembling with excitement and it honestly felt like I might explode from happiness. "I am greatly honored to join you as your Rider. We are meant for this. We are brothers."
To this, he smiled happily and bowed his head towards me. "You have earned the right to know my name. My name is Lerinth. And I hereby grant you the title, Rider of Lerinth!"
